  1. but this 15-18k is private. The governmental rather a fraction of that
  2. as I have explained, any direct importer (and exporter, for example Saudi Arabia - as I have red) can mix russian oil to volume 49% with oil originating from somewhere else, to not declare origin of that smaller part. Extra profit to be made is some 25%, so very tempting to some. That is fact and it's you who are ranting
  3. the last update is from May, for 1st June rules. Much changed since then.
  4. with so low vax rate in africa, it would be a depository of covid for a long time. If not migrant workers and incoming famine refugees, it would be tourists, taking with them new strains to home countries
  5. " is that a small price to pay against the possibility of an impending WWIII?" How thailand now stop buying oil from russia could influence world war? Russia has some 8000 nuclear warheads, and they are not making them anymore, they have more than enough to kill the world 10x over. Similarly to the USA nuclear potential. Thailand, and so many countries around the world (that including the USA) are still buying oil and gas from russia. Some traders just mix russian oil below 50% with oil from some other producer - so it's not russian anymore. Russian crude oil is $30 cheaper now, that the Brent, which is trading at $110. That is some 27% cheaper. That price difference will only grow, as europe is contracting now from the Saudi Arabia regime. Rich europe can outbid poorer thailand (and so many other poor countries) from OPEC oil. Unfortunately, all arab countries in OPEC are authoritarian regimes in par with Russia on human rights
  6. he has also murdered in road accident the very billionaire Chuwong sae Tang, from whom he stole earlier 250mln in shares. Sentenced to death, later reduced to live in January 2021. https://www.nationthailand.com/in-focus/30401525 including his own wife, that would be 3 murders all done in a similar fashion. Serving as a senior traffic police officer gave him some ideas to play. His former wife couldn't drive a car, yet she was found dead in a driver seat, with Banyin in passenger seat just slightly injured He was in Phua Thai government in 2008. What was his competence to get that ministerial post?
  7. that's fault of insurance companies that they didn't do their job properly. Still, they can re-asses all claims and take money back, prosecute. They will have money to pay for so many claims which were declined
  8. so dr Anutin was positive 8 days ago, but decided that his self-quarantine is not important and went to a large public gathering
  9. the sooner you buy the cheaper it would be. Check the cheapest fares on monthly comparison charts. From september to december. Just recently I have seen europe in september for 23k baht. If you are flexible with timing, layover time, and chose large airports within some 500km from your destination (that distance you can cover by train in some 5h and below e100 per trip)
  10. russian crude oil is some 27% below market price. and it will be falling, possibly down to 50%. The way private importers are getting over sanctions is mixing russian oil in below 50% with oil from any other country. Thailand has only 10% of gas and oil from their own sea fields. But they have huge oversupply of electricity from Laos hydro plants. Still, they need oil for cars and chemical industry. If OPEC will divert the majority of it's production to Europe, the poor countries, like Thailand, will be out priced by the year's end. Germany will pay any price to OPEC. "Asian buyers also welcomed the “opportunity” to buy Russian crude oil at discounted prices: the main product, known as Urals, used to sell at around US$1 per barrel below Brent, but the gap is currently over US$30" https://theconversation.com/russias-oil-is-in-long-term-decline-and-the-war-has-only-added-to-the-problem-186167
  11. ok, the next wave, I think the 6th. Catching up with europe, just with a few weeks delay
  12. " total of over 1,978,000 foreign visitors entering Thailand between January 1 to June 28, generating total revenue of around 114 billion baht. Total arrivals should number around 9.32 million, generating revenue of around 1.27 trillion baht." this revenue not to be believed - 3.5x jump in arrivals in the second part of year suppose to generate some 10x jump in revenue. That would mean that those tourists would spend 3x more than previously. Would they stay 3x longer? I don't think so. It's constant 10-20 days holidays. I would think hotel prices will rise some 10-20% at the very end of year, at high season. But they are not rising now yet, until end of rainy season. That's when domestic tourism kicks in on a larger scale.
  13. they have rushed with unmasking on public transport. Others countries, like germany, keep it all the time. There is large chance masking will come back to europe sometimes this month. There won't lock down, but some other measures. New european wave is caused by summer international travel. The next one would be winter one. Looks, like 2-3 waves per year are likely in europe. Not sure about thailand, which is more isolated from the world, than europe without internal borders and large, mobile population
  14. still possible to find flights to europe in a few selected days and for short 1 week stays for around 40k baht. Have to be flexible with hours, some flights might also have long layovers. European high season in aviation came early this year, from the beginning of June. Prices will be rising also the next month. But from the beginning of September back to around normal pre-summer 25-30k. But if there would be the next wave in Thailand, I think many booking cancellations and chance for air fare at short notice
  15. go back to cambo, even over a green border. Must have some relatives remaining there which would help to speed up process. But even neighbours, village headman can testify. As the last resort DNA testing with parents, siblings, closest relatives.. Probably anything in cambo is possible for the right price. But also carries risk, so not worth. What if passport is fake and some smarter IO spots it on any border in the world? Probably by now all new issued passes do have biometric chip, that can't be faked.
