    Best restaurant for English food is Nickys Soi Buakhao, amazing breakfast still 99 baht. I love their toad in the hole.

    They did it once, chaos, traffic was backed up from the lights to Sukhumvit. Took me 30 minutes just to crawl that 1 km.

    I agree. I have never understood the premium that people put on a "sea view". Usually it it just a thin piece of blue way off in the distance with nothing to see. Maybe OK if you are a low floor right on the beach but not many of those around.

    He killed a guy over a Bolt taxi fare? probably about 100 baht. Unbelievable.

    I think it is much worse than before. I dread using it now. What was the point of the traffic lights at Soi 8. The one time they used them it was chaos. No they just blink orange, how much did that cost?

    Some beautiful parks in Bangkok like Lumphini and Benjakitti but only Bangkok matters in Thailand.

    Oh you mean the tiny park in Naklua that they just concreted over and in Jomtien you mean Nong Pong? the pond with a concrete ring round it. Yes some nice green areas around Lake Mabprachan if you don't mind a 20 minute drive to get there.

    Not really most journeys take 15-20 minutes from Jomtien to say Soi Diana in Pattaya. During the day even less.

    Please tell me of the other parks. I don't count "parks" like Nong Pong which is just a lake with a concrete path around it. My definition of a park includes a few trees and grass.

    If i was looking now i would go for the Axis on the top of Pratamnack Hill (or if rich the new Grand Solaire). Medium sized upper end condo so you don't have to mix with the riff raff in the VTs. On baht bus route, get a condo at the back so right on Pattaya's only "park". Easy trip into Jomtien/Pattaya or the beach.

    Rule of thumb i would say is 1 million baht a year. Upto 85 say 30 million. But of course it depends on how much rent he pays, how much he pays for P4P and his health long term. Rather than pay 30k a month for rent for 30 years (11 million) i would buy somewhere 3-4 million.

    I like Big C Extra but it's harder to get to for me, going through town, and their meat is so expensive.

    So a 1000 baht bottle of wine in the shops now will be reduced to 300 baht, i don't believe it.

    Is it worth the risk. Just get a bus to Angkor. There is nothing else to see in Cambodia.

    Basically they are just on line brothels. Personally i can't see the attraction in ordering up a total stranger, like a KFC, for ten minutes of fun.

    The problem is that people's idea of "surviving" has changed. My wife didn't work when we were bringing up children so we had to make sacrifices. Few foreign holidays, nights out etc. Now just "surviving" means 3 foreign holidays a year, 2 mobile phones, streaming tv and sky sports, 2-3 nights out a week, new leased BMW every 3 years. No wonder people can't "afford" to have children.

    How can a place with 1,000 customers be a "secret". Obvious they would be raided at some point.

    So we can forget about any young girls coming into the bars. The average age now is about 40, will creep upto 50.

    I use the Krungsri Mai Tai Dee acoount. Only pays 0.9% but acceptable to immigration, you get a normal savings account with debit card and bank book etc. Used to be a good rate when it was 0.1% back home.
