New passport ….having information transferred
I renewed my passport by mail using the services provided by the US Embassy. Easy and efficient. That cost to me was about 1,900 THB if I remember correctly. The important point is that when the embassy returned my new passport, it came with a letter on embassy letterhead with a signature. The letter informed Thai immigration of the issuance of the new passport and requested any relevant stamps be transferred to the new passport. Without this letter, immigration at Chaeng Watthana in Bangkok would not proceed with the transfer. Since this method of renewal is the only method available (I believe), I think your agent did that and received the letter I refer to. Thus, they have you on the hook for doing the transfer, unless they are willing to hand over that letter (or Pattaya immigration does not require it).

advise needed. visarun. got rejected on airport
Right. There is a big difference between staying the full length of a VE entry then exiting and entering in one day for another VE to stay the full length again (rinse, repeat), as opposed to coming VE for the weekend two or three times every month, or coming VA for 30 days two or three times a year. And this is not lost on IO's (in general). That said, I believe most people here know what a "proper visa" is for their case. It is just that sometimes that visa/extension is not available to them.

possible to break a lease contract ?
You are probably referring to the law passed some years ago that placed restrictions (like only one month deposit, etc.) on landlords. That law does only apply to landlords with 5 or more properties. Here is a law firm's take on that law: https://www.sunbeltasia.com/new-rental-laws-in-thailand Aside from the above regulations, the only means of breaking a lease are contained within the lease itself. My leases all have a "livable" clause, meaning that if the property becomes "unlivable", the lease can be terminated without penalty. This would need to be addressed in the lease. "Bad state" is generally not going to fall under any clause for termination. Unless it causes the property to be "unlivable". If this were me, I would talk to the landlord and explain what you think needs to be addressed. Explain that you will need to relocate if the issues are not addressed, and that you are willing to abandon the deposit. This will hopefully get some attention and generate action by the landlord to correct matters.

UNmute your life story while you still can…
So not true. Let's correct that: every person thinks they are unique and believes they have a life story that will prove valuable for posterity.

possible to break a lease contract ?
Unless your deposit is more than 100,000 THB, simply moving out and abandoning your deposit is going to be much cheaper than "going to court".

You may want to consider buying a ticket for your gf to bring your belongings to you in Vietnam (or where ever you end up).

I'm Too Happy for My 3BB
Have enjoyed excellent 3BB service for over 12 years. However, at my new condo, AIS was the only option. Not dissatisfied with AIS fiber at all:

How much more time will be wasted on fights that probably are just symbolic?
Politics is, as always and forever will be, solely about survival. "Issues" are only properly addressed when they are part of the survival strategy.

Thai gold prices drop at market open, gold bars at 34,050 baht
The price of gold in Thailand is the price of gold in USD times the USDTHB exchange rate. Any other value would feed arbitrageurs until it fixed itself.

How to support 4 monitors using integrated Intel graphics CPU?
You are absolutely correct, of course. If you can configure a machine with integrated graphics that meets your needs, then all good. I just do not know enough about that (have not looked at PC hardware in over 10 years) to advise you.

How to support 4 monitors using integrated Intel graphics CPU?
My boss had a dedicated video card that he needed to support 4 trading monitors. That card lasted for 5 years without a problem, and it had no fan to make noise. It was cheap, simple, and made attaching monitors easy. You are not trying to achieve record breaking frame rates in Call of Duty. You do not need some supercharged nvidia GPU. You just need a simple video card that supports 4 monitors.

BKK to Korat Bus
It was a number of years ago, but I remember a TV up at the front. Problem is, I cannot remember how I listened. I do not remember if it was plugged in headphones like on a plane, or if there were speakers at every seat. I am sorry, but I cannot remember that. I just remember having legroom in a large comfortable seat with leg rests.

Have traveled via Nakhon Chai Air numerous times, and found them quite acceptable. If you can get the VIP bus, definitely do that.

American tourist found with magic mushrooms at police checkpoint in Kamala
14 years in BKK, and I have been "searched" at every checkpoint. Dozens in fact. The searches are cursory, but they always looked inside my cigarette pack and made me empty my pockets. I guess I just look dangerous. Two cops on a motocy stopped me once, and one started putting his hand into my pocket. This was daytime, on a small soi in a business area with no entertainment to speak of. I asked, "What are you looking for?", and his reply was "gun". 555 I inquired further, "There is a problem with old farangs carrying guns?!" They left.

Kasikorn Bank sending of international funds via K+ experiences ? Limits ? Problems ?
I have sent money twice from K+ to my CapitalOne account in the US. The limit per day is $50,000 USD, which I never came close to. One transfer was $100 to test the transfer, and the other was $2,000 USD. Both executed in expected time, and the exchange rate was respectable. I honestly cannot remember the fees. I believe I selected "let receiving bank charge me", and the cost was roughly $15. Did not have to provide evidence on the origin of the money. Of course, this was all before the "face ID authentication" business. Not sure if that gets involved for these transfers.

At 6'4", in Thailand, I wish it were true ^_^

How many of you are tossers ?
In 13 years, I have lost two cigarette butts - one on a motocy and one on a balcony when the breeze caught it. Otherwise, everything I have ever tossed went into a bin.

Changing from work permit to retirement extension
The visa and the extensions are two separate steps, and I was clear the information was about my extension. Ss you say, I obtained my non-O in country at CW. However the Credit Advice was required for both the visa and the extension.
