Jomtien 3 month bank reporting
DrJack54 replied to smedly's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Extension done by agent almost certainly not done at Jomtien. The consequences on not reporting back at 3 months are zero. -
Visa help - New to the Game - Tourist
DrJack54 replied to MadaThailand's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Saigon is great place. You could obtain tourist visa there and also make holiday out of it. Thai do not require visa and also German national same. Just check visa exempt for Vietnam back in place . -
Visa help - New to the Game - Tourist
DrJack54 replied to MadaThailand's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You are permitted 2 visa exempt entries via land borders per calendar year. Each visa exempt entry can be extended by 30 days. Referred to as border bounce. -
"Current permit" just refers to current permission of stay. The current "admitted till date" in pp. In any event the OP now states this "I used an agent last year to convert work visa to retirement visa, this year am looking at doing it myself as it is more straight forward". Outta this thread the op changing tune. He is either looking for agent or do it yourself. Just be clear

OP, as stated earlier this is a winner. I'm not familiar with ME non O based on retirement. Have read previously that this is available from Savannakhet but have never read a report confirming that. Of course ME non O based on marriage is very common. As mentioned in earlier post this visa can effectively give a 15 month stay. Can I ask your lotto numbers

Visa’s and boarder runs
DrJack54 replied to Wishi's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
OP, working without work permit is illegal and can't think of anything that you could do in Thailand. If you are a hard worker there are opportunities in places such as Oz. Clearly you have backed yourself into a corner which ain't very smart. -
Jomtien 3 month bank reporting
DrJack54 replied to smedly's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
There were several reports some time back from folk dealing with Jomtien and the request to report back along with notice was hit and miss. -
Jomtien 3 month bank reporting
DrJack54 replied to smedly's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Don't report back. Your 3 month of balance 800k + after expiration granted will be checked at your next extension. Has always been a nonsense Jomtien requirement -
Fixed bank deposit pattaya
DrJack54 replied to roobaa01's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
In hindsight bit of mistake using two accounts. I keep the 800k all year round. There is nothing for immigration officer to scrutinize. Very simple process. You are not the only married guy that ops for extensions based on retirement. -
Fixed bank deposit pattaya
DrJack54 replied to roobaa01's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I use two dedicated bank accounts for extensions retirement. 600k+ in FD account. 200k+ in savings account. Both with same bank. The bank books sit in draw all year and come out for extension application. Zero issues. This is at CW. BTW no bank statements just the bank letter and photocopies of bb pages. -
90 Day Reporting Dates
DrJack54 replied to stament's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
By a couple of days. Will not cause an issue. Clearly you are going to make a 90 report so by all means make one. -

Which immigration office? Many folk throughout Thailand use FD account for extension purposes. -
90 Day Reporting Dates
DrJack54 replied to stament's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You are exiting Thailand 2 days after your 90 day report date? Then do nothing. Your report date clock will start again when you reenter Thailand. -
No TM6 - Register address
DrJack54 replied to rohitsuk's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Correct. Immigration may require you to provide TM30 to apply for extension. What is your accommodation situation. A hotel/condo should make a TM30 and you can ask for screenshot of that report. You won't require the TM6 for the TM30 as it has been suspended. -
