  1. You mean Permanent Resident status. TM30 not required.
  2. Good suggestion and my money is on he can Obtain extension based on marriage.
  3. In the big picture I don't think it's large% of foreigners here in Thailand. Personally I don't get into the "get correct visa" Slaging. For example with Oz pp I have 90 day visa exempt to Japan yet I need to Obtain 30 day tourist to get into Vietnam. I just accept the rules. If there's a way to bend em then fine.
  4. The thing is the OP has tickets to Thailand on April 7 and not clear if required docs in place to make Non O marriage e-Visa application. Obviously obtaining the Non O prior to entering Thailand was the best option. As it stands he want to 1. Lob in Bangkok for few days and open bank account and also buy a car. Answer No and No. 2. Go to Samui a d obtain a Non O marriage. Answer No. 3. Obtain an agent Non O retirement. Answer No (he is 44). As you pointed out he can obtain 60 day extension to visit wife. Perhaps exit Thailand at some point and obtain the Non O.
  5. That's correct. Also for those without a Thai bank account then if you obtain the Non O prior to entering Thailand you will be able to open a Thai bank account. That of course in necessary to obtain 12 month extension.
  6. To obtain a Non O marriage you require a Thai bank account in your name only. Thinking that's your first step.
  7. If you are doing "bank to bank" Transfers then they will show as international in your Thai bank account. Many guys in Thailand use companies such as WISE and sometimes transfers are not show as international,
  8. That's the multi entry Non O visa valid for 12 months. That is no longer available. Outlined by Tod Daniels post here. https://aseannow.com/topic/1352010-simple-question-for-this-idiot-about-non-o-marriage-multi-entry/#findComment-19593852
  9. @Tod Daniels knows about border bounce to various Laos crossings. He may have recent report info.
  10. Because the OP did not maintain the financial requirements. Financials are checked retrospectively. Needs to start over.
  11. The saying along lines...."A fool and their money easily separated"
  12. Siam Legal assisted with opening bank accounts. Not sure if currently offering that service. Slightly off topic however if the OP is 50+ he could consider agent Non O retirement+ extension. Could be temporary option as seems current plan not practical. Start over with Non O marriage in the future. Edit: indeed just checked with Siam Legal site here: https://www.siam-legal.com/other-services/opening-a-bank-account-in-thailand.php They are currently not assisting with UK USA AU Canada etc pp holders. And suggest Pattaya agents for bank account. Back to the OP ... can't see his time frame and current plans workable.
  13. As stated throughout thread. You (most likely ) will not be able to open a bank account on a visa exempt. Suggest that you use agent in Bangkok and that could be organized in advance. Could start with ThaiVisaCentre. Is the plan to put car in wife's name as COR would be required and that takes time. Almost no point in trying to obtain Non O in Samui it would seem. Be aware that if you obtain the Non O in Thailand you also have to obtain the first 12 month extension at that office. Don't forget the option of obtaining a 60 day extension "to visit wife". Buys you time.
  14. That won't be an issue. However having correct codes doesn't necessarily occur just because the funds came from abroad. For example WISE transfers may land in partner bank eg BBL or Kasikorn and in turn be transferred into your bank. That code will not be shown as international transfers. Ask the bank about obtaining "Credit Advice" if any transactions are not shown as international.
  15. No. Since you have the Non O your only concern is extensions and using money in bank method the funds do not need to be shown came from abroad. BTW: Even if you were applying for the Non O in Thailand it's only Non O retirement that would require proof funds from abroad.
  16. Seems your plan is to stop the conditions of the visa. Not best Annology however consider extension based on marriage then divorce occurs. What's your guess of status of permission of stay.
  17. Have not seen report of that being enforced. If it is then step away and book rent a ticket here "onward ticket.com" $16usd.
  18. I stated that if issued a ticket in afternoon you will be seen. Currently appointments for 12 months extensions are practically unavailable. No slots available and can only book month in advance.. In fact currently nothing available march through April.
  19. Both options provide a 60 day stamp. Obtaining an e-Visa (tourist) may take days and for what advantage. Do the border bounce. Location in Thailand?
  20. No and you can't go to embassy there and "speed things up" . e-Visa is an online platform. You have other issues. You married in Romania and for extensions etc in Thailand you require various docs to verify the marriage. That is another topic in itself. So you cannot have funds in bank till june-july. The Non O e-Visa has financial requirements. Have you looked into that. Also the Non O marriage along with 12 month extension also has financial requirements. Understatement.
  21. The thread is about border runs What are you referring to in outbound flight requirement .
  22. No stated limit to border runs however immigration can start to make it difficult as illustrated in post above requiring various requirements.
  23. Read your own thread title. You ask about obtaining a 60 day VISA from Thai Embassy. That equates to tourist visa. What you actually are asking about is border bounce for 60 day visa exempt stamp. And now you refer to 60 day extension. You are not obtaining an extension. You are obtaining a 60 day visa exempt entry.
  24. The OP is after obtaining a Non O from visa exempt entry Not a 30 day extension.
