Was I crazy to buy a Neta V now the company is going bust?
TimBKK replied to BritManToo's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
I would guess that the odds are in your favor, 60-40-ish?, that this a decent bet to make and that you’ll get your money’s worth over time. Only other thought is that the Neta V design team should have been fired a long time ago (joking!) -
I agree - there is a not insubstantial percentage of Thai people who are opposed to “legalization” and it is easy to see why, frankly. Write a law or legislation that is more gray than black/white and, unsurprisingly, a bit of chaos has ensued. I have no idea what the solution is at this point but would guess that whatever sticks, few people on either side will be happy.

There really should be a way to ignore an entire thread on AN. It surprises me that there isn’t.

I’m no foodie but did enjoy Tarka House on Soi 13/4 - would go back fwiw Friendship has a variety of Indian foods in the frozen food section, good for a decent and easy meal at home.

Crime Loan Shark Arrested After Charging Brutal Interest on ฿3,000 Loan
TimBKK replied to Georgealbert's topic in Isaan News
They are the lowest of the low, really despicable characters, and often headed up by someone in a uniform of one color or another. I genuinely despise them as they take full advantage of people often at their lowest or most vulnerable moments. And yet…lots of Thais have no other choice -

I have been watching ‘Murder 24/7’ recently - British series, very interesting (and well done) IMO, especially when compared to its American counterpart, if you will, ‘The First 48’ in how murder investigations are conducted. “Murder 24/7 is a true crime documentary series that follows real-life murder investigations in real time. The show provides an inside look at the work of detectives and forensic experts as they conduct their investigations, review CCTV footage, question witnesses, and gather evidence. The series has been praised for its realistic portrayal of the investigative process and the stresses involved in homicide policing.”

800k Not In the Bank Method
TimBKK replied to Forever Young's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I think you may be right, ~ 17 usd to send by Wise; ~ 15 for BKK Bank to receive = ~ 32 usd / 1040b each month x 12 is 12480b. Maneerat and Cambodia Inter both charge 12500b for (OA) extension. The only way I can see it working out is if you have a sending account that does not charge a outgoing wire transfer fee e.g. brokerages like Vanguard or Fidelity (depends on how much money you have with them, I believe). Otherwise, just pay an agent like you say - its so much easier and less stressful. -

ok, thanks @Sheryl -
From FIS High 420 online shop (translated): Summary from what the department announced and I asked the provincial public health office myself: Not yet required for GACP In the meantime, a brief summary while waiting for the provincial public health offices of each province to come out and summarize: 1. Normal trading for 2 months 2. No smoking in the shop 3. Submit information for Por Tor 27 and Por Tor 28 4. Buyers do not need a medical certificate yet (in the process of making the form) ***I repeat, you do not need to use it yet. 5. Do not post any advertisements at all. No need to be alarmed, this is the time for capitalists to rake in money, GACP work, low farm prices, G25-35. As for normal grade farm work, it is still the same.
