    Including requiring 2 months of seasoning for non O application from from visa exempt. Which is wrong. Also at various times requiring a TM30 when it is not required. Also requiring folk to report back after obtaining extension to show funds in bank...etc etc.

    Off topic but here is heads up to anyone having stamps and visa info transferred to new pp..... I did this recently at CW. They have added a new requirement. If using money in bank method (retirement) they want photocopies of bankbook pages since last extension and update on the day.

    Be aware that at BKK and DMK they offer a "service fee" 200b and the provide the TM8 form and photo and fill in form. Note it's optional.

    Jomitien went nuts during peak season.. Required TM30 for any dealing with immigration. Then cut that rubbish more recently. Personally have pet detest re Jomitien immigration. Rogue office on many levels

    Absolute nonsense. They are enforcing laws that would apply in your country. The number of farang that arrive in Thailand and jump on motorbike of all sizes and cruise past places such as soi 9 Pattaya or beach road end of Bangla Rd and expect no consequences. They don't even have bike license from home country.

    What you are posting from agent is rubbish. A TM30 is not required. Law changed June 2020. You should be more concerned with how you plan to make your 90 day reports having used an agent. Most likely your stamps were issued up country.

    Your plan is very sensible. You mention"exit permits" If you mean reentry permit be aware you can obtain that at airport on day of departure. CW can be super busy.

    You will not have issue with visa exempt via land border. You could skip the KL to obtain a visa. You are allowed 2 visa exempt entries via land/sea per calendar year. With extensions that's 4 months. BTW: Vientiane requires appointment.

    By exit and reenter just prior to expiry of your visa you will be stamped in for 90 days. You can apply for 60 day extension to visit wife. Yes you can obtain a 12 month extension by meeting the financial requirements.

    The one 60 days later would be land border bounce. You should not have an issue.
