  2. Ouch. Thinking that office does not issue COR. I now see your issue. Agents can open a bank account, however in recent times agents such as Siam Legal that previously provided that service have hit pause button. Agents in Pattaya can assist with bank account. Nonthaburi specific thread here. https://aseannow.com/topic/1289954-nonthaburi-io-residency-certificate/ From above thread here is cut/paste from the OP... "Im at the nonthaburi immigration. They just told me they dont do residency anymore and must go to my embassy. This is for all nationals. She told me this is for 1 year like this already...." @problemfarang how did you obtain your COR
  3. With a non O you may be able to open a bank account without a COR. Try Kasikorn. If the bank insists on a certificate of residence obtain from your immigration office. Which immigration office do you deal with..
  4. USA embassy will not issue address confirmation. Along with AU,UK. You need to obtain certificate of residence from your immigration office. Note that in Bangkok that requires a TM47 receipt. What is your status in Thailand. Meaning non O or eg tourist vise etc
  5. My understanding is that to obtain a tourist visa for Thailand you need to be Japanese citizen or have permanent residence status if applying in Japan
  6. Immigration do not keep passport during the under consideration period. Here.... https://aseannow.com/topic/1317411-30-day-under-consideration-do-they-keep-your-passport/
  7. Updating a bank book is different to showing activity in the account on day of application. Some offices require a small deposit/withdrawal on day of application.
  8. Immigration does not hold your pp during the under consideration period..

  10. Appointment link for anyone attending Vientiane https://thaivisavientiane.com/
  11. Yes. The reentry permit will be dated "till" the date indicated that you return for stamp. Does your immigration office do home visits.
  12. The email does not mention requirement for wife/children to attend for next extension. What did you do previously
  13. You took my post out of context. Stating "far more onerous financials" was in comparison to requirements based on marriage. Chalk and cheese. BTW: I'm well aware of use of agents to avoid financial requirements and how it works.
  14. Have you done 90 day reports with CW. That is required for them to issue certificate of residence. Note some embassies do not provide the equivalent proof of address. USA, AU, UK are examples..
  15. As pointed out above... Even if you were currently in Vientiane you wouldn't bother obtaining SETV, you would enter visa exempt as currently you receive a 60 day stamp.
  16. So clearly you know the procedure. At LakSi the chicks handing out the que # do a doc check. Often sending you away if no TM30. Suggest that you take a photocopy of screenshot of TM30
  17. The "wife's blue book and yellow book" not required. Re bank account... which immigration office? You are entering with non O and you may be able to open a bank account. Suggest you try Kasikorn.
  18. Indeed. OP can book appointment here. https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/onlineservice-and-publicguide/
  19. What is your point. You have an opinion as do I. Time will tell. Opposite to ridiculous. My understanding is that temporary boost during low season. High season sensible time to remove this recent concession IMO if visa exempt 60 days is permanent then all visa options such as SETV, METV, etc would require serious change as basically obsolete.
  20. The unlimited border exempt thinking could be ongoing. No so sure re stamp being 60 days. Perhaps back to 30 days within 6 months.
  21. Mentioned by OP in this May thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1328261-renewing-my-uk-passport-at-vfs-bangkok-end-of-june/
  22. You can bounce Nong Khai same day. Personally since you are located in Bangkok return flight to Udon Thani would be my choice. That would give you 60 days that you could extend by 30. That would cover you till almost end of October. So you may not even require the 30 extension. You mention Vietnam. Hard to beat Saigon for time out of Thailand.
  23. OP, you receive 30 day extension. You could consider a border bounce for 60 day visa exempt entry that can also be extended by 30 days. Depends how long you wish to stay in Thailand. You will attend IT mall LakSi
