Agent recomendation?
DrJack54 replied to HermosaBeachGuy's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Think you missed my point. There are other considerations than just the annual 12 month extensions. The OP lives in Bangkok and if uses an agent in Pattaya the stamps will be from another province. This can cause some issues with things such as stamp transfers to new pp, certificate of residence for things such as TDL, 90 day reports etc etc. Perhaps you live in Pattaya. Where are your stamps issued. If Pattaya then you don't have these issues.. -

You went off topic re extraneous post about you doing well on Europe quiz. Previously I pointed to clear evidence the OP was UK. Guess what he is. And my posts in the thread have given positive advice. On other hand you have not. -

Quick Questions regarding Visa on Entry
DrJack54 replied to dantho's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
@Pattaya57 So OP you will receive 60 days and that can be extended buy 30 days ONCE. You can do a border bounce for another visa exempt entry which will give you another 60 + 30 day extension if you need. Depends on how long you wish to stay -
Agent recomendation?
DrJack54 replied to HermosaBeachGuy's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
There are other ramifications. Some (most) agents in Pattaya send pp up country for stamps. That can cause issue for eg 90 reports. Yes sure agent can do that. Becomes more problematic with things such as pp renewal... certificate of residence, TDL renewal etc etc -

The OP is not in Pattaya and did not indicate intention to use Pattaya agent. What eg Maneerat can do in Pattaya cannot be done in Bangkok -
DTV after non-O marriage visa.
DrJack54 replied to Bobajob's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You have a visa to enter Thailand. Don't understand your concerns. BTW : If you start a thread with your personal experience of obtaining the DTV in UK that would be very helpful. -

OP post from thread quiz with topic British Comedies... "I just completed this quiz. My Score 80/100 My Time 144 seconds " My guess UK. Very frustrating when basic info not posted in the OP. Also when folk start a thread and simultaneously exit. -

It's not visa on arrival. It's "Visa Exempt Entry" Currently 60 days and can be extended by 30 days. Some folk use this company for onward ticket..."onwardticket.com" Clarify passport country. From some of your other posts. UK? -
Is this plan of action ok.
DrJack54 replied to Issanraider's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thinking I endorsed your plan in OP. Which is certainly an option. Perhaps consider obtain a non O eVisa in UK . The financials can be in UK bank. Then enter and be given 90 day stamp. -

Think I have already posted.. No seasoning for non O application. Funds in bank on day of application. The two months seasoning is for 12 months extension Note: apart from rogue office Jomitien where there can require 2 month seasoning for non O application. Ridiculous. -

DrJack54 replied to Issanraider's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You are confusing the process. You plan to enter visa exempt. When you apply for the non O your 800k need to be in bank on day of application. The non O stamp gives a 90 day permission of stay. In the last 30 days of that stamp expiry you apply for 12 month extension. With funds having been in bank for 2 months+
