Breakfast in Pattaya - Ongoing Thread as I tour the best spots
Jelly can be both. The difference between jam and jelly spread on toast is that for jelly the fruit is put through a strainer so the result is a much smoother texture than jam, where the fruit is crushed or chopped.

Where To Find A Dvi To Vga Adapter
19 years later? Do you really think he'll still be looking? OP hasn't even logged on for 11 years. But at least you got a plug in for SF Cable, whoever they are.

TM30 Self Reporting - system's stumped me.
If you really want to get on the system, or if anyone else wants to know, this is how I recall doing this about 7 months ago. Get a signed copy of the owner's ID card and a signed copy of the housebook. Register an account on the TM30 website in the owner's name/ID and add the property details and copies from the previous step to create an address record. This is done in the user profile. Wait for it to be approved (I can't remember if this happened automatically or not). Add the person staying details/dates and submit. You use this button for that IIRC. You can then do a search, find the record and take a copy to keep as it disappears from the system after 7 days. I agree it's not at all intuitive, but if you find yourself in the wrong place most screens have a cancel button so you can go back before doing any harm. Have a search on here for other threads as you might get some more details from others who have done it that I may have missed.

Flights: Chiang Mai to London
We don't even know if he's going to London yet and he'd need a big tailwind to do it in that time. Only one flight in the past week has broken 12 hours.

Flights: Chiang Mai to London
I agree, it's not for me but people are doing it and the OP said he wasn't in a rush. He's never going to do 12 hours from Chiang Mai anyway.

Flights: Chiang Mai to London
Consider yourself corrected. Chiang Mai only has international flights to elsewhere in Asia, nothing to Europe. 😉 OP. Where in the UK are you heading? The ME airlines have good coverage to most regions, or if you don't mind a few hours in the wrong direction first you might find some bargains with the Chinese ones.

Thailand Digital Arrival Card. TDAC
CHE surely, although typing SWI will find it too. Confusing as it is, UNI will find UK in the residency field but will not find British in the nationality field, which also has an standalone entry for Scotland.

Thailand’s Emergency Alert System Goes Live in Major Test
Yes, as have some others. These alerts come in the form of SMSs so as long as you're within range of a mast you can receive them even if you're connected to wifi rather than mobile data. I seem to remember they could be switched off/disabled from your phone but looking at the menu options on mine now it doesn't seem so easy.

Transfer cost
It may not apply to non-Thais if this is an issue for you. Discussed a couple of weeks ago on a post just down the page from yours.

Thailand Digital Arrival Card. TDAC
Nobody has used one yet to find out immigration's interpretation, but if you read the email it mentions "You may choose to download or print a copy of this and retain it for the duration of your stay" which indicates to me it's not compulsory to have a print out.

TM6?
Are you referring to the new TDAC? It can only be done a maxiumum of 3 days before entry. Use the calendar box and you'll see dates beyond that are not selectable. Manually entering an ineligible date will give the Invalid format error message.

The restriction was introduced following discovery of a terror plot in 2006. 9/11 was 2001.

Passport expiring
The airlines use the IATA system Timatic to check requirements and that shows your passport only needs to be valid for the period of stay. No 6 month rule.

A Night in the Thai Police Station
Don't overthink things, I'm not trying to argue with anyone and simplifying things (without distorting them) is quite suitable to get insight into a particular aspect of an issue. Much has been made about the guys level of drunkenness but I'm pretty sure in the UK it wouldn't matter a jot if he failed the evidentiary test (2 chances are allowed) he'd be in the cells until sober (ie he could pass) or overnight if he was going to be in court in the morning. I'm trying to find out what the situation would be elsewhere and it seems more than fair to ask a guy who should know.

A Night in the Thai Police Station
So in your time on the job and with your experience of multiple cases, would you let a guy walk because he was only a little bit over the legal limit?
