  1. Correct. My 9-year-old gets 40 baht a day for school snacks and 50 baht a week for pocket money.
  2. I've always banked with Lloyds and have continued to do so since moving to Thailand 19 years ago. I do use a family address in the UK, but they know I live in Thailand. For online transactions I use my Thai mobile number to receive the OTP code, which usually works well.
  3. The prisons are over-crowded so it would be ridiculous to exacerbate the problem. His life is pretty much over.
  4. So, if I decide to be ultra-cautious and do a first 90-day report for him, before his next extension, will he be fined 2,000 baht? 🤨
  5. No. A child can only have Thai citizenship if they have a Thai parent.
  6. I agree. But why have a straw at all?
  7. Thanks. That's what I had assumed, but the IO threw me a little by querying why my son hadn't done one!
  8. My son was born in Thailand in 2015 and has lived here all his life (he's a UK citizen). Every year his Extension of Stay has been extended, as my dependant (I have a work Extension). I have never done a 90-day report for him and this has never been questioned at Immigration when processing his extension. For the first time, last year, it was. I just shrugged my shoulders and said I thought he didn't need to do one as he's a child. They seemed to accept that and his Extension was granted. So, when should a child start doing 90-day reports? Children can't be fined, so if I do his first one now, will a fine be levied?
  9. I just completed this quiz. My Score 80/100 My Time 71 seconds
  10. Might be good if portions were more child-size in the US!
  11. I just completed this quiz. My Score 10/100 My Time 75 seconds
  12. Love the Colonel's special recipe, as do Thais. Our local branch is always busy.
  13. I just completed this quiz. My Score 30/100 My Time 59 seconds
  14. Lesson learned? Stick to 'international/private' hospitals in Thailand!
  15. So, reading between the lines, does his closeness to Loomer and the conspicuous absence of Melania, mean anything? 🤭
  16. It's sick how politicians try to make political capital out a child's death.
  17. You just said "no wars". (Fact checking you)
  18. I agree. I would have liked to see Gavin Newsom.
  19. He's more likely to start a World War!
  20. I can understand why those on the right don't want her to win. Just as those on the left fear Trump. The US is politically <deleted> up.
  21. Hopefully, the first time will be a warning. Next year, "make sure you have completed a Thai tax return".
  22. Hmm, so no fighting in Afghanistan, Iraq or Yemen while Trump was in office??🤔
  23. Yes, Harris doesn't have much of a track record, just like most VPs. My point is, Trump had his chance and is now losing his mind, much like Biden. Time for someone new.
  24. That's not what I was referring to. Those on the right blamed/criticised the moderators; those on the left praised them. Pick the one that suits your POV.
  25. You may well be right. But at least she should be given the chance. We know how bad Trump will be, not just for the US but the wider world.
