  1. Why did you even apply for SETV eVisa. That gives you 60 day stamp. Currently visa exempt entry to Thailand gives 60 day stamp. Can be extended by 30 days Since you have already applied for the eVisa then you could try the bank balance. I was under impression that applying for visa for Thailand while in Japan had requirements. If you decide on visa exempt entry to Thailand then check out onward flight requirement for airline at departure. How long do you wish to stay in Thailand?
  2. You again are not understanding the rent a ticket. When you fill in the form online you nominate the date of travel. That for example can be in 50 days after arrival. The record of the ticket itself for airlines to check is only valid for couple of days. Longer if you opt to pay more. Do you have any more genuine questions as your options have been explained several times
  3. Applying for an eVisa does not require money in a Thai bank. It can for example be in a bank of passport country. For those that opt to obtain the Non O visa inside of Thailand then the funds need to be in a Thai bank account in your name only. That can be an issue for those without a Thai bank account. In that situation those folk sometimes use agent to assist with bank account.
  4. He does not require a Non O. With any visa including a SETV etc an onward flight would not be required by airline. Did you read the thread In all probability the airline may not ask for onward flight. If they do he can obtain on the spot either rent a ticket or real throw away ticket.. BTW: does not need to be return flight.
  5. OP, this was asked few days back I post link in that thread to post from Tod Daniels. Has clear advice
  6. What are you asking about. There is no longer in person application for Non O in Laos. It's all eVisa since start of 2025
  7. I'm still in shock that I received overnight approval for my online 90 report this week (CW) The reason for success is that from my last in person report, I have not exited Thailand. However what's the point. Most likely will exit Thailand prior to next report and then when reenter what....do a report in person. No Way. As long as in person report is required after travel abroad then the system is a dud.
  8. You are 100% correct. The online TM6 is nothing more than smoke and mirrors. They have realized the ETA is bit more difficult than they envisaged. Perhaps waiting for the IT team that created online reporting to iron out the bumps.
  9. They already will have that when you are stamped in. You mention "visa length" The ETA is for visa exempt entry.. Nothing to do with ETA. Again nothing to do with ETA.
  10. Here is just one post from @Tod Daniels in another thread. There are many re Poi Pet. "I would say you're dreaming thinking you're going to bounce out and back easily at the Aranyaprathet Poipet border. It was a bad border before the lockdowns, and it's a terrible border now. Suck it up, go to Ban Laem or Ban Pakard. You'll get out and back with no issues at either of those borders."
  11. That's a scary question. Also obtaining MDAC one day prior would be stressful
  12. You're all good. BTW maintain the funds in bank (400k) till you receive final stamp. After that you can use funds as you wish. Two months prior to your next extension application bring bank balance back up to 400k
  13. Yes in her case no issue as she actually wants to stay few days. Many do not. Re the tourist visa it's bit irrelevant. Many folk say they "obtained tourist visa on arrival" .... They actually entered visa exempt. Given she plans a Long stay in Thailand point out that she can always fly out to places like Cambodia, Laos etc and reenter Thailand via land. The reason I mentioned the METV better option for long stay is that you can fly out and return via air as you have a visa. Maybe something to consider for future long stay in Thailand. Brings great joints such as Saigon into play. Popular with young folk
  14. Nothing. You had home visit. Completely normal. You return on Jan 30 for final stamp. You are currently in "under consideration period" Don't worry about that term. Your extension is approved.
  15. They are still available. When read your OP, I just assumed your niece had a visa exempt entry. Anyway 9 months....that changes things. Some border runs are now bit more involved in that without a border run company they are requiring 1-2 night stay. (That's not an issue for Niece as she plans to stay few days Some border crossings even asking for nonsense such as flight out of Thailand and accommodation details. She should be aware that for each 60 day stamp visa exempt that can be extended by 30 days. If in the future she plans another 9 month stay then a METV is better option and allows for trips out of Thailand using airports.
  16. That's correct. For a while there I was posting in threads that online report window was 2 weeks prior up till due date. The thing is they changed it back to 14-7 window which it previously was. After you do next one in person your online will work for the report after that. Just keep in mind the 14-7. I do it 14 days early. I just had my online approved Wed. Submitted Tues. If it was rejected there is no way I was going to attend in person. Just cop the fine at time of next annual extension.
  17. OP, CM have always insisted on TM30 for even inter provience travel. Even when rules were changed in June 2020. If I lived in CM I would do zero TM30 and TM47 and cop annual fine. I just opt to do one TM30 prior to my annual extension (CW). No simple solution for your situation. Bit off topic: I'm always bashing TM47 and was interest in how my online report would go this time as no travel outside of Thailand and all out of provience since report in person we never need pp. Anyway online report approved over night (CW). Still in shock.
  18. Off topic posts removed. OP asked a simple question which was covered early. Thread closed
  19. You do realize (I assume) that your rants are pointless. Most expats living in Thailand are acutely aware that various immigration offices have their particular "requirements" You mention certificate of residence. BTW it's not free in Bangkok. It's 200b and no option to obtain straight away. Some offices COR is free. Others perhaps 300 for one week process or 500b on the spot. If you don't like the bureaucracy either use an agent for immigration needs or accept it or leave.
  20. OP, first reply has your question covered. How long does she want/plan to be in Thailand
  21. And that's how it works. Nice courtesy that your imm office does. Mine (CW) does not. However in my Google calendar I have a notice on Feb 4 "can withdraw" That date is 3 months after my extension. Like most I will just leave the funds in the account. Nice to have instant access to 400k for emergency. Off topic: Bit of warning to travellers even those that have insurance. Friend of mine (tourist) had a turn and went to hospital for a night for observation etc. The private hospital (Pattaya) wanted 100k as "security deposit"
  22. So currently not married. You cannot obtain a Non O marriage. Are you over 50? You stated...."It asks for where i will be residing on the e-visa website, I would like to be residing with my girlfriend before we get married, but im not sure if this is allowed" What do you mean? Of course you can live with gf. I've been doing it for 12+ years.
  23. Another post with disguised poor language removed.
