A few questions re. the DTV visa
DrJack54 replied to jack343's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
OP, there are current threads on DTV. Read up and ask questions there. Thread closed -
They may accept the flight ticket outside the 60 days with explanation you plan to obtain 30 day extension. It's been reported several times with success. Also sometimes the airline ok if you sign a waiver. You would be aware of rent ticket companies such as "onwardticket.com"..$15usd. There is also option to travel with no onward flight/return flight and if airline insists on flight you can step away from check in and do rent a ticket or buy throw away cheapest flight. Since your return ticket is also Emirates thinking your plan is fine. Edit: afterthought...if you wish/able to stay in Thailand longer don't be hamstrung buy the 60 +30 extension. As a border bounce now provides 60 day visa exempt entry. Easy to skip the return ticket and have trouble free stay 120-150.

Visit by my niece from the US
DrJack54 replied to sirineou's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
She is not applying for extension nor dealing with immigration office. Do nothing Aside: She can obtain eVisa for Vietnam. Very easy. Make sure she uses correct portal. Process time is 5 business days https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/trang-chu-ttdt -
OK, so you reentered visa exempt. You need to make a TM30. You mention marriage. You can obtain a 30 day extension and you can also (in addition) obtain a 60 day extension to visit wife. Prior to attending Jomitien for any extension you would require a TM30. Also be aware that visa exempt entries are now 60 days (currently) and you could think about border bounce from Pattaya. Plenty of threads on that

Report on visit to CW for 90 day report
DrJack54 replied to buick's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
When I went to que desk (far right) I showed lady my appointment confirmation and my filled in form for 90 day report AND my filled in form for COR. She noted both on my que slip. No issue. Note: I have had to do couple of COR and 90 reports this year. One io is delightful and helpful the other is the opposite. -
Report on visit to CW for 90 day report
DrJack54 replied to buick's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Long winded post that does not match my experience. I arrived early and the lady at que desk yes gave plastic que # and marked it with a time. Basically I was given next in line. On another occasion the que lady actually checked via phone if appointment desk was available. I was seen straight away. Both refer to 2024 -
Travelling on one way ticket.
DrJack54 replied to Issanraider's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
For single entry non O retirement the funds do not have to be in bank for 2 months. Flight to KK doesn't help. Needs to be out of Thailand. -
Your experience is proof of nothing. You are correct that this topic has been done to death. People have been refused boarding pass by airline flying visa exempt without an onward flight. Seems dependant on brand of airline, city of departure etc Many reports of this requirement. Including my own experience. Need to show funds and onward flight by immigration on arrival basically never occurs

Travelling on one way ticket.
DrJack54 replied to Issanraider's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Not really. It can be hit and miss. BTW does not need to be a return ticket. Any onward flight would suit. You can book a throwaway flight for approx 2000b You could "rent a ticket" with companies such as "rentaticket.com" Or book a fully refundable flight. Since you already have the funds in Thai bank account then you could obtain the non O retirement (eVisa) in the UK
