  1. He escaped while they were busy with his hands and legs tied up. Sounds more like an insurance scam to me. Conviently the security camera was out of commission too.
  2. They are not denying you coverage. They are putting exclusions on your coverage. The problem I have with that is they exclude all that stuff but charge you the same amount as someone with no exclusions.
  3. He is definitely not dressed as a monk. Does that say KFC on the top of the hat?
  4. On booking you can filter for pet friendly hotels/resorts. IBIS takes pets but not sure if they have a size limit.
  5. I got mine in Ratchaburi the same day, maybe a 30 minute wait at the most, a couple of years ago now.
  6. Isn't 50,000,000 people x 10,000 baht equal to 500 billion baht? Not the 50 billion they are claiming. Thus reducing the total budget from 500 billion baht to 0 baht. Or perhaps increasing the 500 billion baht budget to a 1 trillion baht budget.
  7. I believe he is saying they are in the hallway outside of their rooms instead of on the outside of the building. It must be a hot hallway.
  8. Next they will refuse to investigate a murder unless the murdered person files a complaint...
  9. I use it. Free money wires and they pay for ATM fees too. The biggest obstacle is needing 25,000 dollars US to open an account.
  10. A good rainy season and it will probably come down on its own.
  11. Last week I was driving thru town as school was getting out and these drivers were coming out of the side soi onto the main road loaded with students without slowing down or even looking at traffic. Like they just expected everyone to stop for them. It was crazy.
  12. I give away around 10K a month on average. But I don't like to give to people asking for it. I like helping people I see that I think need some help. I have even had some of them refuse to take my money.
  13. It seems like they might offer a cheaper rate but seeing the Thai license jack your insurance costs up.
  14. I once read that women associate large penises with pain.
  15. Definitely spending more now than I did 10 years ago. Pretty much everything has gone up in price. Probably averaging around 100,000 - 120,000 a month. But if I wanted to live frugal and not travel much I could live on a lot less.
  16. My solar installation included the first 2 years of maintenance.
  17. Yeah! My new home will be completed in about a month and solar system is already installed. Don't know if it is big enough to provide all the electricity. 10K inverter and 20K of batteries. Can add more later if needed. Thinking of getting an EV with bidirectional charging for extra storage.
  18. I'd respond but I'm only 66...
  19. A very good place to show off your gold jewelry too.
  20. We now have 3 thai dogs we 'rescued'. The first one we also named Lucky. My wife always feels bad when she sees these abandoned dogs and wants to save them. I keep telling her there are millions of them in Thailand and you can't help them all.
  21. I hope they are getting paid overtime wages. I bet they don't really feel as confident as they are saying they are.
  22. Actually the last PM at one point said he was considering making meth legal because Thai people were not like foreigners and knew how to handle it. He said it was useful for students and truck drivers.
  23. You can do the 90 day up to 7 days late at the local immigration office. Alternatively if you just blow it off you will have to pay a 2,000 baht fine next time. The biggest cons of using an agent is paying for something that is free. Also some people have lost their passports using agents.
