  1. Do you have the 'Add Friends' option disabled in settings?
  2. Murphy's Law. Never fails.
  3. She is not his wife de jure, by law. So she actually is his de facto wife.
  4. Surely they must. Are the 72 Virgins allowed to attend as entertainment? Then do they elect a leader among themselves, etc ad infinitum like a reflection caught between two mirrors? Religion is a house of cards, shake one and the entire structure falls apart. That's when they start up about 'faith' as the key. You get it or you don't and never the twain shall meet.
  5. Well said and I fully agree, but your premise stated "that once an adult and if living in the west, people can choose" is a key qualifier. Again I agree. I was raised catholic but I was in my 40's before I was able to shed the dogma. Your statement about temporarily 'losing their faith' is clearly evident with many Muslims living or traveling outside their own countries. I've observed it too. The 9-11 highjackers frequented strip bars while taking their flight training and drank excessively. This simply proves my point about their repressive and vindictive treatment of their followers. Also, as one of my muslim friends pointed out, one cannot really speak about Islam collectively as there are literally dozens of variations on Islam and their fight among themselves. Of course many westerners change when leaving home, 'finding themselves', and that is usually gratifying to parents because kids are starting to question things and think for themselves. That said, my statement bears a similar qualifier for those raised in Islam. Rejecting faith ANYTIME in their future life brands them as apostate, strictly forbidden, and punishable by fatwa and death. That is not in any way similar to western freedom of choice. Also Islam's indoctrination begins so early in life and is impressed do deeply that it is all but impossible for those children to shed the dogma, even if they are willing to be banished from their society and face death. Yet another hypocrisy in Islam's claim of being a religion of tolerance and peace. Islam is an outlier cult compared to all other cults globally. It is instead a belief in indoctrination, repression, hypocrisy, intolerance, intimidation, mysogeny, and belligerence. Societies that show overbearing tolerance for Muslims will eventually find their children living under sharia law. Those who offer such tolerance should read the koran carefully before lavishing their approval so easily. That was my point in my reply to you.
  6. Being spoon-fed religious nonsense from the moment of birth is use of force. Very few folks can escape such shackles but please don't call it choice. I sure children choose to wear suicide vests too. They certainly make quite the fashion accessory.
  7. Religion spoils everything. It's a blight on humanity.
  8. But somehow it's always been practiced. It's in the subtext saying "we are the only true ones. God is on our side". Division and repression are Intrinsically part of all religions and cults. BTW, maybe you should read the Koran again. It very clearly states that all infidels should be either executed, enslaved, or taxed. This could be done without hate? I've discussed this with Muslims and they assure me that this isn't really done anymore while asserting that study of the Koran is a pillar of Islam and that the Koran is immutable and wholly true. I'm not the least bit reassured.
  9. They should be though unless it's a private school. Trump's new court is working feverishly to make government and religion one and the same. Kinda like Islam is.
  10. Of course. They don't want religious nuts subverting their own particular brand of lunacy and repression. Every religion boasts of their very own 'One True God'. Makes me wonder if all those gods have a religion with One Truer God.
  11. We can agree on that. Religion soils/spoils everything. Religion is a euphemism for infectious insanity. But as Jeebus said "the nut cases will always be with us".
  12. Sure. Ask yourself "what would trump do if Biden was on trial?" He would order the DOJ to schedule the trials simultaneously while refusing bail bond to all the defendants. They would all be considered guilty until proven innocent. Again, if perverting justice is what it takes to fell this man then I'm all for it. Fight fire with fire.
  13. What race or religion wears that? The Jamaican rasta wear very colorful clothes. Is that what you mean? I guess you could call that both a race and a religion if that's what you're seeking. The real point is that Islam seeks to infiltrate, subvert, and finally dominate any country they enter. It is a pillar of their culture. Islam is not a religion, it's a cult.
  14. The first year I was here it seemed that way to me also. I've come to understand that they aren't aiming for you, but they surely don't care if they accidentally kill you, and clearly don't care if they die too. Nothing will change until the people themselves tire of losing friends and family on the roads.
  15. Just the facts. Nana Dental Clinic in Huahin put 6 implants, upper and lower jaws for my GF two years ago. Have two year grantee on the implants, and 6 month revisits for checkup. Excellent work. Total cost 210,000฿. SOA office equipment, clean, modern office. Female doctor, fully trained in USA and new training in USA once a year. Husband is dentist in USA and American man. I fully and totally recommend her. Non-stop bus available directly to Huahin from Bangkok Airport, ~3 hr ride. For implants you'll probably want to be here for the first month after work for followup etc. If bone marrow work needed before implant, plan on longer. A good dentist will tell you careful work and frequent checkups are crucial for successful implants. PM if you have questions.
  16. That would be my preference. My point is that I don't really carry if he's being unjustly persecuted or not, whether the justice department is biased, or any of the other right wing rants. I'm willing to sacrifice my own ethics and morals to see the man gone. IMO America is going down a bad road; avoiding the mistake of leaving this man in any capacity to influence others is worth any sacrifice of ethics. If USA is going to hell I just want him gone with it. All I know is what America used to stand for and this man definitely ain't that.
  17. Really. I don't care. I just want him gone. As you say, I loathe the man. If you are right about your conspiracy theory at least this time something good will come of it. The ends much more than justify the means. Sad perhaps, but I'm so deathly tired of the man and the destruction that follows him everywhere. I don't care if he's killed, dies, flees the country into exile, or goes up in smoke as long as he's gone.
  18. Especially on a one way street. Some of the more cunning drivers consider it a great opportunity to save a few seconds of transport time.
  19. Smart enough to know the election was a farce and they've been screwed again. Some people are driven to seek justice and some content to sit and watch, or, worse, even criticize them.
  20. Nice sentiments but you're wrong. It doesn't, hasn't, and won't start from anywhere. The Thai people accept the carnage and loss of family members so why would anyone else care? Keep your eyes and ears open and never, for an instant, think Thai drivers see you or care if they wipe you out.
  21. He will soon adapt and also become 'breathless' so he can keep his snout in the trough without coming up for air. How can one doubt Darwinism?
  22. I read this twice and it still makes no sense. Must be me.
  23. So you've learned the lesson. I went to Phuket once and Pattaya once. They were everything I imagined them to be. I won't be going again.
  24. When I lived in new jersey it was referred to as 'Philthydelphia'. That was in the late 60's and I doubt it's gotten better.
