  1. That’s all well and good. But it takes at least two weeks for the vaccine to activate in the body .
  2. It still is a grey area. Unfortunately there still is no definitive medical answer regarding the amount of vaccines you need. And the health issues from the vaccines need more research also. The best thing you can do is listen to a health professional you trust at this point.
  3. You can do it yourself online or in person. But I would consider looking for another rental. Maybe the owner never rented before. But it could possibly turn into an issue
  4. This is a very big mistake not implementing special restrictions regarding people coming in from China. I have nothing against the Chinese. I visited Beijing twice, Xian once. That was about ten years ago. Unfortunately things have changed. During that time I met some locals who were very nice. Showed me around the cities I visited. These were everyday people from a. Cultural website. Not tour guides. I really enjoyed China at that time. Unfortunately with Covid some bad things happened there. Is it a fault of most of the general population there? I would say no. But because of that situation. I feel there is a need for very stringent entry rules for Chinese visitors.
  5. RIP the people that lost their lives in this horrible accident. The driver that allegedly caused the accident at least manned up and took responsibility. More than what most people do. But that is not going to erase the damage and loss of life caused by the accident .
  6. Everyone is different. It depends on your individual needs and desires. What you want to do and your goals in life
  7. These so called men seem to get jealous very easily. And are quick to resort to violence
  8. Shouldn’t have an issue. Other then you now have no active vaccine in your system. And traveling poses a greater risk
  9. Just more quality tourist in the land of smiles. Maybe when they apologized they forgot to Wai.
  10. What the expat did is hearsay. Unfortunately we will never know. But from the explanation of the events. Nothing happened to justify deadly force. And one statement says the expat actually backed away to get back on his bike. If the person felt threatened and it was justified. He would not have left the scene and disappeared. But an apology was given, probably a Wai. So that should make it all better now.
  11. There might be a tie with Thailand and Italy to retire. But to retire in Italy you would have difficulty if you have barebones income and little to no health insurance. Compared to living in Thailand.
  12. From the mentality of the drivers. I doubt they are really going to care
  13. Kind of odd these restrictions only last until the end of the month. Because of Covid rates increasing. And the influx of Chinese tourists. There has to be some sort of control. Some people complain about the adverse effects on tourism. But also complain there are too many tourists and how bad a number of them are. Complain about Covid restrictions in general and how Covid is actually nothing.. But when it gets bad complain about the quality, availability, red tape, getting a vaccine. Some of the complaining is just as chaotic as the new restrictions.
  14. Kind of surprising a six year old child had the capability to even shoot a real gun. Let alone had the mentality to try to kill someone. According to news reports. The teacher is In very critical, life threatening condition. The way these types of stories give some people excuses to criticize and blame America. Like nothing ever happens in Thailand. Try watching the local news every night. One story after another involving some sort of violence. Mostly for the most trivial issues. What happened has nothing to do with America. It stems from a very troubled child. And how he got hold of a gun. I’m sure the child didn’t purchase the gun due to some so called flaw in a gun control law in America.
  15. Cheaper in Thailand for the Chinese. Maybe if they moved to a rural village in Thailand. But not a city. I’m not talking about real estate. Just normal expenses.
  16. Always had to show passport for transactions at the teller. I use the ADM for depositing rental payments I don’t bother with going to the teller.
  17. So any precautions against covid should be dropped? Yeah great idea. Then if people get Covid and have to go to a doctor or admitted to a hospital. They will do the usual whining about the medical costs being so high. Because they either have little or no health insurance. And blame their own country and the rest of the world for their own shortcomings.
  18. Many automobile accidents, people stranded, and some deaths reported. Nothing funny about this.
  19. I have an enlarged prostate. I have been taking many years medication for it. It is very large. But you need to talk to your urologist what is the best option for you. Each individual case is different. And what might have been effective for one, might not be good for you. It’s good you are gathering information here. You can use the information as questions for your doctor. And people are trying to help But as you know. They cannot tell you which one is best for your specific situation.
  20. First of all the OP has not mentioned using an agent to get around the system. Believe it or not, some people can actually afford to use agents and attorneys for things. Without trying to get away with something. I suggest to the OP if you still can’t reach the agent . And time is too close. You contact immigration for assistance. You basically have no other recourse. If immigration does not have your passport and nothing was filed. You will have to contact your embassy,. And depending on the rules of your Embassy. Would need to file a police report because technically the passport would be considered stolen. Immigration would also probably need a police report also. But of course I’m just speculating
  21. Great idea. Welcome them to put Thailand at risk for a worse Covid situation
  22. Condo 1: The owner says it’s unavailable. So you still insist on keeping the booking? It’s their personal property. You cant demand them to rent it to you. Now if the owner didn’t rent it to you but kept the money, different story. Condo 2: it’s illegal to rent a condo in Thailand for less than 30 days. You probably could find an owner that does less than 30. But if the Juristic becomes aware of it they might contact the owner and say you have yo leave. And if you refuse to leave. . Well that might not turn out well for you.
