  2. That's right. Immigration offices do not issue work permits. They are issued by the Department of Employment at the Ministry of Labour.
  3. Did you believe that "doing 90 days on time" extended your perssion to stay?
  4. Where a doule taxation agreement (DTA) is in place, that DTA says in what country the income is assessed for taxation.
  5. Go to your agent's place on Friday morning and tell her that if she does not return your passport to you immediately you will, for your security, have to report it stolen by her. Then, if you don't get your passport, go to the police and report it stolen and take her to court. This information is given on the basis of the limited information you have provided.
  6. You have to apply for a one-year extension of stay. When you want to travel abroad, you apply for a re-entry permit at your local immigration office before leaving Thailand.

  8. The emphasis is on assessable income. The recent Revenue Department Order No. 161/2566 is about income earned abroad, ie outside Thailand, that is assessable in Thailand. If there is a Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) between Thailand and another country and if this DTA states that some income in that other country is assessable in that country, then that income is not assessable in Thailand. That's the purpose of a DTA, and it works both ways. For the record, here is an English translation of the entire text of the Revenue Department Order No. 161/2566 Revenue Department Order 161-2566.pdf And here is a link to the original Thai text of the Order, included in the news article linked to in the OP of this topic: https://www.thaienquirer.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/IMG_3943.jpg
  9. I suggest you ask in the Thai Language forum for a translation or use ChatGPT.
  10. I put the Thai text of the Revenue Department Order through a machine translator (Google Bard), corrected some errors with numbers and dates, this is the result: The way I read this, it is not a change in the Revenue Code but a change in the practice of implementing Section 41, paragraph 2 of that law. Does anyone have the text of Section 41, paragraphs 2 and 3 of the Revenue Code?
  11. This is a duplicate of this earlier topic: https://aseannow.com/topic/1306628-tm30-new-website-address-for-filing-notifications-and-registration/
  12. I don't think there is a universal standard. If I knew and told you how it is done in Switzerland, it would not help your friend if he changed his name in Ecuador.
  13. Removed an off-topic post (this topic is not about "blue and yellow housebooks")
  14. @curiousteacher I see nothing on the website of the Thai embassy in Poland that indicates the availability of e-visa application. https://warsaw.thaiembassy.org/en/publicservice/nono?page=618e8d1f33302c61b24338d2&menu=5fa59ae0bc103314841cb142 Instead, a link to a paper application form is given: https://image.mfa.go.th/mfa/0/4SH3tgjzaB/VISA_application_form_2020.pdf
  15. @Chivas What happens when you phone the Thai embassy in London? I am asking because recently, there was a topic that led to strong suspicions that the operations of the visa section at that embassy was taken over by hackers and even phone calls were not answered. Something seems to be seriously awry there.
  16. From the information you have given in your post we know that you are a UK citizen. The answer to your question depends on the following: 1. At the Thai embassy in what country do you plan to apply for the visa? 2. On the date of your application, will you be residing in the UK/Ireland/UK Territories? 3. Will the booking reservation for your trip to Thailand show that the trip starts in the UK/Ireland/UK Territories?
