    If you are planning to obtain extension (30 days) to your tourist visa and visa exempt entries you will need to provide TM30 Visa exempt is 45 days from Oct 1 both via air and land

    One thing Australian expats living in Thailand have a nice deal is that the flights in my thread Melb -Bangkok are 8.5 hours direct. In hindsight shouldn't have started this thread. A basic "starter booking" with low cost airline was always a loss of return flight. I notice the usual suspect (on ignore) caused issue in my simple thread. Thanks for most of the replies.

    Well known. Mentioned MANY times on AseanNow. Also it is important to mention which immigration office you deal with. I previously report via mail prior to the new improved online method. I deal with CW and my list is different to what you list.

    OP, to add to above posts, be aware that if you exit and reenter Thailand just prior to visa expiry you will be stamped in for another 12 months. Thus getting almost 2 years out of the non O-A before you need worry about extension. For your first extension you will need to use money in the bank method. If you are planning to retire in Thailand I suggest a non O based on retirement a better option..

    Good. Since there is no requirement to do so. Think uj mentioned that the law changed in June 2020 so any immigration office insisting on TM30 for eg your situation is wrong.

    Thanks for report. It's been mentioned many times on AseanNow that your first report can be done in person OR via mail. On your list think you missed photocopy of pp page showing most recent entry to Thailand.

    So as stated throughout thread You can use income method with 12 month record of transfers. Otherwise you need to use money in bank method. Which part is confusing. You cannot obtain income letter from UK embassy.

    So after monologue about not much .... The bottom line is that anyone obtaining a non O retirement in Thailand and seeking to obtain 12 month extentions needs to use money in bank method. Many have asked about this as evident in current threads. To those folk: ...forget income method unless you can show 12 months of transfers.

    Can you point to ONE report that has accepted couple of months of income for first extension based on retirement. If an immigration office exists that does that I think a lot of business coming in their direction.

    For years CW have insisted on a hand drawn map showing distance from nearest intersection etc. In more recent times reports from folks using Google map etc. Personally I have been using a basic map from back of my condo flyer. Just draw one to cover all bases.
