  1. Let the sender and Shopee know if you indeed did not receive a call. Some folks just do not want to travel out of their way to deliver - have also had it happen here in Bangkok. And some do not have a clue where you are without calling and asking directions (many) due to the <deleted> numbering systems in use.
  2. I use USAA for payment - but Wise has various options including cards. Wise pulls via ACH from my bank account - no special requirements once set up (and was set up by logging onto bank online account page via 3rd party secure system years ago). I also use a local Colorado bank for payments - same system. ACH can be either pull or push but I use WISE pull - not sure of setup requirements to push from home bank. Suspect it better to get current information by logging onto WISE web site but I know SWIFT is also much more of a chore with my banks than using WISE, which is one reason I use it.
  3. Why not just transfer to domestic WISE and let them make the transfers? You can even set up automatic monthly payments. Likely will not cost any more. I have Wise set up to make a $1400 transfer on 2nd and 3rd of each month and seems to work well; using ACH payment from my bank that WISE draws.

That was not my experience at all and found Zenni much better than any I had bought in USA or here at a fraction of the price. But I did not buy the cheapest from Zenni so that might be a factor. Ford/RR is not the factor it was 40 years ago - today most things can be made cheap and good, much to my amazement (also come from the expensive means quality generation).
  5. The operation is to remove the lens which has cataract so not sure why it would take more time for advanced cataract - the same size lens must be removed. Perhaps the cloudy lens makes it harder to do safely?
  6. Actually they do seem to be using it in my experience (but as usual it varies by branch you ask - Embassy letter with address and reason for opening account was recent requirement and from reports seems to be a normal ask these days.
  7. Believe the main requirement is physical address of provider being on the receipt. Many places here do not provide any receipt and when asked just have general receipt pad with no name/address on it.
  8. Indeed they do - ACH international format (which US banks do not provide for normal personal accounts). This method is not an option for most people anymore. https://www.bangkokbank.com/en/Personal/Other-Services/Transfers/Transferring-Into-Thailand/Transfer-money-from-US-to-Thailand-via-Bangkok-Bank-NewYork-branch
  9. Suspect it is the language you used here: WISE does not transfer anything - they pay with a local currency account. If using a normal transfer you would want to send USD and have conversion done at Thai bank.
  10. US bank SWIFT making exchange will result in a much less attractive rate.
  11. That would be ACH domestic transfer and can not be processed for onward delivery unless in international format (which is not used by US banks for personal accounts). In the past it was possible - not now. As said above this is no longer an option for domestic ACH transfers. You have that backwards - better rate is in Thailand for USD - never allow US bank to make the conversion. Indeed if not for long stay deposit my recent average time is 4-6 seconds for WISE transfer into my Thai account.
  12. Actually homes here in Bangkok were renumbered in logical order - but PO (and suspect others) were not keen on learning new system so most of us are forced to use both numbers and have both on gate and providing landmark as reference to those calling. The solution in today's world would be to adopt Google Maps location - exact location using about six letters; with photos in most cases.
  13. Import duty from Lazada and Shopee? Not in my experience but most of my orders would not attract such. The new "pre order" is avoid at all costs in my book - at least with China sellers they will normally have the item in stock and ship quickly. And most will arrive without about 10 days.
  14. Have not used hand drawn for a decade at CW - Google maps always accepted these days in my experience. But then perhaps they just believe this old fogie would not be able to draw.
  15. There is no US phone requirement for OLT - have used last two years and very happy with it.
  16. Don't believe palate is refined but Cheddar is strong for me, Itohham ham sandwich good, no mustard of any kind and not enjoyed the beer since Bending when living in FFM in the late 60's. Getting old.
  17. Agree - so coffee tastes like it should for me. But not having a bad taste is as important as having no taste. Boiled water always seemed to have a bad taste for me.
  18. A kettle does not remove the dirt and heavy metals or provide the taste that RO gives - there is a reason people buy water - and most of the water they buy is RO treated. I was boiling water in India 50 years ago and then filtering - but times have changed - and I am very glad they have. As for the costs - that 500 baht in not the final cost - fire/time/cleaning/storage all have to be factored in as well as the taste (which you may like but I found less than good by itself or as base for anything else - boiled water is not my cup of tea).
  19. No address? That might be needed to get the product. Suspect you just did a login and now need to add address and such.
  20. Nonsense - up to 98% removal by RO/carbon filtration.
  21. They sure have my email address - get confirmation msg a few seconds after delivery every time. Might want to go to My Account and add it along with phone number (also used almost every delivery).
  22. I would wait until Friday as may be processed today - mine was at 08xx Monday and approved 15xx yesterday.
  23. Suspect 1k-2k at hospital with doctor visit. My last CBC was 300 baht for test alone.
  24. We are a family of 8 and 50GPD is more than enough for drinking and cooking. That is 5 large water cooler bottles per day. Looks was that it is an open system - rather than in a case. But you could locate it out of sight if wanted - we have above kitchen sink and have no issues with that. The water is about as pure as pure can be. RO is the system used to convert sea water to drinking water and very effective filtration.
