  1. Technically not legal, but everyone does it.
  2. This seems to be a weekly event. I imagine there must be similar services available in every provincial Thai town and city.
  3. I suspect that this may be the very last coronation of a UK monarch. ????
  4. Why? Are you suggesting citizens don't commit crime?
  5. It's not really an "interview"; just an appointment to submit the applicant's biometric details and check documents. You should get a time within a week or two.
  6. While I don't drink the water straight from the tap, I've always used it for cooking. Very surprised to see that some don't!
  7. Why the confusion? Just because kids can't be fined or banned (or imprisoned!) for overstaying, doesn't mean that they shouldn't get a proper visa/extension. If they are to be schooled in Thailand, most schools (international ones particularly international schools) will expect the child to be legally in Thailand.
  8. Good to know! So far, apart from the first one after moving, I've had all my online reports approved (eventually!).
  9. By post it needs to be sent 15 days before.
  10. And? Will there be an announcement every time the case numbers rise, for the rest of time?
  11. If they're classed as government offices then, yes.
  12. This has already been discussed and resolved. Thailand requires a certificate of birth in order to process Thai citizenship. A "Thai birth certificate", however, is a certificate of a birth in Thailand. My son (who is British and not Thai) has one as he was born in Thailand.
  13. As has been explained. Today, 1 May, is not a government holiday.
  14. Not for government offices, including Immigration.
  15. As I say, probably lost in translation or peculiarly Thai!
  16. Maybe something has been lost in translation, but a "birth certificate" is record from the hospital where the birth took place. What you got for your 3 kids was something different.
  17. Yes. It's not a holiday for government offices, including Immigration.
  18. Children are not fined or banned for overstaying, so he can just overstay. When he goes back to Sweden with his Thai dad, his passport will be stamped as overstaying but no fine or ban. He should always enter Thailand on his Thai passport in future!
  19. A birth certificate shows where you were born. You can only get a Thai birth certificate if you're born in Thailand. However, if your son has a Thai mother he can get a Thai passport. You'll need to use his US birth certificate, translated into Thai, and most likely certified/notarised.
  20. I suspect Charles III may be the final monarch. William seems to realise times have changed.
  21. The best person to beat Biden would be Michelle Obama in the Democratic Primary.
  22. Just be patient. My last report took around 14 days between 'pending' and 'approval'. I didn't get the approval until 10 days after the due date.
  23. My last online report (Rayong) took about 2 weeks from 'pending' to 'approval'.
  24. I'm with Lloyds (and have been since 1978) and they have no issue with the fact that I've lived in Thailand since 2005.
  25. Isn't it risky? If it's discovered that you're defrauding the DWP, couldn't you get your pension terminated and have to repay all the underpayments.
