  1. Where in Thailand? There are many, many, many, many, many variations based on location. I assume you used your UK vaccination status to enter Thailand? Sandbox, test & go, quarantine. The current government booster recommendation here for AZ 2X is Pfizer 1X, now given at as few as three months (although they're sticking to the 31 July cut-off still, that will move soon obviously). Moderna (full or half, not sure half is given here) may be a paid alternative. See the secondary market for immediate needs. If in Bangkok you could try a walk-in at Bang Sue armed with all your UK/Thailand Test&Go paperwork. They may reject you (UK doses)?
  2. And you're planning on relocating to Thailand? Your probably going to want/need a new phone. I can recommend a Pixel 6. Did you want to bring/use your Moto Z4? What is the EXACT model number? XT-???? Stop worrying about SIM size. A nano SIM is fine. I'd stick with normal physical SIMs and avoid eSIMs. If you want to get an eSIM once in Thailand for a local provider that is fine. Get UltraMobile, activate it and set up/test WiFi calling. Get USMobile too, belt/suspenders. Maybe consider porting your Verizon number out, to Google Voice or UltraMobile or USMobile? Buy a couple of FIDO keys: Yubico or Google/Titan. Set those up, familiarize yourself with their use. I think for USMobile - I have no experience with them but they've been positively reviewed here - you'd simply build your own plan and then enable WiFi calling. You can test this obviously. https://www.usmobile.com/plans scroll down. minutes, test and data. 75 minutes $2, 100 mb data $2 - neither are necessary but good to have IMO. and 100 texts $2
  3. OK, found some detail: https://news.yahoo.com/lucky-alive-nypd-looking-suspect-230907503.html
  4. Well if you can edumacate the kids and make them smart you might as well try making a city "smart". The logo part is easy. The committee formation part is easy. GEtting anything done? MEh, not a local strong suit. This one has the stench of failure. But let's revisit in a few years.
  5. Choose a phone which supports WiFi calling. This can be determined by looking at the features of a particular model. Maybe your current model supports WiFi calling? Define "Cheapy". GSM and WiFi yes. CDMA, no. SIM size, contrary to what some say, does NOT matter. No. UltraMobile SIMs come as 3 way. Yes, you'll need a phone which works in the U.S. in order to activate it. You could borrow one if your current model doesn't work, although it should. Make/model? No clue what you're on about here. Android? Contacts are backed up, automagically. Some/many sites allow you to use multiple numbers for 2FA. On BofA for example I have three. Where do you live? Do you spend time in both Thailand and the U.S.? What are you trying to do? What phone do you have?
  6. Top up, or use app or use web or USSD codes:
  7. Yes, it does. https://www.bangkokair.com/baggage-allowance Yeah, good luck with that.
  8. Jeez, the 1980's called looking for you. These days most info is provided via this interwebs thingy. Bangkok Airways (PG) has three fare buckets for BKK-PNH: Web Promotion, Web Saver and Web Freedom. All three show 20 Kg baggage allowance. Extra bag: https://www.bangkokair.com/baggage-allowance Just do a dummy booking. But I do see this: Free baggage allowance is extended to 30kgs for Economy Class and 50kgs for Business class traveling until 26 March 2022
  9. When you say SMS, what do you mean, exactly? Are you receiving unsolicited SMSes now? From DTAC? In Thai? Or are you sending USSD inquiries to DTAC? For inquiries simply append the code with *9#, and the result will return in English. So *121*9# Send returns balance and expiry in English. Or you can use the app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=th.co.crie.tron2.android Go into Profile, top left icon, Select Receipt Option SMS, toggle SMS language to English Or go to https://www.dtac.co.th/en/mydtac/login.html log in with OTP via SMS Go into mydtac, upper left, Setting, Receipt Option, Click on SMS, Toggle SMS language to English. Seems like you should be able to do this via IVR or USSD but I couldn't find it.
  10. I've been buying Windows and MS Office licenses from these guys recently https://pixelcodes.com/?s=windows+10&post_type=product I buy retail keys, the phone activation is, IMO, best avoided. It can be done, just takes a long time. I usually get a key within an hour or so.
  11. Does it really say that? My take on those four option lower left, refer to options 1, 2, 3 & 4 as for those who have NOT yet received ANY vaccines, and that they can choose one of the four options. The one above that section mentions 2x AZ, and getting Pfizer as a booster (at 90 days). So not what the OP was asking.
  12. Sorry, I pasted the wrong thread link after my initial search https://aseannow.com/topic/1106651-completing-tm30-form/ I guess you could just go to your new Imm office and complete the form with their guidance? The assumption is that you are self-reporting, so you'd use the same address 2X. In many cases it's a landlord at a different address reporting the alien at the new address, hence to the two entries. Of for the filer, one for the filee.
  13. Yes, this new system is so much better. ???? I prefer the quick rejection, leaving time to mail in.
  14. I think the thai moph/ddc recommendation for 2x AZ is one Pfizer booster at 3-6 months. You could probably get a Pfizer booster now, at Bang Sue, Fashion Island or Asiatique. Although the current cut-off is 31 July. But I think you could get a booster now. I might do a walk-in at Bang Sue, armed with all your paperwork.
  15. My vaguest recollection is that your new address goes into BOTH areas. https://aseannow.com/topic/954624-fill-in-example-of-tm30-form/
  16. Bless your heart, you think these will be operated at some point. Shuffle these off with the fire trucks and boats.
  17. Oddly reminiscent of the "White Elephant". Someone thought that this was a good idea. Was it some brilliant mind at SRT - that black-hole of cash? And where is Chidchob? He should be out in front of this if it's such a wonderful idea? His absence is telling. From an article when this "deal" as first annoucned: Later on Thursday, the SRT announced that Deugro Projects (Thailand) Co. had been selected to ship the 17 donated trains to the kingdom, explaining that the amount included import and value-added taxes.
  18. The thai tourism model is based on high-volume, low-price. Changing that will take years, and a concerted effort, neither of which are thai attributes. When the 10 mm zero-dollar chinese tourists come a knockin' what will they do? Turn them away or load up the shrimp buffet.
  19. Yours is but the third or fourth successfully approved filing on the new system for Bangkok that i recall here or on FB. Hopefully your early submittal, and quick approval portends good fortune for others going forward. Eventually, you've got to think, they'll get this right? Right?
  20. My BBL complaints: Everything has to be done at your branch. (SCB allows you to do most things at any branch). Getting a new passbook involves at massive document dump, dozens of signatures, even more garuda stamps and on average 15 minutes. Changing anything, like phone number or address also requires a similar deep dive into the thai penchant for paperwork. The people at my branch know me, and are very helpful (esp. at extension time), and keeping multiple accounts is prudent, IMO. I guess I'm just inured to the follies and foibles after 20-ish years.
  21. Yes, but the initial focus is on those with sinostuff or AZ 2X (or some combo). Not that many people with Pfizer 2X, most fairly recent. The OP was specifically asking about Pfizer 2X. My guess is that they'll start to offer a Pfizer booster for Pfizer 2X fairly soon. Just need to figure out the locations, process.
  22. The thai "legal" system summarized in seven words.
  23. When did you get your second AZ dose? Where? Some recent *local, thai, moph/ddc) recommendation include Pfizer and Moderna at 3 - 6 months.
  24. "Train-wreck" seems appropriate for this fiasco. Critics have been harsh since this "donation" was announced back in September. We were told that the decision to accept these was "not political". Which means it was.
