Unsure why 90-day online notify rejected
DrJack54 replied to david_je's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You are unfamiliar with 90 day reporting history. In person and via mail virtually bullet proof. Reporting online has been hit and miss for years. Almost weekly reports on this. Failure even moreso at CW which is the OP situation. How have your TM47 reports been working out? -

Have you considered mail option. At CW that needs to be done 15 days prior to due date -
Transfer of Reentry Permit stamp DMK
DrJack54 replied to DrJack54's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I have a multi reentry permit and extension is end of 2024. I'm well aware of traveling with both pp as I stated in OP...... "Yes I'm aware that I can just travel with both pp" I have many trips out of Thailand this year and prefer presenting one pp to airline check in and immigration. Never suggested it was an issue. Clearly you don't know answer to my question -
Transfer of Reentry Permit stamp DMK
DrJack54 replied to DrJack54's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thanks. There is no worries traveling with both pp. I will be stamped in according to my reentry permit. I have done that previously. No issue. If I was flying out of DMK I would just go to reentry permit desk immediately past immigration. However my outbound flight is BKK. -
Recently obtained new passport. Went to CW and had transfer of visa information etc. The issue is the reentry permit has to be transferred where it was issued. Can anyone advise where this would be done at DMK. I have a Saigon to DMK inbound flight soon. Don't think the immigration officer can do it at arrivals. Yes I'm aware that I can just travel with both pp. Extension due Nov. TIA.

Get a tourist visa or visa exemption?
DrJack54 replied to lisaflisa's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Yes. You already obtained tourist visa at PP. Chances are next will be issued issued with a red void stamp. Meaning refused. Do a couple of border bounces and enter visa exempt. Messy yes but will work. That doesn't add up. You entered "couple months ago" What you outline is 30+30+60+30. Five months. -
Holiday schedule for Immigration

Scratch head re that office. All I can come up with is they want farang to use agents. Be aware that at CW they now want TM47 in your paperwork. -

Your immigration office CW? They allow up to 45 days early for extension retirement. Why make it hard -
TR Visa 60days Savannahket
DrJack54 replied to Stevey's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Bit out of context but noticed this in a thread about visa runs. A respected poster (BritTim) posted this last year.... "Important note: Thai Visa Service will no longer accept people on their runs to Savannakhet who have the intention of applying for a tourist visa. The reason is frequent denials." -
Change of Visa type in Thailand?
DrJack54 replied to Topprofile's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
@Topprofile if for some reason immigration gives you issues re financials etc, keep in mind that you can border bounce and reenter visa exempt. Then obtain non O retirement at immigration and subsequent 12 month extension. -
TR Visa 60days Savannahket
DrJack54 replied to Stevey's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
FWIW month or so back a guy reported refused tv at Savannahket and then went to Vientiane no problem . In your shoes I would consider border bounce for Second visa exempt entry via land. -

Blocked From Enter Thailand
DrJack54 replied to glegolo18's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I had to read that 3 times. So nothing serious just battery and jail for 4 months. Strangely my understanding is that overstay with significant ban is more of an obstacle than deportation in regards returning. In his shoes I would obtain a visa. Even then would fly to land border country a use land border entry. -
Anything to avoid dealing with immigration is a good plan. Also avoids obtaining a TM30

Must be flight. From Thai Airport to anywhere. Bus/train won't cut it.

Extension of visa for retirement at CW
DrJack54 replied to oldestswinger's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Required at CW for 2+ years now. Nothing to do with rent. The photocopy of ID card and housebook sufficient. -
Change of Visa type in Thailand?
DrJack54 replied to Topprofile's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Read post from @Liquorice in this thread https://aseannow.com/topic/1321708-non-o-dependant-visa/ -
Stick to the topic of the thread. Flying visa exempt to Thailand the airline most likely will require onward flight within 30 days If you have a visa or reentry permit best to assist check in staff by pointing that out. The staff in turn will not ask to see onward flight. I fly to Saigon every other month. The very first thing airline requires is proof of visa as Oz need a visa to enter Vietnam. For return the airline staff ask for onward flight. I quickly point to my reentry permit. Onward flight not required. When Thai gf goes to Japan (15 days visa exempt for thai) the airline counts out the days from departure to return date.
