  1. Correct. And as most girls/boys working in Thai karaoke bars are providing sexual services for money, even more illegal!
  2. Wearing masks when the PM2.5 levels are dangerously high (like now) is sensible. However, I suspect most don't wear the most effective ones.
  3. This thread is not about migrant workers, it's about UK citizens being able to settle in the UK with a foreign spouse.
  4. It's been a "major test" for previous governments too - not just in Thailand, but in the whole of Asia! Not sure why they expect Thailand's government to miraculously solve a global problem when no other government has.
  5. It's that time of year. Get your mask on and put air purifiers throughout your home.
  6. You may be right, but I think HMPO are ultra cautious about passport forgeries and if applications in the UK require the old passport to be sent (I assume they do?) I guess applications from Thailand need to be similarly processed, although we should be grateful that they kindly take into account the requirement for foreigners in Thailand to have their passport with them at all times!
  7. See @sandyf reply. In Thailand you retain your passport, so HMPO need to see that you're a real person!
  8. You have to send a colour copy of every page of the expiring passport, so if HMPO were so inclined they could look at all your visa/extension stamps. But they're not and they won't.
  9. Has it been confirmed that the savings requirement is also being doubled (currently £62,500)?
  10. You're, perhaps deliberately, missing the point. This is about the rights of British nationals to live with their spouse and family in the UK.
  11. Some UK visas for Thai applications are issued in India, but all passport renewals are processed by HMPO in Liverpool.
  12. I predict that even this shameful, evil government will backtrack on this, or obfuscate so that it never actually goes through. It's just a shameless attempt to try and stop Farage and the Reform Party decimating the Tories at next year's election.
  13. What you say makes sense, but I've already bought the camera. RCC look professional. I wonder if they'll install the one I've already bought. I will check. Thanks for the advice.
  14. I installed a front only dashcam 6 years ago myself, but looking at my new front/rear dashcam it looks a lot more difficult, especially fitting the rear cam. What type of establishment can fit it for me? Do B-Quik do this type of job?
  15. Try visiting one of the many "karaoke bars" around soi Korpai affer 2am. You'd be surprised at the number of off-duty bar girls who happily buy boy drinks and barfine the cute young boys who work there.
  16. It's that time of year. Don't expect much improvement until around February.
  17. Except this particular thread is not about being invited! It's about British citizens and their foreign spouses.
  18. Unfortunately, this wasn't your "final comment"! Care to stop now? This useful, topical thread, affecting those who may want to get a Settlement visa for their partner, has already been taken off topic by your Islamophobic, racist comments.
  19. Unfortunately it's not so strange. Brexit/Boris/Farage/Tommy Robinson brought out a whole new type of bigot and they're not going away anytime soon. That said, once the Toris have been swept from power next year, at least we should have a less evil government, although I'm not holding out a lot of hope for Starmer!
  20. So you have no Muslim friends, colleagues, neighbours? Have you ever visited or lived in the south of Thailand or Malaysia/Indonesia? Perhaps you should leave your cloud cuckoo land and join the real world!
  21. There is no requirement to be retired to get an extension based on 'retirement', despite its name (the Thai translation does not mention retirement). It's available to anyone aged over 50 who meets the financial requirements.
