  1. I don't believe Kasikorn uses FTT - that is only used by Bangkok Bank AFAIK. Each bank seem to have their own codes for various things. Normally a listing on last page of passbook.
  2. There are pest control firms everywhere in Thailand and they can do a fair job - but it will need repeating often and involves underground spray as well as house spray. Have not seen any use the tent system here however. So it is open deadly chemicals everywhere on your property. We had done until exterminator become a monk to make up for all the life he took. Much better in long term is to avoid wood if that is an option. Cement and tile if you can.
  3. Believe you request from Kasikorn as they are the payee and got the foreign transfer.
  4. Believe BBL can still do if account is not tagged to use BBL only - mine are to tag account so always delayed until 1400.
  5. The Wise system is local partner banks - but the local bank knows the account is foreign funded if located in their bank and can record any transfer from it to another account in their bank as such (BBL always does). Also do not believe BBL WISE account is limited to under 50 transfer rule.
  6. Bangkok Bank is a major account for payments by Wise. And yes all my transfers are using Wise Bangkok Bank account to my Bangkok Bank account and recorded as FTT (foreign telegraphic transfer).
  7. BBL can not correct if a transfer from another bank - get the receipt from Wise and contract the Thai bank making payment to get proof. Immigration will accept that paperwork (and may accept Wise receipt but better to get the proof from transferring bank). Using that option of funds for long term stay in Thailand is not 100% - much better to ask Wise to flag your account to always use Bangkok Bank as transfer (still not guaranteed but much more reliable from reports and my own experience).
  8. They don't ride around on bicycle's and perhaps spread the wealth?
  9. Actually at CW they will also require a bank letter of account ownership/current balance issued the same day, copy of account book for the year including current day and if using income from country not providing Embassy confirmation letters a one year bank statement covering the previous 12 months of required deposits. For Bangkok Bank customers one year statement can not be obtained from branch banks so normally takes few days to obtain.
  10. That is the issue outside of Bangkok - most working full time will be general detests and specialists will visit a day a week or month perhaps. That will not be an issue in Bangkok.
  11. Tired or not - it is working for the vast majority of those using it from the few negative reports we see here and expect most of us consider it a vast improvement - especially if living a distance from immigration office or up in years. As has been said it is well worth the try several weeks early even if in doubt - expect most people are pleasantly surprised with quick and easy approval. And in worst case still have time to do using other ways.
  12. As said it has been many years but there was share taxi service to both Penang and border available from some travel agents in Hat Yai for those who make border or visa runs and expect there still are. In any event Hat Yai is fine for overnight stays and good selection of imported items are low price for sale in markets. Normally I would travel to Penang and return next day with no issues but last trip was death in family and needed to return faster so just went to border at Sadao and had issues with Thai officer demanding taxi paperwork (which taxi did not want to submit (pay) so was staying out of sight). Border crossings can be problematic if doing same day at a number of crossings - which makes the air exit/return a good option if price is reasonable.
  13. The easy route is air and return by air if fares not an issue. You might do domestic Bangkok - Hat Yai - border trip via taxi - Hat Yai - Bangkok cheaper. But flying to another country and return is easy method.
  14. That is for a replacement passport - you can, and I have, had more than one valid US passport. In the case of poster he is not talking about USA passport in any case.
  15. I do not know poster passport country but for USA you can, and I have had, two valid passports - people who travel often may have same type as one may be tied up getting visas when travel has to take place. Others will have Official or Diplomatic and tourist passports You do need a valid reason for having extra passport however.
  16. OP said family non O visa - which suggests a multi entry non immigrant O visa which provides only a 90 day stay and you must travel across a border to obtain a new entry. If OP has financials immigration could extend visa one year at a time but they can not provide a new 90 day entry.
  17. If research indicated such. But to compare these two substances in ludicrous.
  18. Was talking Sadao land crossing - never even considered much longer East Cost provinces entry. Sorry for any confusion.
  19. Rail crossing is a bit in the wilderness last time I used (many years ago) and nothing there. Auto/bus entry had become a brothel so many short time hotels there but they would not allow same day turn around without special paperwork from "taxi". Do not believe there was any bus service to border - people on but or train stopped in Hat Yai and used taxi service from there to border or Penang. But as said this was many years ago so expect things have changed - just make sure you know for sure.
  20. Here is a list on US Embassy site of several experienced services with costs listed (about 30k for local cremation and paperwork/services). Obviously you must make next of kin aware of what you want. They can work directly with such service and should not be any issues. https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/death-of-a-u-s-citizen/#collapse5 Click on financial arrangements
  21. You are aware that every hospital has a full dental department on site? I have used this Doctor at Vejthani Hospital for many years and happy with her service. https://dentalisthailand.com/team/dr-rungdara-kumanchan/
  22. What is available from Thai sources is not the apostille stamp of the Hague Convention as Thailand is not a member state.
  23. A I O U and sometimes 80 year old fingers/mind connection push wrong key - at least you were able to make out the meaning (often type entirely wrong words these days).
  24. That out of stock often appears when page first loads for a second - just another Lazada quark.
