Marriage visa for only three months
DrJack54 replied to jingjai9's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Indeed looks like this. Folk should not be concerned if the return back date is past the expiry of current permit. Edit: In attached pic ...disregard last line "Thai Entry Permit......" -
non o visa at savannakhet loas
DrJack54 replied to dirtybirty's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Just to be clear. Are you obtaining a Multi entry non O marriage visa valid for 12months OR A non O marriage single entry visa? There is thread for ME non O Marriage posted earlier. Here is excellent report for non O marriage. https://aseannow.com/topic/1263040-non-o-visa-run-to-savannakhet-june-2022/ Edit: this thread is also multi entry 12 month visa. -
Marriage visa for only three months

Indeed they do and has been posted several times for various offices. Most recent here. https://aseannow.com/topic/1298009-money-in-bank-for-extension-based-on-marriage-minimum-must-be-kept-there-whilst-under-consideration/?do=findComment&comment=18146776 -
Marriage visa for only three months
DrJack54 replied to jingjai9's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You will be applying for 12 month extension of stay based on marriage (it's not a visa). You be given a return date for report back to immigration. Can be a month later. Referred to as "under consideration period" Do not interprete that as anything other than final tick off. If using money in bank method you should maintain funds in the bank during this period. -
Issues with reporting 90 days online..
DrJack54 replied to AlexRRR's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
That's correct. After the initial one the data is kept. After the passport entry and (maybe) surname click on the magnifying glass and bingo all filled in.. Even that can have a glitch. I was having no problems up until recently. My report rejected ...."no room number" Sort of strange given that the address was stored and autofill. -

When you mention agent along with 15 months... Did the agent cover the financial requirements? Also where was the non O and extension stamps issued. You are using this link right https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/register/add -
Marriage visa for only three months
DrJack54 replied to jingjai9's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
OP, both you and your friend applied for a non O based on marriage. That visa provides a 90 day stamp however it has an "under consideration period" where paperwork is checked by divisional headquarters and also home visit. You are given a return date and that is to give you stamp that has expiry date 90 days from your application date. But wait there is more.... In the last 30 days of that stamp with 400k having been in bank for 2 months you apply for 12 month extension. -
Is it OK to overstay by 2 days?
DrJack54 replied to organicman's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You are correct. Sorry. Read through thread. The OP has not contributed at all since starting thread. Yet has time to post in chat threads such as "no grab delivery" etc. I hate these threads. Of course your post is correct. If OP has not already applied for extension it will be granted Either way will cost him 1900b for application. Perhaps a mod will put this thread to an end. -
Is it OK to overstay by 2 days?
DrJack54 replied to organicman's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Think you misunderstood the situation. The OP required extra couple of days. Seems has used extension already. In that situation he can apply for extension knowing full well that's not an option and will be denied He would be then given a 7 day "get out of dodge stamp" It's not a 7 day extension -
This exact question has been asked previously several times times ending with vague outcomes. Thinking this is one where you need to consult with your immigration office. That can be more difficult for some. I'm in exactly same boat as OP. For years annual extensions based on retirement leaving 800k all year round. At some point I would like to move to income method. Reason is simple. To avoid having funds in Thai bank that my partner (not married) cannot access easily even with Will. I always posted that to "change" maintain the funds in bank up till date of next extension. Start 65k transfers 2 months prior to application. I'm Oz so cannot provide embassy letter. In those previous threads ubonjoe advised that I would need to show 12 months of transfers. And that guy would be right. However still thinking advice from the immigration office you deal with gives clear answer.

3rd visa exempt entry
DrJack54 replied to thaiasia's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It's jour pattern of staying in Thailand that's the issue especially thinking you can do that with back to back visa exempt entries. Even if doing that by air your plan is one night stay in KL and back next day.. Not anyone's business why folk want the least time possible out of Thailand prior to reentry. Two possibilities would be working or the love thing. Suggest for next period of stay in Thailand have a clear plan and know what period of stay you are after. That can mean combination of METV,SETV, Visa exempt entries along with extensions. The main thing you could also consider is time spent outside of Thailand. Many many wonderful places to visit. -
The extension 60 days would start from expiry of current permit. Not from day of application.

It's an error. Ignore it. No point in having it fixed.

3rd visa exempt entry
DrJack54 replied to thaiasia's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
This has been discussed earlier. Also 3 visa exempts plus extensions does not match up with your stated time spent in Thailand. One land entry last year plus two this year visa exempt. Plus one via air prior to that to enter Thailand? Seems like 4 already. That would match with your stated dates. Now planning another. In the second part of another post you indicate that you have only spent "hours out of Thailand in past 8 months. IMO very little chance of entering Thailand via air visa exempt. Especially with your planned ONE night stay out of Thailand. Surely this thread is not serious. -
3rd visa exempt entry
DrJack54 replied to thaiasia's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The OP has already done 4 visa exempt entries back to back. If he tries for a tourist visa imo would be issued void. Also don't think he will have success with 5th visa exempt via air. He even plans only couple of days out of Thailand. He messed up with last land border bounce. -
3rd visa exempt entry
DrJack54 replied to thaiasia's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Why would there be an issue. You are spending a month out of Thailand after short visits. VERY different situation to the OP.. -
As pointed out..... One thing you require is a certificate of residence OR letter from your embassy. In your previous post you mention paying 500b to immigration for "white slip" That is the certificate of residence. All good at CM as they accepted your TM30 to apply for COR The thing is that won't work in Bangkok. Also some countries embassies do not provide "address letter" AU and USA being just 2 examples. Hence some folk need to use agents. Usual cost approx 5k

No. That is just contact information page. The e-Visa application would not require that Here is a cut and paste from general question French pp questions...... 1 I've asked the question to an employee at the French Embassy in Bangkok working on issuing new passports does accept: she couldn't think of any use of the address indicated on a French passport. So it's unlikely that the address indicated on a French passport has any major role, if any
