  1. Panaprai Sukcharoen is a farang name is it. Which country?
  2. Do you not understand the meaning of the word 'phased?'
  3. Every morning, when I start up my computer I see the following 3 statements on my desktop. #1 Let go of Worries. #2 Let go of Thoughts. #3 Enjoy the Moment. These are the 3 Golden Rules as laid down by my Qigong master and he may just have the answer to your problems. But I'm not going to try and convince you of this, rather I suggest that you visit his website and see what you think. I'm just an enthusiastic pupil who has greatly benefited from his teachings. https://flowingzen.com/start-here/
  4. As of November 2023, 676 people have travelled to space. Every single one of them have confirmed that the Earth is round.
  5. My research suggests that a 'normal' prostate size is 25ml, so it's more likely that yours, at 45ml is 'normal for your age', just like mine. And my symptoms are very much like yours as well. At first I was prescribed Doxazosin which worked very well for about 2 years and then the effectiveness gradually reduced and I didn't like the side effect which was edema. (Swelling of the feet and ankles) As a keen walker that was very unwelcome. I value sleep a lot and the night time trips to the bathroom were equally unwelcome and so I decided to quit the medication and try using a single use catheter instead. I now use one last thing at night, just before lights out to ensure that my bladder is completely empty and I also practice intermittent fasting so no food or drink, especially alcohol after 6pm. Now I usually get up to 4 hours sleep before I need a pee and generally I only need to go once in the night. Oh what bliss! It's a simple and inexpensive solution and it works! Give it some thought
  6. What a stupid attitude. There are only 6 recorded occurrences of this happening worldwide. How about we stick to worrying about road deaths and leave nature to get on with its life! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reticulated_python#:~:text=It is an excellent swimmer,%2C eaten) by reticulated pythons.
  7. Same thing happened in our village about 2 weeks ago. Although my wife is our phu yai ban's aunty, and I'm privy to some things that go on around here I didn't get to hear what the results were, if any, although I do know there are a couple of users living here. P. S. I was NOT required to provide a sample.
  8. You got that bit wrong for a start! What else don't you know?
  9. They are running out of 'fatigue life'. All aircraft do eventually. That's why they have to be replaced.
  10. Why should they have? 'The aircraft was not in Thai airspace and it was not a threat to Thailand'. https://www.france24.com/en/20140319-thai-radar-unknown-aircraft-mh370-malaysia
  11. I've been using the income method (marriage) for 9 years now and I've never any serious issues, certainly nothing that has caused me any angst. We were only required to have a house visit on the 1st year and we back then we needed a witness, but from then on it's been more or less routine. The 1st year following the loss of the embassy letters was a bit nerve racking, but I'm used to the routine now. In fact this year I was complemented on my 'well presented' paperwork package. Rare to get praise from an IO! (although she did say it in Thai, to my wife!) As @DrJack54 said earlier, 'most issues for folk complaining about extensions based on marriage is down to things such as errors in docs supplied etc'.
  12. Another thought occurred to me. If you continue to get stuck on this you might consider going to Savannakhet and get a single entry Non Imm O based on marriage. AFAIK there is still no financial requirement for this. But check first, just in case!
  13. We married first, then we returned to Egypt where we were living at the time. I then got myself a Non Imm O visa from the Thai embassy in Cairo and on our next visit, we tramped around Robinsons until we found a bank that said yes. That was Krungsri and I've been with them ever since. As others have indicated, you just have to keep trying. Having your wife in tow (or even in the lead) can often help.
  14. Off topic but here's our air quality this morning. I'm off for my walk right now.
  15. I discovered, fairly recently that we actually live in the coldest region in Thailand. Sakon Nakhon's lowest recorded temperature was -1.4oC in 1974! The long sleeved jerseys an woolly hats are out already and I'll be digging out our thickest duvet before too long. It's great for walking though. I love this time of the year. 16. Same answer as above. I've just been there.
  17. Click on 'Forum home' at the to left of this page. Scroll down until you come to 'Thailand Life - Community Forums'. Scroll down within that box until you come to 'Thailand Motor Forum'. Then click the appropriate subject. Easy, peasy.
  18. It's not me intention to start yet another debate on the topic of income tax. I'm just curious to know, as I'm sure others are what the general sentiment is amongst forum members.
  19. That is NOT the FULL conversation. It is only my reply to Newnative. and is being used out of context. Try again.
  20. Please go back and read the conversation fully. There is NO contradiction at all.
  21. @Lacessit's comment was correct. The branches (the visible side of banking) will be open, but the HQ and admin centres do not work weekends. E.g. a Wise transaction which has been tagged 'long stay' will not be processed on a W/E. P.S. There is absolutely no need for sarcasm!
  22. My wife was asked to provide a copy of her divorce certificate in Aug last year, following 8 renewals of my extensions. She had kept it (fortunately) and I e-mailed a copy to the office the same day and that was the end of the matter. I do know that she had her surname switched back to her family name prior to our marriage 10 years ago. Her lawyer/cousin assured her that it was necessary. The matter was not mentioned again this year when I did my renewal.
  23. Branches yes, but not the HQ and admin centres, where all the transactions are handled. I have a couple of monthly direct debits and they are never paid out at weekends. The same would be true for incoming transactions.
  24. However, with Wise you will get the mid-market rate. Whereas with a SWIFT transfer you will get the buy-rate. Plus the receiving bank will make 500 THB charge to receive it. Do the math for yourselves.
  25. Quite so and it's significant that the O/P's perceived problem occurred on a Friday afternoon. Wise's partners here in Thailand rely on businesses depositing funds into their accounts. Deposits that are ultimately destined to settle accounts in our home countries. It's a 'closed loop' system. I would suspect that deposits would slow down as we head towards the weekend. BTW I transferred just over 1,000 GBP to my Kasikorn account this morning at around 7:15. It took about 5 seconds. Wise is not broken yet.
