  1. First up you are not bringing someone to thailand. Girlfriend or otherwise. He/She will need to satisfy Thai immigration requirements for particular nationality. Out of interest I Googled that and there is lot of information available. Suggest that you check it out. Added note: You state where you reside has nothing to do with it..... If someone lives in Thailand for example on retirement with annual extensions and has a non Thai wife there is an option for that wife to live in Thailand as dependent. Check your facts.
  2. You changed your address. Indeed you are required to file a TM30. Seems that you are sorted now.
  3. Don't understand much of that. When you changed address (moved house) was that still same province meaning same immigration office? Then you state the following... "but then someone Said I need the tm30 in passport with new address..so I went to immigration and got one". No idea what you are referring to You live in Thailand on annual extensions? Why do you need a TM30 in your passport. Which immigration office do you deal with?
  4. Poor option. The OP is in Pattaya as a visit all be it could be not short. A 90 day report at Pattaya would require a change of address. After return to Buriram another TM30 to change address again. You stated ... "And thus you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by mailing your 90 day report to Buriram Imm." Did you miss post from OP not obtaining clear answer from immigration when there in person. Also not one post from anyone that deals with that office stating that mail in reports successful.
  5. No. The OP is asking about a change of address. Not some random trip to somewhere for a break. He needs to make a new TM30 at immigration to ensure that his change of address is on file. Again depends on other things as to it's importance.
  6. Very poor advice. It depends on many things if it's important or not. The main one being the status of OP in Thailand as I asked earlier. If living in Thailand on example annual extensions he very much will require to make 90 day reports. Clearly you have little knowledge of immigration office requirements.
  7. You mentioned 2 passports earlier in thread. At that stage you also seemed to indicate that you did not have equivalent of certificate of residence from embassy. Of course the passport info with current permission of stay would need to match up with embassy providing proof of address. So how did you obtain letter from embassy today on way to DLT. What does this mean.... "I recommend just going to Mo Chit DLT since they seem to have available times even for the next day".... Next day for what? Document check to book appointment. Surely not actual day to obtain license renewal.
  8. If you are in Thailand on annual extensions, suggest good option would be to attend immigration office in person to file TM30 (change of address) Of course that depends on your office and if easy to attend in person. Also how have you been doing 90 reports previously. Does this involve new immigration office or just change of address.
  9. The OP gave minimal details. Did not even state if he lives in Thailand and if so what type of visa/extension he has in Thailand. "Fiance" means nothing regarding visa options for Thailand. A quick Google search outlines options for Ugandan citizens to visit Thailand.
  10. The OP never suggested that. He mentioned possibility of posting it to BIL and having him do it on his behalf. Not clear cut if Buriram accepts reporting via mail. Of course they should, however....
  11. That fine however just because you travel and stay in a hotel that should not require you to file a TM30 when you return home just because you stayed at some random hotels elsewhere.
  12. Must have missed that in the thread. Best of luck with the process.
  13. Most likely he doesn't have any even more so ones without dates.
  14. I realize not a sweet pill to swallow however it's 2000 baht. I agree with an earlier post.... Don't post your pp back to Buriram. That's crazy idea imo. The downside of fine is that it needs to be paid in person. Depending on when next extension is you could clean up the matter on visit for extension. Reports that the 2000baht fine does not accrue. Meaning 2k even if more than one report missed.
  15. Correct and no other repercussions. I did look for reports of doing tm47 via mail at Burriram however not clear cut I use mail as back up option due to travel and long periods away from Bangkok. It's disappointing that mail option for report not being clear cut. Surely there must be posters dealing with Buriram that can give definitive advice. I wouldn't do a TM30 at Pattaya just to do 90 day report unless was intending to obtain next extension there.
  16. The point is that question comes up over and over. In reality different immigration offices and officers can decide what they deem the requirements to be. It's a form with not many fields that would be done (in most cases) once per year. Hardly significant.
  17. Unless Pattaya is where your address is recorded at, you would need to file a TM30 (change of address) in order to do a TM47 there.
  18. What's the point. It's a simple form. The second side is basically picture and signature. Not a lot on front side either. Download the form grab a blue pen and fill it in .
  19. First up not even close to what the OP is asking about. The OP plans to enter visa exempt and obtain an extension. If I was in that situation and was checking into a hotel with future plans to have dealings with immigration then my FIRST question would be ..... "Can you provide me with record of TM30 by way of screenshot etc?" If the reply was NO then I would not stay there. Many folk staying at places not a simple condo check in but for example wife's home, friend, gf, owner of condo, etc can do the TM30 as possessor, renter, owner etc. You are missing the fundamental point. Read the MANY threads along the lines .."the owner refuses to file TM30" The "owner lives overseas and hasn't done a TM30" etc. Few years back when there was change of head of immigration and new guy did a crackdown on TM30. Who paid the fine. In most cases it was the person dealing with the io. Even CW were fining folk 800baht if presented for extension without a TM30. All of which is off topic. The OP asked if he needed to file a TM30 next time he visits Thailand. If he had a reentry permit and was returning to his place of residence then the answer would be NO. The rules were changed June 2020. Fact is he is returning to thailand visa exempt and even though he is returning to his place of residence in Thailand he or the gf or the owner needs to file a TM30. Simple as that.
  20. Best advice I can offer in this thread for anyone planning to obtain an extension from a visa exempt entry (AKA the OP) is to completely ignore each of your posts. Ignore time.
  21. What the heck don't you understand. This quote is from your own post. Did you miss this bit.... "If however........it becomes YOUR responsibility......" As already outlined by @foreverlomsak
  22. Immigration may very well allow you to use lease for address. Even TM47 receipt. Some offices do not look at TM30 for ongoing extensions. In my own example I have lived in Thailand for 10year up and never (ever) done a TM30 or provided one for immigration for extension purposes. (CW). Which immigration office.
  23. Could not have said it any better. The chit chat about the responsibility to ensure TM30 is made falling upon owner or renter becomes a nonsense when the reality of obtaining an extension comes into play. The OP has been advised to ensure a TM30 is filed prior to applying for extension. "Not my job Mr immigration officer" won't cut it.
