  1. You are very confused. TAT do not set Thai immigration laws. They are basically a lobby group for tourism.
  2. You have a tourist visa. You should not have an issue. Have a clear "storyline" of your intention is to do conversion to non O retirement using TM86 Back up plan would be to have "dummy" onward flight.
  3. You do not understand TM30 current rules. There are 75 immigration offices in Thailand. Yes there are couple of offices that have recognized change of rules. CM being one. So which immigration office do you deal with. No big secret. I deal with CW.
  4. As soon as you read any post that starts with "TAT " ... you need to ignore the rubbish that follows. TAT are not immigration officers.
  5. They can question you at land borders. Asking for proof of funds. Perhaps even ridiculous onward flight. Generally given the 2 visa exempt land border entries per calendar year then you should be fine. Of course there are rogue crossings such as Poi Pet where all bets are off.
  6. Not possible. BritTim is an expert. Good start. BTW there is pinned thread tributes ubonjoe. Think 12 pages. That states volumes. Sadly missed.
  7. Don't follow how that simplifies matters. Do a TM30 change of address. You do not need to wait for next extension.
  8. You will need to do a TM30 for change of address. That can be do by you with couple of basic docs from landlord or he can file a TM30 and provide you with screenshot. Do you have a rental agreement. That would be handy. Personally I would attend your new immigration office as some have their own "variations"
  9. You took the OP word "scrapped" too literally. The reason I posted with a link to that particular thread is that it provides the announcement to the change in laws relating to TM30 that occured ~ June 2020. And has section 2.2 posted. Also link to download if someone wants that. Many folk are not up to speed with that as demonstrated by "do I need to file TM30" questions that pop up almost daily. What has made it even more confusing is some rogue offices (CM being one) have ignored the changes. For the expat community with unbroken permission of stay the basically TM30 is done and dusted unless you change your address. So compared to previous rules one could use the word scrapped. Move on.
  10. 100% correct. Read 2.2 at start of this (old) thread. You have a current permission of stay and protected by reentry permit. You can travel in Thailand and out and not require to file TM30 when you return..
  11. The embassies websites are wrong. There is no such rule. Briefly existed ages ago when Adam was a lad
  12. Don't see the point of your post. I have stated often that CM is rogue on this matter. There obviously will be some others. You typed that you returned with a new visa. Then yes you would need to file a TM30. If you had returned with reentry permit the TM30 would not be required.
  13. Read the post above yours from TallGuyJohn. I have exactly same experience.
  14. You have not read the posts from the guy I quoted. He had been asking about 90 day rule with exit and reentry. Back to back continuous stays
  15. CM is rogue office. They have not applied changes to the law made in 2020. Even for overnight + stays is other provinces.
  16. Not on ONE visa exempt entry but back to back of course. It done all the time Enter Thailand by air visa exempt obtain 30 day extension. Do a border run (or flight out/back) for second visa exempt. Plus extension. That's 120 days there. Do another border run plus extension. Outlined in threads daily. There is NO "90 day rule"
  17. You possibly didn't bother reading it. The thread is concerning changes to TM30 rules. That occured in 2020 Specifically para 2.2
  18. I haven't read one. You cannot even state what you were doing at CW that required you to provide a TM30. Personally my most recent 12 month extension last Nov. Few weeks back 90 day report. A certificate of residence. All at CW none required TM30. Also recent trips to Oz and Saigon and trips in other provinces in Thailand. No TM30 required. You are posting misinformation
  19. Here is a few examples I posted earlier. "Demanding for what? Annual extensions? 90 day reports? 30 day extension? Be specific." So what service did you attend CW immigration that required a TM30. Simple question.
  20. Again provide details. What (service) were you doing at CW that required you to provide a TM30. People don't go to CW for the food court.
  21. That should have been answered by the io with "get appropriate visa" In your case parent of Thai child. Visa exempt entries every month would now be problematic especially when you had option for a suitable visa
  22. Post one. Also put context to your posts. "..CW demanding for TM30s again" Demanding for what? Annual extensions? 90 day reports? 30 day extension? Be specific.
  23. Google "non O extensions Thailand" Select "mfa.go.ta" All the various non O visas are listed. For "marriage" and "retirement" think they are #18 and 20. The term marriage is lot referred to. Retirement is. Check it out. Regards your non O-A post and link earlier. ....in the context of this thread the OP would not be applying for a non O-A. Off topic.
