  1. The delay referred to (until 2:00pm the next day depending on timing) is when users require the transfer to be identified as coming from overseas, usually for visa/extension purposes. This procedure is carried out with recipient acccounts in Bangkok Bank and maybe Kasikorn too. If you are getting instant transfers with the "long term" option selected you must be sending to another bank. Is that correct?
  2. You're quite new on here (Feb this year). Stick around and you'll read much more miserable, pointless posts than that one from ChaiyaTH whose profile pic should probably be changed to -
  3. Thailand Pass now gives 3 days from expected date of arrival, not +/- 7 days as before. Mine was issued as pictured above, but now says from 5th June until 8th June. This change is also mentioned on the Thailand Pass website although I've not seen any official publicity regarding it.
  4. It's not 100% clear from the posts, but I think the 300 baht was only charged once on the original transfer. OP: Does "first test" at the start of this post mean first post in this discussion or first post today?
  5. It's convenient and used to be a good method from what I've read, but since the existence of Wise and similar companies it's not the most cost effective.
  6. I'd go with this. I just checked my account and my "ATM/Debit Card Annual Fee" came off on 31st May which looks like it almost coincides with your transfer.
  7. Probably due to the new Personal Data Protection Act which took effect 1st June and has been mentioned on here.
  8. Did you mean Mor Chana will be deep-sixed or Mor Phrom as that information is in Mor Phrom?
  9. Yes. Here's a clip of mine and it means I can enter any time between 29th May and 12th June. Not sure why yours would give what appears to be a 2 day window when a 15 day window has been in place for a few weeks now, unless you changed or made a mistake with your original travel date.
  10. Sounds unusual so I think we're missing some information. Does your girlfriend hold different currencies in her Wise account? Were you both sending GBP? Can you look at both yours and her PDF receipts from Wise and spot any differences? Does it show up as charges in the BBL account or are you just seeing a difference in amount deposited? Wise from the UK is normally the best option so I can understand you want to get to the bottom of it.
  11. I find that surprising. In the few days since you started posting under this username I got the impression you were only about 14 years old. Just goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover.
  12. Run a program that monitors processor or other internal temperatures and see what it comes up with.
  13. OP already comfirmed the aircon unit was bleeping, thus indicating the instruction has arrived and been understood.
  14. Keep your place in EU for your visits back there.
  15. Come on - your advice and posts on many platforms, over many years, with many usernames would indicate there are more than a few gaps in your knowledge.
  16. I've just done a dummy booking on Bolt, entering BKK as my pickup point. It gave me the option of being picked up at arrivals or the parking area and dropped a pin on the map to show me where to go once I'd made my selection, although I'm not sure how clear it was for the parking area! I selected my usual destination and it offered a price of 1,280 baht. Airport taxis are usually around 1,500 baht I believe (never used one) or pre-booked private taxis 1,100 or 1,200 baht. Another dummy booking showed the reverse trip at 6 baht cheaper.
  17. I've used Bolt and the driver called when he was 5 minutes out and we met him on the next but one carriageway across the road from arrivals. No surcharge. This was probably about a year ago so may have changed.
  18. Did you let Halifax do the currency exchange and have THB deposited in your Thai bank or did you send GBP and let the Thai bank do the exchange. Either way there will be other costs over and above the £9.95 fee you mentioned. There will likely be a point where Halifax will be cheaper, but I'm pretty sure it's a lot higher then £2,000.
  19. Bars are open although currently re-titled as restaurants, but no food requires to be bought. Most shut down around midnight but as anywhere, if you know the right places you can drink all night if you want to. No change to hotel guest policies AFAIK, but book your room for two anyway as it shouldn't cost any more (no breakfast). No idea about pool/snooker. All this will likely change by July so keep reading the news between now and your trip.

  21. If it's gone, or if it's any closer, there's one at the very beginning of the walkway before Door 1.
  22. Sorry, can't help with Oz passport requirements. What I relate is from a Brit mate who is a regular traveller between Thailand and Vietnam. I often go with him and rely on him to keep my right but this time I was going to the UK so not 100% clear on exactly what he needed. I'm pretty sure it is as my mate had to change plans to return in < 2 weeks and was cursing he'd paid for the month visa! You need to show exit flight details on arrival for the two week stamp.
  23. How did you find this out? I too have a Redmi Note 10 (5G Model) but I can't see anything about esim for this or the other models, but I could be looking in the wrong place.
  24. More drivel. Sometimes you're better to stop digging when you're already in a big hole of your own making. Do the forum a favour and try it sometime. Thailand Pass website lists all the open crossing points. Psar Phrum appears to be on the Cambodia side across from Chantaburi province where there are two crossings currently open. I've no idea if they are near Psar Phrum though. Places are being added to this list regularly so keep checking if it's an option for you.
