Many of the easy charging experiences are spoiled by the app payment methods. My U.K. credit card was locked, more of an overly zealous U.K. bank than Thai charging app but its refusal to accept other methods of payment lead me in that direction, on an Altervim charger. I find EV Station Pluz ( Thai debit card), PEA Volta and EleXA (which allows me to pay via wallet without any form of card registration) to be the best. Reversharger recently introduced a Wallet topped up via Prompt Pay and i would use them only the eligible chargers for the 5.8 baht/kw offer are few and far between ( mainly Bangchak pumps ). Those charging apps requiring credit card registration are going to be only in dire need of a charge and last on my list, imho.

In Case You Missed it, the Tattoo Fad is Over
Andrew Dwyer replied to Walker88's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
So, one minor celebrity decided to remove his collection of obscure and, imho, immature tattoos and now tattoos are finished ? I would say tattoos are far from finished, rightly or wrongly the โ fad โ is enjoying its current peak. Adoration for celebrities among the younger generation ( call them sheeple if you like) continues to soar and with people like Post Malone sporting many face tattoos donโt expect it to be โ finished โ anytime soon. -

The man who knew infinity ( 2015 ) A true story of a young Indian scholar who broke barriers at pre WW1 Cambridge despite the difficulties he faced. A great cast, Dev Patel, Jeromy Irons and Toby Jones in particular. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0787524/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk -

BYD Seal tips, tricks and help
Andrew Dwyer replied to macahoom's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
The SIM card is tucked away somewhere in the car, so far has been in a different place for each car ( Atto, Dolphin, Seal etc ) in the Seal is in the bottom of the centre armrest storage area, maybe for Sealion 7 also ? It will give you some services, Navigation, Spotify and Gbox etc ( Gbox is an app from which you can add other apps like YouTube, Google Maps, Netflix and BYD App etc). You will get 500 mb for the first month and 2 gb every month until the car is 2 years old. ( recently the SIM provider was changed from Singtel to True and we supposedly gained an additional 3 months free although this might not apply in your case). OTA updates will come via the SIM also but do not use your 2gb package. You donโt have to do anything to activate the SIM, maybe just push the dealer if it is slow, mine was a couple of days but i heard of others having a long wait. The BYD app is a handy tool which you can download now if you like but i believe can only be activated once the SIM is up and running. Especially handy to remote start the air conditioning to cool the car down, can be used anywhere ( you can also start from the remote but is limited to around 15 metres i believe ). If your car comes with the ABB wall charger then you will also need an app for this build using the BYD installation service they will help you set it up, once set up is plug and play. -

BYD Seal tips, tricks and help
Andrew Dwyer replied to macahoom's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
An OTA due soon ( for Seal and Sealion 6, possibly Sealion 7 already has) to version 2412 which is already out in Europe i believe. Customisable buttons for the controls along the bottom of the Home Screen , a newer shortcut screen and the all important shortcut to seat memory on Home Screen seems like the main change but some other upgrades also coming. Some of the FB software gurus are already upgrading via USB, before the OTA !, as being the first is apparently all important ๐ -

Congratulations. If buying an EV today Sealion 7 would be my choice. Keep us informed on any cool features you find or any questions you may have. -
Brazil has been attempting to adopt Ethanol for 50 years due to a gasoline crisis and excess sugar cane production. While several advances in technology have emerged the end result does not show much improvement. Ethanol was added to gasoline to create โรกlcoolโ , used as an alternative fuel it proved much cheaper but unfortunately the mpg suffered. โFlexโ fuel engines were introduced with the ability to run either fuel or a mixture of both. Fluctuations in gasoline and ethanol price meant sometimes it was more economical to run รกlcool and sometimes gasoline. Resulting in a comical situation where gas stations would display the percentage of price รกlcool versus gasoline: eg. รlcool 69% of gas = use รกlcool รlcool 71% of gas = use gas รlcool 70% of gas = take your pick. Some states taxing differences also come into effect meaning if you live near to a state border it may be possible to get cheaper fuel by travelling a little. While Flex fuel cars took off big time, motorcycles also available, many have stated that due to the tuning of Flex fuel engines to accept both fuels the mpg suffers and opted to have their cars tuned for one fuel only ! While many of the legacy automakers have adopted flexible fuel engines in their new models ( currently 14, including Toyota, Honda, Fiat, Ford and BMW ) some might say they have been forced into production as the population have been lead to believe that โ Flex โ cars are more economical. Others have said that due to the compromise in setting engine tuning the mpg suffers and therefore does not warrant the time and money spent on development.

Well, it appears it was as Fruit Trader said, the aforementioned โ Life Save Unit โ which I had seen on the manual drawing and had no idea what it was . On taking it apart was expecting to see some sort of last chance mesh filter ! Expect the build up of lime scale affected the flexibility of the diaphragm in turn affecting the pressure reading by the switch ?? Saved me time and money as was thinking could only be the bladder tank or the pressure switch at fault. You live and learn โฆโฆโฆ well I did !

The Recruit Season 2 is out and hopefully up to the standard of Season 1 . https://www.imdb.com/title/tt16030542/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk -
Wonder if those were the โ Activity Cars โ, as they like to call them ? Showroom, test drive and show models ( shown at malls and mini motor shows etc ), usually a near perfect car with very low mileage but an early year of manufacture. Often advertised on FB as upgraded models appear or models discontinued. This example of the Ora 07 seems to include used cars ( canโt be that old ) with a checkup, guarantee as per new and all the freebies. GSPO = GWM Standard Pre Owned Seems like a good deal as a hefty discount and ideal for anyone looking at the Ora 07 models

Yes, interesting why only the Atto 3 here gets the dash cam, subsequent BYDโs ( think I am right in saying the Dolphin doesnโt get dash cam as standard ? ) need it retrofitted but thankfully is readily available from online buying sites and even FB jumped on the bandwagon. In the U.K. I see they have to buy the cable along with the dash cam !

Yes, Charge Loma is another app similar to PlugShare.

One thing you should do now you have the car is check that you can charge outside at a charger. You should have registered for some apps already so now just give them a test, 5 minutes charge, to see if you are prepared, I would suggest EV Station Pluz and PEA Volta for starters. Soon you will want to go for a longer drive on the highway or to another city so donโt leave it to the last minute. Oh, and congratulations !, the Atto 3 is a great EV.

Thanks for this, it is called a โ life save unit โ apparently and consists of a diaphragm and a spring sitting underneath the pressure switch: it was a little dirty with hardened lime scale on the diaphragm which could possibly effect the flexibility and give some varying pressures to switch above ? ( am guessing here ). gave it a good old clean and opened the incoming valve just to check clean water was flowing. Put it back together and initially it looks to have done the trick !! Toilet fills without the pump stop/start now but a lot of air in pipework now so will let that clear over a couple of days before celebrating. Thanks @Fruit Trader Had a little look at pressure switch to see if anything untoward there but looks like new and a different type to what i have seen previously. Just for info.
