  1. To each their own. I allowed my TDL to expire as my birthday was few days after expiry of the license. As a result was given almost 6 years
  2. OP you can enter visa exempt or with setv. You can then obtain a non O based on retirement at immigration. Requires 15+ days remaining on entry stamp. Use TM86 for tourist visa entry or TM87 for visa exempt e try. You require 800k on day of application. That gives you 90 day stamp. In last 30 days obtain 12 month extension. As you already have Bank account etc visa exempt entry will be fine . This thread outlines procedure. https://aseannow.com/topic/1311886-visa-exempt-to-retirement-extension-process-and-cost/
  3. Email? Go to bank and request 12 month statement. Immigration will not accept statement without bank stamp . Your posts misleading.
  4. There are threads running on this topic. Perhaps @Mike Lister can redirect
  5. What bank statement provides those details.
  6. Good post. That's correct. Not really sure what the OP is pointing out.
  7. Visas are not extended. Your permission of stay is extended.
  8. When you obtain an extension it is "temporary permission of stay". Sometimes referred to as "permit"
  9. Answer from @Georgealbert explains why Bangkok Bank comes up often in threads re extensions. Be aware that funds must have been in Bank for 2 months at time of application and you must have 15+ days remaining on your permit stamp. (21 CM) Edit: The last sentence does not apply to extensions. It's referring to non O applications.
  10. Thanks for clear report. Regards bank statements....you used FD account. May have been different if you were using savings account.
  11. This is border bounce via land to Cambodia. https://aseannow.com/topic/1319224-vip-border-run-vans-in-bkk/ Also via air to Udon Thani. https://aseannow.com/topic/1319148-tm30-questions-border-bounce/ If you are visa exempt for Vietnam I would suggest weekend in Saigon as nice option
  12. Where are you located. Note: do not post with oversized font
  13. You stated earlier.... "But CNX Immigration charges 1900 baht for the second one and only 1 week." There is only one 30 day extension for tourist visa entry. The second application resulting in 7 days is not an extension, rather 7 days to get out of dodge. The reason immigration processed your application is that folk that require few extra days (less than 7) can apply knowing full well the application will be rejected and as a consequence be given 7 days to exit Thailand.
  14. OP, as others have pointed out obtain a TM30 from the place you are staying at time of application. You will apply at CW (not Laski IT) as you entered with a tourist visa. Apply for extension couple of weeks prior to expiry of current stamp. Obviously prior to check in at accommodation confirm that they will do a TM30 and provide you with copy..
  15. Indeed. That's ~1100 baht per year Hardly sheep stations. So many threads on AseanNow of folk leaving it to last few months. Be aware embassy recommends to allow 6 weeks for processing so needs to be applied for when pp not required. The Thai gf recently obtained new pp. Process time: overnight
  16. You can transfer stamps when it suits you. eg same visit for your next extension. In meantime just travel with both passports. I currently have application in for my renewal Oz pp. My current pp expires 2026. Do it now.
  17. It's an issue. I just tried for extension retirement at CW only had 4 days. Think they only accept appointments up to one month early.
  18. One would hope so however seems CM is an office that has refused to acknowledge the change of rules re TM30
  19. OP, it would be helpful to update your thread as it's not clear. @oldcpu and @Red Phoenix posts above gives very clear details of all options. Specifically do you have a non O-A visa. Have you been doing extensions based on retirement. Are you married to Thai national.
