  1. Do not believe many tourists would have a clue how to operate a long tail boat.
  2. It appears you visited immigration and supplied income proof and used TM87 form to obtain 90 day non immigrant O visa entry stamp (cost 2,000 baht). Then returned 75 days later to apply for a one year extension of stay for retirement using new income proof and TM7 form at cost of 1,900 baht.
  3. And so goes the justification mantra from the "I didn't do anything wrong" generation. It may not be as high risk as drunk driving - that some seem to do - but don't tell others it is the right thing to do. In most cases that IO prefer is just IO want correct paperwork and if you present all is fine.
  4. Below 20c is freezing for those of us adjusted to hot weather (and like 27c for aircon). I did that freezing winter months bit for 3 years in Homestead Florida and don't want it in Thailand.
  5. I find these quite good. And easy to find at Tops and other supermarkets.
  6. The bottom is the induction plate - it lifts off of it for pouring.
  7. As I posted yesterday there is also the induction electric pot option, which I prefer for longevity, hotter water when you want it and ability to take where you want it and requires no routine cleaning to keep operating. Simple but it works.
  8. Or just connect to your computer at no extra cost.
  9. There may be a 3rd possibility as some LED lamps are also made for safety exit use and are designed to provide limited light when power lost. Not sure if they make for circle lights but have a few normal E27 base bulbs so designed.
  10. Perhaps because he does not even come close to qualifications?
  11. Actually suspect most information here is both accurate/free/legal - unlike some other paths. There should be no reason anyone needs legal advise or an agent for normal extensions of stay if qualified for such and that information should be freely available - as it is on forums and some websites.
  12. For CW the paperwork is easily available as I posted above. In my case ran into lunch hour but on return at 1300 my new extension was in passport as they processed during lunch.
  13. Been there - done that. I extend based on income but have 800k in the associated bank account - so have to make intention known each time that extension is based on income - they then check/underline/initial each of the monthly deposits and use that to confirm method was income. They keep all paperwork and can obtain within minutes when doing next extension to confirm method used (as they had to do that this year as I took few hundred k out of account 2 months after last extension - so at first glance officer believed I was in violation until viewing last years paperwork).
  14. Few years ago found our hospital had given up on hot pots and installed induction boilers of Tefal as below. Sill using and going strong with no cleaning required.
  15. It extends your memory - so if you don't have a lot of video/photos and phone has good amount of storage probably not needed. Only you can decide that - but they do not cost that much so most people will opt to have in any case. Then you have to set up phone to actually use it.
  16. Poster is older than the 80 years that policy requires for entry. If marriage is real that extension should not be difficult - few photos and copies of documents more and a 30 day under review. But a plus is any bank deposit money is available to use 9 months of the year - unlike retirement - and total is less.
  17. From above one might suspect Jomtien? And if Jomtien one might also suspect to check that he still has that 800k in bank (not a one day agent deposit/withdrawal sleight of hand). But that is just a guess.
  18. Believe simple thing is just keep marriage extension - if photos are the issue, rather than an absent wife, expect he could hire someone to take for him and talk with immigration officer might even provide other options at his age.
  19. Indeed that US price seems about what you will find in major hospitals here in Thailand. Be aware multi focal can be problematic so should be done where you will continue to have access. Not sure how many use laser here for cataract removal.
  20. 1. He does not have a valid Non O visa - that was used for entry long ago. 2. His use of agent was to avoid legal requirements for extension of stay - this will be evident when he can not produce bank passbook/statements with 800/400k for the entire prior year. The issue is he is not in the required compliance with 800k being in account all year (with withdrawal to 400k allowed for about 7 months). That in itself will prevent any further extension of stay be it 800k or income on basis of current visa entry without using agent. He must start over if he does not want to use agent. This compliance is being closely checked and he has signed paperwork indicating he knows of this requirement. Have no idea if agent can make the switch to income or not as avoid them totally.
  21. Yes. Wise will provide proof of transfer and information on bank used and you can contact that bank for proof. Or from some reports just provide the Wise receipt if this is just a one off thing.
  22. Actually he said he would not have such a letter - so not sure if Consulate will not provide or he does not have required proof.
  23. We don't have enough information to really know what his status is or what he wants to do at this point. He would seem to have indicated he has made 65k transfers for 12 months "I will use the 65,000 a month Income for 12 months" but then his asking "will using Wise" would work seems to indicate he has not done anything yet. We don't even know nationality yet - maybe he could get a Consulate letter of income. Suspect using agent again might be best course and the next year (with 12 month financials) start income method. But we are blind without further information.
