That’s the problem the inconsistency of the officers you deal with, do some of them not understand what the requirements are ?

My house owner refused to do a TM30, I asked him for documentation so I could do it myself, he gave me the wrong documentation. I asked for the correct ones and he gave me 2 months to leave, I didn’t pay the rent for the last 2 months as that was my deposit, he never questioned that. obvioulsy there was a reason why he didn’t want to do a TM30 even if it meant losing a good tenant of 3 years.

Plenty of companies/agents advertise on the net free quote but they always insist on your phone number then you get inundated with phone calls obviously easier to sell over the phone rather than sending the details by email.

They said it was because I was on medication for heart disease.

I have no problem paying for an initial consultation, a colleague paid ฿3000 at the government hospital in Si Racha for treatment for his g/f cysts which I wouldn’t have a problem paying for. After discussing the subject today my g/f I have known her for 10 years has just said out of the blue why don’t we register we are married at the Amphur Office. Would that make me liable for any medical cost or any debts she incurred ?

It’s not a cost implication, I think she is frightened to go in the event it’s some thing serious., the owner is a Thai lady who lives across the road. My gf Thainess is beyond belief at times re don’t question anyone, or ask for a favour etc.

We live in a house, I am not sure what the implications of adding someone to the HB would be, would the owner be in any way responsible for her. My girl is friendly with the owner, she only has this one rental property. I will try and convince her to speak with the owner.

Yes her friends have the same problem, I have asked her to speak to the owner about adding her and our son to her House Book but she appears reluctant to ask. Unfortunately you are at the discretion of the individual Immigration Officer and there is no real way to dispute with the one you are dealing with individually. Did you speak with an Immigration Officer or one of the ladies on reception ?

You are fortunate you don’t have to deal with Jomtien then, TM30 mandatory.

Mandatory at Jomtien irrespective if you returned to the same address or not, never used to be though.
