  1. Someone might be along to offer different advice. You mentioned "agent" If you opt to use agent they can sidestep the financial requirements. Which immigration office
  2. Correct: ta. Will alter my typo. Adding 89 days to Saturday August 10, 2024 Thursday November 07, 2024
  3. Non O-A often referred to as "retirement visa" is applied for based on retirement. For the first extension of stay the extension would need to be applied for based on retirement. Along with the required insurance. The date of expiry of extension will match expiry of insurance policy. Subsequent extensions can be obtained based on marriage and extensions based on marriage do not require insurance.
  4. Some posts with pictures and off topic along with mentioning posters directly have been removed. Comment on topic.
  5. Might be more convenient however certainly more (much) expensive than extensions via agent in Pattaya. Many folks eg live in Bangkok and use a Pattaya agent for extensions.
  6. Seems you are wishing to spend 6 months (two 3 month stints) in Thailand. Thinking you don't need a DTV.
  7. Up to you. Why start thread for advice. If you obtain que ticket prior to lunch that gives you an hour in basement to obtain bank letter and bank statement as mentioned in post above. While that poster did not make small deposit by doing so it updates bankbook and shows activity. They do that first then do the bank letter. To obtain your que ticket you will need to show filled in TM7. Also note that in recent times CW is requiring most recent TM47..
  8. 2. Up to 45 days early. 3. Bank letter day prior is fine. Note update and also make small deposit on day of application. At CW most banks on lower level. Notable exception is SCB. 4. You can make an appointment for extension which is good idea. You can turn up prior to lunch break and will be given ticket and you will be seen that day. Link for appointment. https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/onlineservice-and-publicguide/
  9. Exactly my situation for my first 7 years in Thailand. Living here with ongoing extensions retirement with multi reentry permit and was never in country for more than 60 days. No TM47 until covid hit 2020.
  10. 90 days from reentry which is day 1. Your due date is now November 7, 2024 Ignore any reminder email
  11. It was required as the io wanted it. She was young and I asked to see the head IO. She sits at rear of L32 desk. She insisted on requirement of monthly activity. I pointed out why was this not required in my previous 10 extensions. She let it pass however made me write ridiculous statement that I will in future provide 12 month bank statement. A few months back I went to have stamps transfered to my new pp. I was surprised that she wanted photocopies of my bank book pages and a deposit (activity). The head IO again dealt with me as I pointed out that this was never a requirement in past years. I also took opportunity to ask again about 12 month bank statement. She reiterated that "yes need"
  12. You don't deal with another immigration office just because you are away. You could have done a 90 report via mail from anywhere in Thailand. Moving forward you can do your extensions using your Pattaya agent. Most likely you will need to attend office with agent. Not ideal. You stated .... "'I'm dressed nicely and smile with a polite tone and the female IO wasn't about to help me at all. All she would say to me is "do online or go do in Jomtien office". These people need to be fired or just not deal with customers" Perhaps they would argue that "customers" should make themselves aware of the rules.
  13. A joint bank account won't work for her to piggyback his extension based on retirement. He would need to continue with 800/400/800k for extensions based on retirement. They could continue with both on extensions based on retirement. Easy option but ties up lot of dosh Chat with your immigration office In this attached read posts from ubonjoe.... https://aseannow.com/topic/1245491-dependant-spouse-with-extension-to-stay-based-on-retirement/
  14. Which was vague to say the least. If using income method then immigration would require 12 months of bank statements showing 40k + transfer each month. If using money in bank method then 2 months of bankbook balances most likely sufficient. At the most 3 month bank statement. Along with bank letter. That confirms owner of account and balance. Again I point out an extension based on retirement would not have been suggested as an option as the "friend" is not 50+
  15. No. The OP asked specifically regarding non O marriage. An agent will not assist with this in regards to financials. My reference to agent was purely to assist with bank account. That will allow him to apply for non O based on marriage from visa exempt or tourist visa entry. He will require 400k in Thai bank account in his name only on day of application. After under consideration period for extension he can use the funds as required. INCOME method for extension not possible regardless if non O obtained in Oz or in Thailand
  16. The OP is Oz. Along with UK and USA embassies do not issue address "letters" In any event all off topic. Your chit chat does not assist the OP. Further posts regarded as off topic. The OP has been advised to obtain non O in Australia as will assist with bank account. Other option is agent.
  17. OP, you posted same question in another thread which was answered. And again here. Thread closed.
  18. Which province which bank. What docs were required.. There are numerous threads on current process to open bank accounts. Your numerous friends certainly did not open a Thai bank account in Bangkok on visa exempt or tourist visa.
  19. Assume you are referring to CW building B. Appointments for 90 reporting are available. They run on time. In/out in very short time. Yes there is travel time. You could consider reporting via Mail. Simple process. At CW do mail 15 days prior to due date Shop around agents do TM47 for max 500.
  20. No. She can piggyback on his retirement extensions as dependent. However she will need to exit Thailand and obtain a non O. Which immigration office?
