There are hundreds of varieties. Only a few are sold commercially. Thai's like the fruit before it is fully ripened. You'll find in other areas they let the fruit drop from the stem naturally instead of cutting it off a few weeks early. It has more flavor then but the texture is more mushy. I can eat durian and find the taste ok. But for 4-6 hours afterwards it makes me keep burping and getting that smell in my mouth. So I avoid eating it. Besides there is cheaper fruit with better taste anyway.

I don't think this is always true. It depends on the area you are in. Disneyland in Los Angeles used to offer a not advertised discount for locals if they showed an ID with a local address. Dual pricing. I don't know if they still do that.

A long time ago I was rear ended by a big rig at a stop light. I had a hatchback. The rear of the car was flattened into the hatchback trunk space and the hatchback lid was pushed on top of the roof. 4 people in the car and luckily no one was injured. The problem is you never know who is going to move in close to you. It can be great for years and then change all of the sudden. We were looking at property to buy in one area but decided not to buy there. About a year later someone opened a Karaoke bar in one of the lots. So glad we didn't buy there. Where we ending up buying is about 3-4 kilometers from there and I can hear the music at our property. And forget buying close to a Wat. Even if you aren't that close they like to set up speakers a few kilometers away to make sure everyone can hear them.

30 years ago or so it used to be much worse than it is now. That said I have recently noticed an increase in the amount of garbage being thrown out on the roadsides. Seems like they are regressing. I have a neighbor in the mooban who refused to pay when the garbage collection went from 20 to 50 baht per month. They either burn garbage in a vacant lot or go find some road to dump it in.

Looking at previous bills it is better to look at usage rather than cost. See if your usage has increased compared to before. Rates can change so not as good of a way to see what's happening.

Without knowing the whole story. Were any of the company's assests left the the Thai owners? Did she will everything to the maid? It would seem if so the other owner(s) of the company would have claims to its assests too.
