  1. Not every country provides visa exempt entry. UK 45 days visa exempt to Vietnam. Me (Oz) needs to apply for SETV to Vietnam every time I go there.
  2. Yes. Point is that even if back to 30 you can obtain extension and do border runs.. The limit of 2 per calendar year has been removed. However recommended to use agent minivan run
  3. OP, suggest you use border run company from Bangkok to Cambodia. Here is one company. https://friendlythaivisa.com/
  4. A visa exempt entry via land sea or air provides (currently) 60 day stamp. Even if that changes back to 30 day stamp then each entry can be extended by 30 days. Obviously I'm referring to the 93 countries that can enter visa exempt as distinct from Visa on Arrival.
  5. Thread amazes me. First up worry about change from visa exempt to 30 days when it happens. Even then a visa exempt entry via air + extension+ one border bounce+ extension= 4 months. All posts re SETV financial requirements....who is currently obtaining a tourist visa. In any event the financials etc for tourist visa is not a concern .
  6. OP, where are you located. Ask to consider border bounce options.
  7. This is like extracting teeth. Seems you obtained a Non O + extension via agent (Maneerat) Pattaya. They can obtain you another extension however it will be valid only to expiry of pp. You should have obtained a new pp in previous 12 months. Agents can obtain extension months prior to expiry. You can go anytime from now
  8. If indeed you have a Non O-A and was obtained a year ago then a simple exit and reenter Thailand would grant you another 12 months or till expiry of pp It would require insurance. Again... It's just guess work trying to advise you. You would know if it was Nin O-A as you would obtain it in pp country and go through all the hoops.,.. Medical, police clearance etc
  9. None of what you are posting makes sense. Post exactly what visa you originally obtained and it's initial permission of stay. Doubt you had a Non O-A. Nothing clear
  10. Your OP is not clear. Nor is post above ^
  11. You would need to apply for a 12 month extension. Has financial requirements.
  12. That's correct. @Wongkitlo recently obtained a Non O e-Visa at Vientiane. What's was amazing is the eVisa was approved almost overnight.
  13. It's not a new visa. It's an extension of stay. The expiry of which will be 12 months or when your passport expires. You have plenty of time for pp renewal. Do it.
  14. Thanks for update. So the "fee" is for same day bounce? Cost?
  15. Guessing that would be an option. In your shoes I would be using an agent in Pattaya to do the process. Just a thought. MANY threads such as this one https://aseannow.com/topic/1325964-renewal-of-us-passport-from-pattaya/
  16. I checked appointment slots few days ago and just now. Same 3 slots were available and currently still are. Strangely only time on each day was 1pm.
  17. Yes. From AI..... "Yes, for U.S. passport renewal via the DS-82 form for U.S. citizens residing in Thailand, a post office box address is acceptable for the mailing address" Also it's possible to have a PO Box. Vaguely recall 500b/year. Out of interest how do you plan to travel without current pp. The existing pp is part of the application
  18. Sorry but that makes no sense. You can apply for single entry Non O from visa exempt entry or tourist visa entry. You can apply for 12 months extension. Multi Entry Non O is no longer available. You can obtain multi reentry permit which is completely different. As far as attend CW without appointment yes you just do a walk in. My preference is to arrive prior to lunch break to obtain que # then attend to docs during lunch break. Works well
  19. Not a big deal to provide proof of 20k, however imo does not make lot of sense. For example SETV 30 day and Multi 90 day to Vietnam (one example) has no such requirements. Time will tell. Also all the talk regarding visa exempt entry return to 30 days is problematic.
  20. Hope this isn't rude. You live in Pattaya. Fortunately Pattaya has very helpful and cheap agents. Suggest you take pressure off yourself and consider that option. Can be on two levels. Maintain the financial requirements which involves hand holding or next level they do the works. Plenty of good agents in Pattaya
  21. As stated. Depends on immigration office.
  22. I'm interested. How did that actually work. You would have had a queue ticket #. Then you noticed that despite you being next in line the two wheelchair guys where seen prior to you?
  23. That is not the issue. The issue is not to prove international transfers rather that some offices seem interested in eg "pensions" as source of funds
  24. Don't think that would be an issue. Granted about a year back I purchased a condo from UK guy. He was paid in cash (baht) . I suggested he use DEE Money. Later that day he requested proof of sale of condo (required by Dee Money) which I then provided. Bottom line extensions using money in bank method do not require proof funds came from abroad.
