  1. This strikes me as things you would do before you retire! Fatherhood at retirement, basically means you are not retired as you have many responsibilities to others. Good for you! Hope there is a Mom involved
  2. Off topic, but funny to me is when Trump announced he is running for president, no one questioned it and asked to see the filing or the names of his campaign committee and other requirements. Yes he did it before, but now much more difficult to get a campaign manager etc... None of those things are automatic. So in reality, like his tax returns, no one has seen the paperwork he supposedly filed to begin another run for President... He just goes on TV and announces it like he has the "right" to run again 5555
  3. Dogs will love you unconditionally, kids will not! Even your own kids! Plus dogs do not pollute the air, carry weapons, or steal your money 5555
  4. Worse crimes are those who do it because of their "religious beliefs" historically, and it continues to this day If you look at countries where drugs are legal, this certainly is a false statement
  5. No. You have been online too much and reading conspiracy pablum IMO
  6. Have been saying since Jan. 6 that POTUS 45 will eventually be indicted and expatriate himself to a non-extradition country to avoid jail. OF course even from Russia or China or any of the middle east countries, he can still spout off on socials to satisfy his followers/ devotees
  7. The way I see it is 95% of the retired expats in Pattaya who own a scooter or a car, really do not need either. Only reason would be to take a trip, but this can be done by renting a car for a month or simply hiring a taxi/van service or taking a bus. Big C or Makro shopping? You can hire a Songthaew to take your food home or have it delivered. Taking a girl to 3 Mermaids for a nice meal? Hire a Bolt taxi and sit in back and cuddle with your companion while someone else drives and drops you off - no parking hassles ever! I am a retired expat living here for 4 years without any motorized vehicle and have no problems. So for me the real debate is why do you need to "own" any motorized vehicle
  8. Shut the window! Turn on the A/C if necessary to 27 for 8 hours. Once a month pay the 1000 baht electric for the A/C and your problem is solved! Or move to the city - 5555
  9. The cheap Thai brick weed has been around forever. Very weak and does not last long. The article seems staged to me as well. If we cannot see the "cannabis" or see smoke coming out of the youngsters mouth, then How do we know they smoked it???? Too many people really will believe anything they read on the internet or what people tell them.
  10. Sadly I cannot find the date or doctors name who "diagnosed" this. And now he has had 4 children, which is pretty irresponsible knowing bipolar is genetically transmitted. One article says he was diagnosed at 17 years old, the other says just 8 years ago in 2016? No excuse for hate speech whether he has this "illness" or not
  11. Deporting citizens? I was hopeful as I remember reading this book in the 70's . In my view deporting should be an option . Likely POTUS 45 will expatriate himself to a non-extradition country if he is actually sentenced to jail one day 555 "The Man Without a Country" is based on the true story of Philip Nolan, an American army officer who becomes connected with the trial of Vice President Aaron Burr. Burr was being tried for treason, and Nolan was charged as a co-conspirator. While on the witness stand, Nolan cursed the United States, and the judge later sentenced Nolan to serving a life imprisonment without ever again setting foot on U.S. soil ....
  12. I really have no idea why this guy is popular or even listened to by anyone. Personally have never heard his "music" and frankly do not care , yet at some point these treasonous/hateful bastards should be deported as they just will not shut up 5555
  13. Yes, will watch as love the western themed shows. Am shocked though by casting an 80 year old in the 1920's when life expectancy was around 55 years ! 555 I mean, can't Hollywood find younger actors who needs the work? Ford and Mirren are certainly great actors, but do not need the work IMO
  14. I enjoy watching Club Random with Bill Maher., he strives to find a center in many ways, A podcast but live on video with guests from all sides of the spectrum https://www.youtube.com/@ClubRandomPodcast
  15. Off topic, yet want to say: Insurance companies should be the ones supporting that IMO. Federal assistance from taxpayer monies in the USA should be used for fixing infrastructure and supply lines, not helping people who now need shelter and sustenance. This is why homeowners and business owners have insurance. BUT insurance companies never seem to be honest and quick about paying out and helping when people need it the most.
  16. I doubt most of us! 555 If you lived in America and are over 62? years old yes. Do not think Star Trek TV series was broadcast overseas in 1966.
  17. Swedish data from testing non-native speakers of English...?? What is this for people living in the 20th century? Another worthless survey IMO Bigger Point! With translation apps improving all the time - within a generation it will not matter, People will be able to understand each other whatever language they speak
  18. Not a National Bank like Bank of America or Wells Fargo BTW. USAA is one of those "federal thrift" banks that has a very low rating... AKA Federal Savings Banks Best to go with a National Bank when an expat IMO
  19. Just downloaded first episode of Tulsa King with Sly Stallone from 1337X . Entertaining with some dark humor. Rated well on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes as well
  20. Every shop in Pattaya clearly states "Medical Cannabis" . What is this "weed" everyone is talking about! 5555
  21. How and why would any sane person "load up" on something virtual? It just is not real and does not represent anything tangible. Next thread NFT's baby 5555
  22. Yes I have been lured by the mystique of a tattoo, always by women who have them and lure me into the bar 5555.
  23. "War veterans" tough call for me as well. Have known many acquaintances and friends in their 50-60's who never went to war, sat in Germany or South Korea with cushy jobs, free meals, free housing for 20 years. Now these "veterans" receive big checks paid by taxpayers, and are the only Americans who get free healthcare at this point... is that right? Wokism is simply accepting that people are different, does not seem to bother most people. Kind of like all the old bald white men in Pattaya walking hand in hand with Ladyboys. It is a real thing, but how does that affect me? It does not. If alternate gender people start to be prioritized for jobs like affirmative action did, then that would bother me and be wrong IMO and affect my life...has not happened
  24. So somehow YOU are inside closed clubs on WS? And seen this in more than one club? I hear about this all the time and am dumbfounded. If a policeman came in to check on my liquor license or some other necessary business license, Fine. If a policeman wanted a payment under the table, I would phone the police station Soi 9 and ask for a supervisor to come to my shop to investigate immediately. Corruption only occurs when you let it
  25. If you believe she had 500K baht I have Ocean front property in Issan for you! Banks are where you keep money, then take out as needed at ATM
