If you look around there is not so much poverty as they claim.. Everybody has work, drives in n ice cars, with many holidays, and crackdown on foreign workers, which are already very difficult to find as work permits and the labour protection prevents people to come and work. and be fair.. there are teachers or classroom assistents who have to work for 8000 THB a month.. No wonder they hardly can get anybody. Last month there was a job available for a foreign teacher, who had to be fully classified and work in a school for 5000 THB a month.. Foreigners will line up for jobs like this. Anyway.. the companies don't want to pay more because of the profit, but with less income and rising prices people can't buy much and the companies are compensating it with higher prices as their profit is most important and people buy less and and so everything is going down and down... The greed will destroy

I am wondering which teacher is promoting using e cigarettes, drugs and alcohol to the students. On the other hand teacher have the duty to inform kids about the dangers of smoking, drinking and drugs and gambling. But with the medieval education program, this kind of teaching is not done, same as education about sex. But the kids need to know and want to know and with no information they go and look for themselves, secretly and that is much worse. But the Government is chasing the e-cigarettes, but I don't read anything about the normal cigarettes which are much unhealthier, and I know that many teacher are smoking e cigarettes too.. But also policemen, military, government officials... So the Government is shouting things and they are not aware what is going on in the country

Let the netizens all fill in the tax forms first.... Most don't pay any tax but can allow expensive cars, holidays, shopping for luxury goods.. Even the youth drive in BMW's and Mercedes... But nobody knows where the money come from. Some people as we could read in the past year had millions in the bank, several houses, and the Revenue department did not know that.. I think there is much more to gain from the netizens, than from the few foreigners.. There will be less and less year after year..Many already are planning to leave or left already.

FRiday evening there was a party somewhere and at 22.30 suddenly they had to turn on the music very loudly... I think the party was a few km from my home, but was clearly to hear when we went to bed.. That is not the first time but this kind of extreme loud music is played in temples and probably the same person who is organizing the parties... I don't understand that people accept this, but in this story it is the the same.. You can ask to silence but Thai people don't care and feel attacked and shoot you... But the RTPO and justice are doing nothing, the police claims they have the right to party and make music and the judges are the same.. But there is a law that limit the number of Db, but nobody follows that, and because of the threating people keep quiet, but I understand very well that one day there will be someone who will shoot this organizer... And I don't even talk about the eardrum damages that are being done.. It is just torture to go to a party.. I never go, and I tell everyone I can hear it in my house so need to go

The RTP is the most incompetent institution in Thailand....Too lazy to do anything, corrupt, and no clue what the real laws are. They all should be investigated person by person, checked their tax form and assets and fired if the administration is not correct. The RTP have an attitude that they are untouchable and behave like that, with their Christmas decorated uniforms...Reform to a working policeforce should be much much better for Thailand

Bravo US.. show Thailand that they can't do as they like and being a part of a Human Right Agency.. If no sanctions are made everything will continue because Thailand don't change anything as they believe they are always right.. Same for the people in jail for violating section 112.. An old outdated law that is used to silence the opposition

Here then police can fine everybody for not following the Thai law.. just as inproper clothing like bikini or no T shirts, drinking beer and posting on facebook as crime to promote alcohol and many more stupid laws. that are invented or will be invented, as we once saw in Pattaya where tourists were fine form playing darts, and the owner of the bar did not have a dart license ( which doesn't exists)... They are doing a crackdown as we could read...also for inpropriate behavior... I was told that speaking loudly was not done in Thailand.. How will they act with screaming youth who have fun??

I don't like to ride to Bangkok as they are constructing the elevated road.. Always scared that something falls down or that you get crushed. It is not the first accident that happens here and will not be the last. Safety for the workers and the traffic is far from safe, and now they have to rush to finish the project.. Sad that lives are lost, people get injured and maybe never able to work anymore, and nobody will be held responsible for it..Thailand....

A very welcoming message for tourism in Thailand.... Not clear what is inappropriate behavior??? not wearing a Tshirt and being blacklisted and deported? Smoking on the street? Not wearing helmets on motorcycles?? Are all Thais in Pai angels and have a good behavior too and are they fined too for sound pollution or things like that?? For me it seems this is again an action against foreigners, as Thais could do what they want..So the easiest way is avoid the place..Tourism will be dying and the locals don't earn again and things will get back to normal... And than they start to complain again

Not only they condemn the Uyghur deportation but also the prisoners who violated section 112 ..I think that is a good move. as this law is outdated, and abused and surely not conform the Human Rights.

The problem is they never rest or can rest.. if there is a party or karaoke bar somewhere they hardly can sleep, because of the heat they wake up early ... look at markets very early and in daytime you see everywhere people sleep at their merchandise .. just because they are too tired... And if they drive a car they can't rest too but will drink some Red Bull or other stuff to stay awake, and than the body in resisting and accidents happens... It is a cultural thing that need an urgent change to protect people..

It is no time to to travel.. Many scientists have proved that the most dangerous time is around 4 am ..... But here in Thailand there is a 24 hrs economy that has no rules, no awareness of safety and no driving skills...Just read todays Aseannow page... full of accidents, people driving while tired, or not paying attention for whatever reason, and speeding...

In Thailand it is common to use violence.... at home parents/brothers/sisters/grandparents/ everybody is beating everybody for nothing. In schools kids are being beaten with sticks and rulers for minor offences, and the RTP use a lot of violence too same as in the army and everybody know that... So when violence is normal in Thailand how can you expect that there would be other solutions to solve a conflicts.. Beat it is the first reaction... ( another example is the article of the elderly couple in Hua Hin about a land dispute) And I just read that in prison beating is normal too...

Now I am wondering when the people don't accept the peanuts they earn anymore.. If you see how the prices are rising.. in France Marie Antoinette said " let them eat cake", as the people were starving and that triggered the revolution....

Thai justice... happily no jail term because you defended yourself.. Youngsters against two old people in a country that preach and learn kids to respect the elderly and even the British man should know better as violence is never a good way to solve conflicts. And a good promotion not to retire in Thailand .... Stupidity of Thailand without borders..

The labour ministry should abandon the old labour protection laws.. Enter the 21st century and don't protect everything. If people are willing to work let them do so if they are qualified.. Everybody knows that Thai education is very poor and with a free labour market, things will change.. foreign tourguides are only permitted to do administration instead guiding tours as that is a privilege of only Thais as an example... So Thai people learn foreign languages if you want to prevent that foreigners are guiding.. You are doing the same on tours to Europe.. Than a Thai tourguide is guiding the group too and no workpermit needed.. as an example. Conservatism and protectionism will keep the country back

It is always good to help someone, but what should a foreigner do when he/she can help someone in need?? The Thai laws are so strict that maybe you could get prosecuted for doing something without a workpermit. I know it will not happen but currently the RTP is so strict that I think I would not do it... Although I have a paramedical background , suppose the person you helped will or can not survive...

I am wondering if all suspicion deaths in prison are being investigated the same, as the Government told that everybody get the same treatment.. But because now an ex police officers with money( who know how he got that) is death, the whole country is shaken up... Just one criminal less....
