  1. Your ME Non O has expired. You currently have a permit with "admitted until" date. When you exit prior to that date it's done. Just bounce back into Thailand for visa exempt entry 60 days.
  2. As long as the airline follows that. BTW: suggest that people carry cash. Thai baht or equivalent currency if flying visa exempt.
  3. Do not do that. It will end in tears. Continue with your annual extensions. You will not be able to live in Thailand on continuous visa exempt entries..
  4. This is the very point some posters are missing. There is no limit on visa exempt entry via air, however many threads where folk are doing back to back visa exempt (few times) especially with little time out of Thailand. Often questioned and warned or even denied entry. Some folk think that this change to "unlimited land border visa exempt entries" is a Gold Pass. It ain't. Reading the change too literally.
  5. That is a minor concern for the airline and more often than not the passenger denied entry pays for the flight. The airline can receive a substantial fine.
  6. No No...apart from few offices that file 90 report when you do extension.
  7. My Thai partner owns apartments. She actually does the TM30 for the Tennants Currently 2 are rented by farang. She could just provide copy of Thai ID and blue book to Tennant. In any event this thread is completely off topic from OP post. Not clear from start however he eventually stated that he currently entered on visa exempt and wondered why he needed to make (provide) a TM30. Answer: Yes he does.
  8. With a visa they should not have mentioned a return flight and you had a non O visa
  9. Some off topic and pointless posts removed. Also reply to removed post.
  10. With visa exempt now providing 60 days, I would imagine very few will obtain a tourist visa. Depending on how long you want to stay you could skip the 30 day extension and do a border bounce for another 60. The options to cover onward flight issue has been outlined
  11. Strangely it seems to me that low cost airlines are strict with the onward flight requirement for visa exempt. From/To Oz I fly Jetstar and places in the region eg Vietnam AirAsia. Both low cost and both more than often looking in pp for visa or reentry permit.
  12. From another thread cut/paste from @Liquorice "In a private residence, it's the responsibility of the House Master, owner or possessor to file a TM30. The House Master, by definition, means any persons who is the chief possessor of a house , whether in the capacity of owner , tenant , .... He is correct and as a result you as possessor can be held accountable
  13. The topic of responsibility for TM30 has numerous threads. Bottom line is that for dealing with immigration offices for things such as 30 day extension the io will hold the applicant responsible or simply sending you away without the extension. Just one thread here with the usual huff and puff. https://aseannow.com/topic/1320197-tm-30-question/
  14. As has been stated MANY times in various threads.... always check with owner that a TM30 will be provided prior to renting. Note: this is from your post early this year in relation to TM30. "Get copies of everything before you sign a lease. If it's not provided, go elsewhere."
  15. The rules pertaining to TM30 requirements changed in 2020. If you change your address (as per your friend) you are required to file a TM30.
  16. And many have. Myself few weeks ago at Saigon to DMK flight. Often required if flying visa exempt.
  17. You seem to be referring to "home visit" and in some cases requirement for witness. If over 50 you have option of obtaining extension based on retirement. That option has by far more onerous financial requirements.
  18. TM30 only required if the "guest" plans to deal with immigration. The common reason would be to obtain a 30 day extension.
  19. The reason the io "suggested" change to extensions based on retirement is that it's far less work for the immigration officer. This is common knowledge..
  20. You will be fine in the dress code you outlined. Some places little more formal.
  21. Nonsense reply. Pretty much every farang in Thailand married or partner supports wife/partner ongoing
  22. Surely that's a wind up. Married guys can obtain annual extensions with just 400k in bank for 2 months and then use it. They also can obtain extension 60 day to visit wife if they are not using annual extensions. Sweet deal.
  23. Two posts removed re offensive coded language and a comment on moderation
  24. How many folk are reading too much into no limit on land border entries. Visa exempt entries already have no limit via air. That does not guarantee entry.. Think some chill pills in order. Edit: @tarheeldan like your thinking.