  16. thank you for telling me, but I don't buy your cheap propaganda, fed to you by skilled imperialists, monarchists and apologists for murder and oppression. Those murderers are dead now, I judge them. Very few of them were judged before they have died. Your "best thing to happen to the whole world since the Romans" repeated twice sounds as a slogan from advert for tacky commercial product, it is just humorous. Nobody takes such statement seriously, it has comedy value. When talking about mass murder, in hundred million, you should be more serious, to be taken seriously. By the way - roman empire was also based on murder and oppression. As all empires. Talking about true history, beyond school handbooks prepared by the ministry of brainwashing kids into state slaves, digging up state secrets should be done. Even to improve understanding between countries and give chance for diplomacy and mutual respect. That process speed up within the recent years, with politicians and parliament apologising for atrocities. 100mln murdered is not an exaggeration. Count in those who died during imperial wars, including 2 world wars - there were not only brits, but soldiers from all colonies. The next european war is coming - cooked up by Johnson and supporting him armament industry https://listverse.com/2014/02/04/10-evil-crimes-of-the-british-empire/
  17. Is anybody aware if any expat clubs still offering group buy insurance? I have come across in archived posts about such clubs in pattaya, hua hin and chiang mai offering 20% on selected policies. For some 400b yearly membership might be worth saving thousands. Has anybody got an experience or opinion? In one comment I have also read, that because members of those clubs are mainly seniors, he was out priced, above expected yearly increase. Not sure if his observation was correct. I am in bangkok and haven't come across such club with discounted insurance, so probably will have to register in pattay
  18. never heard that expression, but probably exists that, or very similar, in any language. Just nationalistic jingoism, good for maintaining social and political order, and for motivating troops to fight against other soldiers fed the same swill - for the pure benefit of the ruling class. The UK is the second global arms dealer. Any war, anywhere, is good for them. Even, if they have to send their own troops as a cannon fodder - still, a lot of money to be made on their death. New soldiers, those recruits from unemployed, poor council estates (including those in scotland and ireland), will be born and slaughtered. Johnson will fight for their global market share to the last dead soldier. Even better, if they are Ukrainian nationalists. Britain has their own imperial soldiers heroes. Ukrain has Bandera neo-fascist heroes. https://caat.org.uk/news/new-stats-show-uk-government-is-the-second-biggest-arms-dealer-in-the-world/
  19. Tell this good news to those hundred millions souls killed during conquering and maintaining empire and through constant wars with the other empires. Starting with scotland and ireland, to american indians, australian aborigins, slavery trade, opium trade, african concentration camps, to two world wars (yes, they were also part of maintaining an empire). For the last 70 years maintaining post-imperial order. Including wars, arms trade, cold war. why boris went twice to kiyev in secret talks and within short time? Why just one courtesy visit was not enough? why not much more convenient video conferences, phone calls - as the rest of diplomacy is done in a war torn country. Thats to sell/exchange arms and military aid for ukrainian food. And he didn't want to be recorded, taped or overheard in yet another scandal. there would be many more atrocities with participation of the british government and its arms diplomacy. Most of the victims would be ukrainians themselves, escalation into neighbouring countries and european war https://www.justiceinfo.net/en/79636-colonial-crimes-the-empire-on-which-justice-almost-never-sets.html https://www.theguardian.com/news/2016/aug/18/uncovering-truth-british-empire-caroline-elkins-mau-mau
  20. there should be most sellers doing it for the old price, till they have to restock
  21. whipping creams in makro around 200b/litre. Once I came across 30% cream, which was discounted 50% just before expiry. You can put into small 50-100ml bottles/containers and freeze
  22. olive makro 5 litres bottles Sabrosso italy some 850b special price. all for related https://aseannow.com/forum/82-food-in-thailand/
  23. car petrol/diesel conversion to gas is only 25k, pays back within a year. All supermarkets do have yellow sticker food sale, usually half price, sometimes more. You need large fridge and freezer to store them, and you don't need to do shopping to often, saving time. Also all supermarkets have online shopping, with free delivery over 3k. Buying on lazada/shopee for all kind of goods, including food, is always cheaper, and more convenient.
  24. or revival of the british empire and colonial appetites somewhere towards ukraine and eastwards. The UK needs cheap grains, foods, and expansion of their export markets after leaving the eu and european economic area
