  1. You mentioned above TVS. What visa wise are they going to provide?
  2. You attend immigration with both passports. There is no cost. Which immigration office BTW: Doesn't your permission of stay end Dec 17. Talk about leave it till last minute
  3. The Non O-A is sometimes referred to as "retirement visa" and yes that requires insurance. A Non O retirement does not require insurance for the non O application nor for the 12 month extensions. Reading your travel pattern I don't see necessity for visa option. Immigration tend to look at folk that are living in Thailand doing back to back visa exempt entries especially with 30 day extensions and very little time spent out of Thailand. You mention ....."and stay a total of 170-200 days in thailand every year. " Hardly a need for Non O retirement+ extensions.
  4. In your example ..... Agent for non O follow by couple of extensions using agent.... Then for third extension the immigration officer will look at bank record retrospectively back 12 months. I recall one time where the io was even looking at the two months prior to my last extension. You would need to provide the financial requirements in the third year. Few would bother with that and choose to border bounce kill off ongoing extensions and start over doing the process without agent.
  5. To each their own. So happens that today my WISE transfer 120k will land in that "immigration" account using WISE. She will go to ATM (there's one in our condo building) and transfer 100k into her account. She will pay for everything out of her account. The main reason the monthly transfers from Oz go into the "immigration" bank account is that I'm switching to income method. After change to income method there will be virtually zero in the account other that the hour or so every month.
  6. Thanks for report. I was convinced that the pp would be issued in Canada. My recent renewal AU passport took exactly 20 days from posting docs to AU embassy Bangkok to receiving new passport via mail to condo. Good luck
  7. You can have stamps and info transfered without "letter" from embassy. Some embassies stopped that some time ago. AU, USA, UK examples. Which company told you that you need exit via air
  8. Post above @Upnotover is correct. The only time 90 report has anything to do with extension is for first extension from the non O. From then on unrelated. As usual immigration offices vary. It's possible few offices may do the TM47 when obtaining an annual extension as a courtesy.
  9. Have these places gone mad. My favourite bit is the sentence that mentions there will be appointment system just to make the appointment to pay the fee. Of course in USD. For heaven's sake..
  10. Yes it's a chicken/egg problem. So not even a certificate of residence or purchase of insurance?
  11. Did not say they do. Some passports are stamped in another provience. The 12,500 you posted is Maneerat and you attend Jomitien.
  12. He is coming in couple of weeks and current extension ends in June. His change of plans for time in Thailand from his OP..... "I would be in Thailand from the beginning of October until the beginning of April every year.' He can simply let his current extension expire after this upcoming visit
  13. OP, another option is to obtain a METV eVisa each year Would require 2 exits from Thailand of 1 if obtaining extensions. Just a thought. Avoids the onerous money in bank requirement and opportunity cost. Also avoids the annual reentry permit for extensions from a non O retirement OP did you research DTV
  14. Clearly you were more fortunate than others. Many threads such as this https://aseannow.com/topic/1314344-bank-account-for-married-to-thai-wife-to-obtain-visa/ Obviously the account is in your name only. Not joint
  15. So he has Thai bank account? BBL?
  16. Thinking he best advised to obtain non O eVisa when he in home country to have more flexible options for ongoing extensions date.
  17. Your point. My post was to clarify a poster who did not understand initial cost for non O + 12 month extension. Ongoing extensions (yes in Pattaya) min 12,500 (Maneerat) or bit more ~15k some other agents in Pattaya. I'm aware of agent in Bangkok that obtains stamps at CW 17k . You need to attend immigration with agent. Same as at Jomitien.
  18. Several bickering/troll posts removed.
  19. 1. No 2. Not a problem 3. TM30 required at some immigration offices after entry from abroad. I don't obtain one after trips abroad (CW) You could consider "starting over" to change your renewal date. Enter visa exempt and obtain a non O and subsequent 12 month extension. If staying under 6 months and visa exempt remains 60 days .,.some folk would suggest stay in Thailand with 2x 30 day extensions to 2 visa exempt 60 day entries.
  20. How long and when did you do this
  21. Simple question how long was validity of pp issued.
  22. Goes without saying. Joint bank account for double the required funds in vast majority of immigration offices will not be acceptable.
  23. Do you mean "emergency pp" How long is it valid for.
