  1. Indeed luck of the draw. Recently I had attended CW for stamp transfer and by luck had my bank book. They wanted photocopies of pages back to current extension application date along with update. Did not require a TM30. Note: for others here is link for form for transfer #22 https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=3202
  2. No. You should take new pp to bank and have new pp # updated. Not so important is things such as TDL etc. Note: for folk attending some immigration offices (CW one eg) to transfer stamps they now require bankbook to check financial compliance if using money in bank method..
  3. Topic currently running in other threads
  4. OP, you can do it yourself with the TM30 from one night stay Agents charge ~4500b that includes the 1900 extension fee to immigration. https://aseannow.com/topic/1281096-visa-agent-in-bangkok-for-processing-30-day-extensions/
  5. Read Caldera post above this one. Folk leaving extensions to last couple of days make potential problems for themselves. Yet again direct any advice to the OP (if you have any)
  6. So why start a thread about something you are very confident about and again "asking for a friend" My point was there is no reason to leave it to last minute.
  7. Thread already running with same post. Thread closed
  8. https://aseannow.com/topic/1328520-5-year-multiple-entry-dtv-visa-destination-thailand-from-2024-xx-xx/
  9. And why would he want to leave it till last few days prior to expiry. The 30 days is added to expiry of current permit. The count does not start day of application
  10. Without being picky....a non O-A is a multi entry visa valid for one year. You require insurance when you apply for that visa. As you would be aware by exit and reenter Thailand just prior to expiry of the non O-A you will be stamped in for a year. After which your would/can obtain annual extensions. The very first extension would need to be based on retirement and would require insurance. Following extensions can be based on marriage would not require insurance.. If at some point you got divorced you would need to change to based on retirement and again require insurance. The best thing to do if marriage ends is to border bounce (without reentry permit) and start over. Enter visa exempt and obtain a non O based on retirement (no insurance required) Non O-A was previously a ripper visa for many. Insurance requirements took the gloss off
  11. If your extension from a non O-A visa is based on retirement then insurance is required. If you apply for extension from a non O-A based on marriage then insurance is not required. Note: the very first extension from a non O-A would need to be based on retirement. Subsequent extensions can be based on marriage and not require insurance. It's for this reason that unmarried guys exited Thailand to "kill off" the non O-A. The married guys did not need to. They just changed from based on retirement to based on marriage.
  12. Requirements here. What is your current status in Thailand? https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/6.FOR-PROVIDING-SUPPORT-TO-OR-BEING-A-DEPENDANT-OF-A-THAI-CITIZEN-SPOUSE-VISA-NON-O.pdf
  13. You have misunderstood the info in that link. It's not both. It's one or the other
  14. They would not need to exit country only change the reason extension is based on from retirement to marriage. In fact it is the unmarried guys that exit Thailand to kill off the non O-A border bounce enter visa exempt and obtain a non O based on retirement (no insurance)
  15. You do not have a non O . You have record of the non O-A in pp. You can continue to obtain ongoing extensions based on retirement however will require insurance If you changed reason to based on marriage insurance is not required Edit: just re read your two posts. Re using agent to change from non O-A to non O. Don't understand how that was done. Would be interesting to see stamp.
  16. I do not have recent experience however immigration should receive screenshot of your TM30. BTW since you entered visa exempt you do not attend CW for 30 day extension. You will go to IT mall LakSi. (not far from CW)
  17. Think you stated live near bang Chak. Read report that transport/land office will accept blue book etc there. You could check it out. Ask Fatboys or BSR bikes agents for better information. Chatuchak is a no go. You require COR
  18. CW list 2 weeks as guideline process time. They also mail out the COR I also live in Bangkok. For first 7 years due to frequent travel out of Thailand I could not do a TM47. I could not obtain certificate of residence. I tried agents reply "no can do" Not sure of your friends story.
  19. Seems to be currently guess work. @Tod Daniels do you have any current advice on required funds along with seasoning for Savannakhet. I'm thinking just 400k in bank sufficient. Here is a cut paste of a thread I will attach... "I've been to Savannakhet a couple times this year. Things change depending on who's sitting behind the window and how they feel that day. To more or less guarantee a Non-O Multiple based on Marriage have the money seasoned for 2 months .... in a Thai bank account. If less, you might be stuck with a Single entry". https://aseannow.com/topic/1328915-multiple-entry-marriage-visa/
  20. Think you will find the multi non O marriage now requires 400k in bank account. https://aseannow.com/topic/1310170-savannakhet-now-require-bank-statement-400k-for-1-year-multi-visa-non-o-marriage-or-thai-family/
  21. Think you will find that you obtain your certificate of residence at CW. You will need most recent TM47 Advise in this thread along with link to application form
  22. The added bonus (prob mentioned already) for those with a non O prior to entering Thailand that would assist greatly with opening a Thai bank account for those that don't have one. How long did the process take in USA. @Pattaya57 did the same recently non O retirement obtained in Oz. Think it only took few days.
  23. The OP is asking about change from based on retirement to based on marriage. This thread below covers your situation and yes it's possible. https://aseannow.com/topic/1304886-non-b-to-non-o-retirement/
  24. That is different. My post was pointing out that if a non O is obtained based on eg retirement then for the First extension immigration may/will insist on the extension to be based on retirement. Subsequent extensions can be based on marriage.
