  1. The doors are open. The "hub" of disrespectful, arrogant violent tourists.
  2. Took 15 minutes for everything few days ago. Then enjoyed the hot breakfast in the business class lounge. All quick and efficient.
  3. It certainly isn't just bars. It seems it is a Thai thing in many interactions. I think they feel standing is a sign of being in a hurry or impatient. But, maybe not in a bar but other situations nothing wrong with continuing to stand no law against it.
  4. No you don't. The branch across from Soi 6 opens early 0830 from my last contact there.
  5. If the past year is any example, there are probably more criminals, low lifes and bad actors coming to Thailand then will ever go to the EU. The EU would be lucky to have the Thais.
  6. Sure the bus driver, but things are differnt here. It is the bicyclists respnsiblity like it or not to avoid such collisions. Same on a motorbike drive defensively and always be anticipating for the worst case scenario.
  7. The new world attitude is careless about others. Do what you want when you want and F everyone else. Besides living environments, look at the phone situation. Just have ongoing loud conversation where ever you want who cares about others. Noise and rudeness way of the world now it seems
  8. Many I know hate that they own. Noisy neighbors, stinky food from vents coming into your room, a new bar opens near the building, minimum appreciation, life changes relationships/ family, a newer better building opens nearby you wish you would have bought there, that empty lot next to you is now a construction site for the next 2 years, I need to say more? The lack of flexibility, etc owning is not for me. Lots of people stuck in their places trying to get out. No thanks.
  9. The bus is much better then a private car or taxi. Just like economy flights are much better then business class. After all, economy is fun.
  10. Not a fan of weed, but I disagree. Seems these shops are promoting tourism in a way. Also, I have gone inside a few mostly very nice organized shops and the owners very friendly. I am sure it has caused some problems, but not more then booze I bet. A shame if they go thru with it.
  11. Bus way too annoying. Garlic and pizza breathe, loud talkers various languages, talking on phone, phone ding ding and that terrible "Line" notification mouse voice. Plus, if you have one with a toilet it stinks so bad. I have a car now it is great, but only taxi if I didn't.
  12. Abnb is cheaper then a hotel if you want to just stay in a room in someones house. You obviously have access to their home, kitchen, TV, etc. I personally cannot do it I am too use to my space and privacy. But, for a few weeks for many it may be doable.
  13. It is disgusting really. So selfish and 3rd world thinking. Can't blame any of the workers in the bars and massage shops just trying to support families.
  14. I believe some banks have them. I used a Thai lawyer to do it and it was accepted abroad.
  15. Another thing is the law states they get 30 days of sick leave a year. 30 days paid! So, take a holiday, call in sick a couple days a month, relax enjoy yourself. Also, the law states workers cannot work more then 48 hours a week. So, claims that they are forced to work many hours may be true. But, you would think there would be a lot of social media posts how their rights are being abused which is not the case.
  16. 26 in the above chart. All these holidays just add to lack of productivity and debt.
  17. Sure seems like a lot more then 13 or 16. 18. Great to see some big rain.
  19. Do you eat dinner early? And seriously, what about her bowel movements? If she goes right when she wakes up then she might be hungry right away. Also, it can become habitual. I need coffee within 15 minutes of waking up or it affects my mood. Just more of a habit annoying if not. I would not see a Doctor could be a phase. And in reality, it is good I think she has an appetite and is not complaining about feeling sick.
  20. 1967 Chevy Z28. Blue with white stripes. Worth a small fortune now.
  21. Yes. It is also a filthy hole. Expats there wish they could live in Thailand, but many cannot afford it. But, people should go check it out a lower living standard and lower quality of life may be just what they are looking for.
  22. Yes, global warming everyone should go buy an electric car and stop eating meat.
  23. Malaysia? I thought it was the most racist country I had ever been. Terrible place, I left early and would not go back if you paid me.
