  1. I'm not sure where I got the other site from, but I definitely have it filed under "new" application route. Let us know how you get on with the original one.
  2. I've not applied for a while, but I think that's the old site. I've got a note that the new one is: https://dichvucong.bocongan.gov.vn/bocongan/bothutuc/tthc?matt=26277 They're both .gov.vn sites and maybe one leads to the other or maybe they both work, I honestly don't know.
  3. A mate received his last night (Monday 25th Sep) at 23:10. Applied 20th Sep at 09:00.
  4. Indeed it shouldn't, but the financial benefits of keeping it in the UK (and probably many other places too) far away exceed those of keeping it locked up in a Thai bank, even if does then require the cost of an agent to get an extension of stay.
  5. If you look at your approval receipt you will see the job title of the approver. On my latest one this translates as "Deputy Inspector/Immigration, Chonburi Province". This indicates to me it's being done locally.
  6. Cheers, I may have mixed it up with Chiang Rai now I think about it (definitely the airport surcharge bit applies there) or maybe just getting forgetful. Been to both several times and easily confused.
  7. Via Dubai as mentioned by KhunBENQ, but my origin is in the UK. They haven't yet returned to Edinburgh since Covid so I would have to travel to/from Glasgow. Not a great hardship but a bit of a pain. Pre-Covid I would often fly out of GLA purely to use their lounge there, and back to EDI for the convenience, but I'm sure many would not. It's all down to personal preferences.
  8. I've flown on Business Class tickets that didn't include hold baggage a couple of times. Finnair.
  9. Price is always up there, but convenience for me too. My local airport is no longer served by Emirates so it's an extra complication getting to/from their starting point. You mention NYC so there's a choice of airports but EK and QR both only fly in to JFK, so both equal there (Emirates fly to Newark but it would mean an extra stop in Athens). No stopovers longer than 3 hours for me. On board Qatar are probably better (dine on demand for example) but Emirates are much more proactive and helpful if things go wrong. Qatar are also renowned for changing planes so what you book might not be what you get. It all boils down to personal preferences but when all other things are equal I prefer Emirates.
  10. The airline would have used that to fly you out if immigration rejected you. Maybe if you didn't have that a further check would have been required.
  11. Currently a dummy booking on Bolt is shown below but it seems very cheap for a 20 mile journey. Grab say they won't pick up at the airport. Regular taxi on the meter would be over 700 baht including the airport surcharge (32kms x 20 baht plus 50 baht standing charge).
  12. It's unlikely immigration will ask for proof of onward travel, but they will want to see your passport and boarding pass. Knowing what passport and/or visa you hold may get you more information.
  13. It was a few years ago now, but that's what I did. The price was reduced from that charged if they got the Non Imm O as well, but I don't recall by how much.
  14. Longer journey's but I would recommend heading west with either Emirates if you can get A380s or Qatar if you can get QSuites. Qatar are notorious for aircraft changes so keep an eye on it if you go with them.
  15. Did you read the OP?
  16. I didn't put any emojis on the posts, but my first impression on seeing the photo was not good. The chop looked fatty, the veg/garnish sad and the mash insufficient. Putting the gravy boat on the plate fills up space so they can reduce the food content without looking too cheap. All that matters though is whether you enjoyed it and thought it value for money which it appears you did.
  17. The topic title and the OP both said 20 seconds originally and have subsequently been changed.
  18. The original article in The Daily News says 20 minutes (20 นาที) not 20 seconds (20 วินาที) which is still a stretch but much more believable.
  19. Yes, it's normal. I even put in the notes to driver that I'll come down and meet them outside the lift on the ground floor to make sure there's no room for error. Pure laziness to do otherwise IMO.
  20. Which one was it?
  21. Things might change if you make it to 21 years old.
  22. Look at the OP's previous - there's some more of equal stupidity.
  23. I've been using Firefox for longer than I care to remember and never experienced anything like that.
  24. Exactly what I said in disagreeing with 5davidhen1 who posted: I just added a proviso as I personally hadn't done it for a while but would next time to confirm with recent personal experience.
  25. Please explain. What I wrote is what I have experienced and what many posters have also reported (on the many many posts regarding Wise over the past few years). I just haven't used it (the long term stay method) for a while so have no experience of any recent changes, but likewise I have never seen any reported, unless they're going to a different bank which doesn't support the arrangements Wise have with BBL for this. When anyone reports it as "not working" it always seem to be for another reason.
