Anyone who has visited a wind farm and witnessed birds dead, dying and maimed underneath the windmills should, at least, have some degree of sorrow for their suffering.
As usual not much sympathy here or in the Thai media for the elephant, only reports of frightened people running in all directions. Utterly pathetic. The cruel way elephants are treated in Thailand is a national disgrace.
While there are many agencies with people in Thailand they cannot make arrests or take any direct action against fugitives. However they work closely with the RTP who regularly take action on their behalf.
Long time ago now, but in the 70s and 80s dishes containing magic mushrooms were openly available at many resorts/islands in Thailand. Personally I liked the easygoing atmosphere, as I did in Amsterdam in those days.
What I said was in PP the people are friendly and the nightlife is entertaining, as was the case in Bangkok 30 plus years ago. Central Bangkok has always been well developed, as it was when I first arrived here in 1962.
You sound confused. It will be difficult to find anywhere more lively and interesting than Bangkok and environs. However, Phnom Penh resembles life in Bangkok 30 odd years ago. Friendly people, entertaining nightlife. Worth a look.
