  1. OP, you mention Vietnam and Laos. Both those countries do not provide eVisa to Thailand. You apply in person eg Saigon consulate. Your options are limited. Depending on history of stays in Thailand you could enter visa exempt
  2. Exactly. The OP will be attending LakSi and is a tourist. Don't recall a report of TM30 screenshot provided from hotel not being acceptable.
  3. This increase to 60 days may be temporary and if so will change very little for you ongoing. Curb your enthusiasm.

  5. Australian. As was stated,. 30 day visa exempt entry+ 30 day extension 4 times
  6. No Your non O-A has expired long time ago. You are now on continuous extensions from a non O-A. Those extensions can be on the basis of retirement or marriage. For extensions based on marriage no requirement for insurance. If you want a non O based on retirement (no insurance required) you would need break your current ongoing permission of stay and exit Thailand to kill off the non O-A. Reenter and obtain a non O at immigration or at thai consulate/embassy outside of Thailand. Explained now several times.
  7. Edit your post to make readable. You are posting misinformation.
  8. Nonsense BTW how do you do annual extensions or perhaps you don't. Any dealing with bank they require your pp and have you sign ID page.. In many cases the old pp would be expired.
  9. Indeed luck of the draw. Recently I had attended CW for stamp transfer and by luck had my bank book. They wanted photocopies of pages back to current extension application date along with update. Did not require a TM30. Note: for others here is link for form for transfer #22 https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=3202
  10. No. You should take new pp to bank and have new pp # updated. Not so important is things such as TDL etc. Note: for folk attending some immigration offices (CW one eg) to transfer stamps they now require bankbook to check financial compliance if using money in bank method..
  11. Topic currently running in other threads
  12. OP, you can do it yourself with the TM30 from one night stay Agents charge ~4500b that includes the 1900 extension fee to immigration. https://aseannow.com/topic/1281096-visa-agent-in-bangkok-for-processing-30-day-extensions/
  13. Read Caldera post above this one. Folk leaving extensions to last couple of days make potential problems for themselves. Yet again direct any advice to the OP (if you have any)
  14. So why start a thread about something you are very confident about and again "asking for a friend" My point was there is no reason to leave it to last minute.
  15. Thread already running with same post. Thread closed

  17. And why would he want to leave it till last few days prior to expiry. The 30 days is added to expiry of current permit. The count does not start day of application
  18. Without being picky....a non O-A is a multi entry visa valid for one year. You require insurance when you apply for that visa. As you would be aware by exit and reenter Thailand just prior to expiry of the non O-A you will be stamped in for a year. After which your would/can obtain annual extensions. The very first extension would need to be based on retirement and would require insurance. Following extensions can be based on marriage would not require insurance.. If at some point you got divorced you would need to change to based on retirement and again require insurance. The best thing to do if marriage ends is to border bounce (without reentry permit) and start over. Enter visa exempt and obtain a non O based on retirement (no insurance required) Non O-A was previously a ripper visa for many. Insurance requirements took the gloss off
  19. If your extension from a non O-A visa is based on retirement then insurance is required. If you apply for extension from a non O-A based on marriage then insurance is not required. Note: the very first extension from a non O-A would need to be based on retirement. Subsequent extensions can be based on marriage and not require insurance. It's for this reason that unmarried guys exited Thailand to "kill off" the non O-A. The married guys did not need to. They just changed from based on retirement to based on marriage.
  20. Requirements here. What is your current status in Thailand? https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/6.FOR-PROVIDING-SUPPORT-TO-OR-BEING-A-DEPENDANT-OF-A-THAI-CITIZEN-SPOUSE-VISA-NON-O.pdf
  21. You have misunderstood the info in that link. It's not both. It's one or the other
  22. They would not need to exit country only change the reason extension is based on from retirement to marriage. In fact it is the unmarried guys that exit Thailand to kill off the non O-A border bounce enter visa exempt and obtain a non O based on retirement (no insurance)
  23. You do not have a non O . You have record of the non O-A in pp. You can continue to obtain ongoing extensions based on retirement however will require insurance If you changed reason to based on marriage insurance is not required Edit: just re read your two posts. Re using agent to change from non O-A to non O. Don't understand how that was done. Would be interesting to see stamp.
