Why care, the jabs are useless after 6 months. -
Army trucks and men on standby in case truckers go on strike in Bangkok

That's what i don't understand about the strike. Unless he is a owner/driver then his employer will pay for the fuel increase. -

Must be all teetotallers -
Yes this will be the only thing that works. I don't care about being denied entry to a restaurant etc but i need the visa.

I think it's a major issue. We have the last 3 F1 races in the Middle East (4 this season) in countries that have zero motor sport history. But then most sport is blocked to the average TV viewer so does it matter if they race around the sand dunes. We lost Fox Sports from 1.10.21 so there goes any coverage of F1, MotoGP, WSB etc. (Don't mention Truevisions i wouldn't give them a single satang).

Is this the end of Thailand as a Retirement Destination
Henryford replied to Robin's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
An interesting video on Youtube yesterday from Integrity Legal (a Bangkok legal firm) saying that the Thai Embassy in Los Angeles was quoting retirement visa requirements of 1,200,000 baht in the bank or 100,000 baht a month income. I wonder if this is an indication of a general increase in retirement limits in the future. I guess the 800k/65k has been around for a long time. I would bet a big increase is due soon. -
Yes an interesting video by Mr Egg (a Walking Street bar owner) on Youtube was quoting this saying it was a direct comment from the PM that there will be no bars/nightlife until 2022. We shall see.

12 month extention Jomtien
Henryford replied to smedly's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Must be recent, i went with my details late September. -
What are you talking about. I have been here 15 years too. The annual extension to my visa takes all of 2 hours, ONCE a year, total cost 2000 baht. The 90 day reporting takes about 15 minutes each time, total cost zero. Hardly a reason for leaving. I think we might have a problem if they added insurance requirements to Non O visas but no sign of that yet.

Europe facing 500,000 more Covid deaths by February, WHO warns

So the jabs don't work -
Another nail in Pattaya's coffin. In a few years there will be nothing left of the Pattaya heaven we had in 2006-2012. Won't be worth flying 13,000 miles.
