Possibility for legally doing remote work
ChaiyaTH replied to fruitspunch's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No need for it but if you plan to go on marriage / marriage visa, you actually only need 2 employees for a work permit of which the wife can be one already too. Other than that maybe 2 parttime people like a cleaner or accountant, or family member. This also can have some benefits for your wife to earn money on paper, getting mortgage or car etc. For you at the same time it doesn't have to hurt to have a minimal income via that company aside of still keeping the rest 'offshore'. -
Bangkok makes pact with Moscow to collaborate on 6 aspects
ChaiyaTH replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
I consider myself that well informed, that I certainly not eat US their BS stories anymore, neither the ones from EU or Russia. Gold and silver will do for now. Some people think they are well informed, while in reality I would say they are not, as they still worked their entire life not understanding the real big picture. -
Bangkok makes pact with Moscow to collaborate on 6 aspects

Who cares really Who cares about US or any country and their BS. Nobody does, that is the reality for 95% in Thailand. I care more about the food I will eat today. -
Recreational smoking is legal, there are no requirements to have a medicinal card and buy weed are there. Silly anyway, he speaks about 'it is not for curing mental health' while nobody ever claimed that was the objective. So on and so on and so on. I contradict myself on this too, because I actually use specific Limonene terpene strains to help me with ADD (always busy in the head) and that is way better than ritalin for me. Truth is that can be improved by keeping it legal, studying it, isolating specific things and turning it into a more effective medicines or discovering new things. Whatever they decide, growing would never stop anymore by now, it would then become a black market. No tax income. Makes no sense at all. Who is this guy anyway, why he get press, nobody asked him. Starts to be boring how he selectively cracks down on things, while its obvious he got rich doing enough himself.

So tired of this guy, baseless claims and nonsense while in reality obviously alcohol is a 300X size issue. Also for road deaths on top. You would think someone with so much money and time at least is very well informed, but he totally is not, they all live in little bubbles. Happy days when these dinosaurs stop to exist.

Most websites as usual are always outdated, often even wrong. Or just that a specific embassy or consulate has different rules. Anyway, Dutch passports are one of the best, 45 day on arrival. But hey, what do we even know, she is not 18 but 28, maybe she actually worked on the party islands for 2 years already and did do a dodgy runs / extensions to stay longer + now got trouble she created herself. Many weird things happen down south lol.

I seen this a few times now but the cause for it was often unclear. I do know that during my 2 recent trips to Malaysia over land, you can walk into Thailand, or into Malaysia, so easily at multiple points, without passing by the immigration. You could do that intentional, but if you are with 3 minivan 12 ppl each tour thing, it could happen that you think to be done already after you first 'checked out TH', then checked in + out malay and back inside the van. It confused a few tourist on my minivan too. Normally driver checks this. Another strange thing with one of the guys I see this happen with, was that he actually did have the stamp, he just didn't exist in the database somehow....

BS there is no difference in quality of materials in the 'China version' and 'International version' of these Xiaomi products. Neither is there any issue with the materials, cheap motors or other nonsense you describe. It is the electric connector + software that can either connect to the China (servers) or the International (servers) aside language etc. Oh ok, you bought a cheap outlet strip from China so any Chinese brand is <deleted> quality. Just like all western stuff is made in the same factories. Please come with some actual facts before talking fake stuff based on your biased experience.

What are you talking about? You do not need the app at all, it runs on itself and is not low quality at all. The filter size is also the same as the Philips variant. And just so you know, many of the ten thousand of Xiaomi products, are based on A quality western brands, using the exact same materials. I sell Xiaomi since 4.5 years now, I barely ever have warranty claims nor complaints in general.

Thailand is no longer the Land of smiles.
ChaiyaTH replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I think it is not much about the quantity of foreigners but about the quality of foreigners / tourists. Same how specific tourist areas are always less friendly in cheap busy tourist areas or places like khao san road etc. I'm pretty sure Thailand has always been different since the coup, more or less, not that all is to blame to the coup itself. So I actually do not see a recent change, still plenty of smiles for me. -
I can get his frustration, there is nothing more annoying than drivers who not stay LEFT orientated on the roads, while driving slow. I really do not get this, specially with motorbikes driving on the middle or right side of the lane. And then worse, they not even notice you. I sometime take them over from nearby, driving fast, and then crossing back LEFT aligned on the lane, just hoping them to get the point.

As of so many replies, the OP likely asked this as Makro was originally Dutch, now its owned by CP in Thailand. In Netherlands it is only for business owners, and you actually need to register to get in.

Foreign Tourist Drowns in Strong Waves at Pattaya Sea
ChaiyaTH replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Complete nonsense, it is very easy to drown in the ocean. Even if the water is not that deep, one could get cramps too, I had this once in a normal pool and could barely get to the side. Aside of so many other factors or things that can play, could even get a heart attack while swimming and people just think you drown regular. -
Yeah well if you live with the lowest of lowest + do business in hospitality and tourism, it does not even matter anymore if you work illegal or not, anything you do would be looked at and used against you when the day comes they are tired of you. That is not comparable to normal life or doing some small things as the OP and others describe at all, I think it's complete nonsense to even be worried about stuff like this. Would not even worry a second to fix phones or computers for friends, I help them too. Imagine if you lived like, some people here always claim, with all that is illegal and wrong, and not possible, life would be very simple dull and limited anywhere on earth.

Koh Samui Businesses Call for More Flights to the Island

BS, it is about the fact that Bangkok Airways dominates it and is super expensive. There is more than enough volume, ferries daily are packed to the last seats. -

What you look for in a massage ?
ChaiyaTH replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
If it is a good massage, I enjoy them but most just did this <deleted>ty course or learn it from home, that's not worth it for me. For those tourist and local cheap shops I just would go to get a foot and hand massage, as little can be done wrong with that. To be honest; rarely went to the cheaper shops for a massage, I just wanted to handjob. -
To make it readable using Enter: If you want to obtain a loan with a property (chanote) as guarantee, it seems that the ownership of property has to be transferred to the money lender at the Land Office first. I remember reading on ThaiVisa that it was possible to sign a contract, or maybe add a clause to the Chanote that prevents the property being sold without the permission of the 2nd party, effectively giving the second party control of the property. They can then proceed to lend money using the property as a guarantee. Is this possible or I am I wrong in this? It seems that the cost of making a transfer to obtain a loan plus the cost of re-transferring the property back to the original owner once the loan is paid back would swallow up a large chunk of the property's value. Any advice would be welcome.
