  1. These threads are boring. In the case of the OP he has be staying with continuous "permission of stay" For any inter province stays and international travel (having a reentry permit) or a multi entry permit he does NOT need to file a TM30. There are a couple of rouge offices that are sticking to the OLD TM30 rule prior to June 2020. CM is one example. The rule is very clear with regards to TM30. As usual in Thailand you need to be aware of games your office play. Covered in first post of this thread from webfact. https://aseannow.com/topic/1169664-thai-immigration-announce-changes-to-tm30-reporting/ Paragraph 2.2 is the relevant rule change.
  2. From the OP... * I'm entering Thailand on a Tourist Visa and would like to convert it to a one-year Retirement non-type O, how can I open a bank account to transfer the 800K?" In my first post I included a link to the process for obtaining a non O from visa exempt or tourist visa entry Many threads about that process. All discuss the requirement to have a Thai bank account in your name only. You post a link about obtaining a non O prior to entering Thailand. That is an option. You can't understand the difference fine.
  3. First up you would ask immigration what they require for certificate of residence. If they can/will provide that then bank may open bank account. You could try PDC Visa Plus offices in KK and Udon Thani Google search will provide.
  4. Entering visa exempt or tourist visa is a catch 22. You need a Thai bank account in your name only to obtain a non O. The bank wants you have a non O to open bank account. As I posted above you may be able to obtain certificate of residence from immigration in your province. Alternatively your embassy can provide equivalent however some embassies do not. USA, UK, AU to name 3. Agents can assist with opening bank account however even this has become difficult in Bangkok.
  5. No... From the OP... "I'm entering Thailand on a Tourist Visa and would like to convert it to a one-year Retirement non-type O"
  6. @bkkboy99 Please change font size and bold . Re apply in Udon or Korat that may be possible. The bank will require certificate of residence or letter from embassy. The later depends on your pp country. Some embassies do not provide that. Disregard any posts re opening bank account few years back. Things have changed. Agents can assist.
  7. You entered with a non O obtained from outside of Thailand. The OP is asking about obtaining a non O in Thailand from tourist visa entry
  8. Which province do you plan to open bank account? https://aseannow.com/topic/1262876-can-you-open-a-bank-account-as-a-tourist/
  9. @Jo77 if possible please post a report after your border bounce.
  10. I notice you typed that you don't like apps so perhaps this not relevant. My gf uses app called "WHOSCALL" Has a little video of how it works.
  11. You are missing the point. If you do it online or via mail and it's rejected then when you attend immigration for you upcoming extension just show immigration officer the application and rejection and (almost 100%) the io will do the report on the spot. Or go make the 90 report in person when the window opens and all done. Mountain out of mole hill.
  12. Show me one that's not from online application. TM47 can be made via mail and in person.
  13. I pointed out that my pp is well worn and renewal early is no big deal. The point is how much is your pp? $400 for 10 years Renew it few weeks early as you plan vs one year early is peanuts. That's factually incorrect. I suggest agents when there is an issue. Always suggest do it yourself with own money as I do for my extensions retirement. Just do the 90 day report 15 days prior to due date. Do it via mail if you have concerns. Thread about nothing really
  14. My pp has two full years till expiry. I'm applying next week for renewal as due to frequent travel it's bit worn. Many passports are valid for 10 years. In the same way folk do their extensions early many would not cut it as fine as you are. Demonstrated by replies in your thread.
  15. You have also received posts along the lines ...,"ignore the tax" It's irrelevant to your thread
  16. I gave you the answer earlier. METV with some border runs. There are other options such as ED visa etc . Buy a PE visa and stay 5 years etc. You know all the options. Why keep asking
  17. https://aseannow.com/topic/1274258-khlong-yai-border-checkpoint/
  18. Forget concerns with the 90 day report. Renew passport asap. Pretty silly to cut it this fine with permission of stay ending soon ish.
  19. There are two different visas. Seems that you are on 12 month extensions from a single entry non O There is a multiple entry non O. That visa has a validity of 12 months and you must exit every 90 days When you reenter you are stamped in for 90 days. Hence if you exit and reenter just prior to expiry of your ME Non O you would be stamped in for another 90 days From your OP it's not clear what you actually have visa or extension wise.
  20. OP, your plan will work. From Pattaya Cambodia best option. Recommend using one of the companies providing minivan run. You should not deal with Poipet. This guy @Pattaya57 recently did a border run to Cambodia with a company he recommended. He can advise
  21. So you believe. OP, one option would be a METV obtained in your own country that provides up to 9 months along with some visa exempt land border entries with extensions
  22. I've done that and out of the blue it's rejected. Rejected again after doing it in person. And yes I use autofill from magnifying glass
