  1. The point of some comments is to suggest that the OP is embellishing his story, modern cars with ABS do not lock-up their brakes so why would he say that's what happened? Also, as another poster has indicated the OP appeared, from his own "story", to have been driving well over the speed limit at that location!
  2. So you admonish him for giving you the finger but it's ok for you to stop alongside him and escalate the situation by "giving him an ear-bashing". One rule for you and another for him, eh? Do you have some kind of authority to enforce the laws and driving standards and give directives to other road users?
  3. Really? What do you drive that doesn't have anti-lock brakes in 2022?!
  4. Wow, O-level English Language, such a fine qualification for a native-English speaker! What grade did you achieve, professor?
  5. It doesn't matter what their drinks cabinets look like or whether it's common knowledge that they all drink, no one is banning alcohol consumption in general, just at specified organised Songkran events.
  6. Exactly, out of her area of expertise, but that didn't stop her from saying they worked, an action that put the lives of soldiers in danger. Who's disputing that? I'm not, but, regardless, that misjudgement, also made by many other people (she wasn't the only one), doesn't alter her experience and reputation as a forensic pathologist.
  7. She demanded the 30mil So what, did she get it or did she just get an offer? She's not in control over who gives her money regardless of whether she "demanded" it!
  8. So what? You're not the only person reading this thread. So what? I'll tell you what. You responded to, and quoted, a comment of mine so it's not unreasonable for me to presume that your were addressing me, hence my reply If you want to address the forum in general, not me, don't quote my comments in your post!
  9. I'm sure they see you coming a mile away. If you ever make it to Thailand you'll need to be awares. I've seen to many people like you loose everything to simple scams. Thanks for confirming that, as I suspected, you have no idea what that itemised bill specifically says. I am here, been here for decades and you have not "seen many people like me" as I have never been scammed here. I don't need to take much notice of the generally speculative and inaccurate garbage that is regularly posted anonymously on forums in Thailand, I'm quite capable of forming conclusions based on actual evidence that I have personally seen or experienced.
  10. Download their apps. They list all the outlets and the rates at each one. Why? I know where their shops are and how the rates (hardly) vary between them, I've dealt with their head office for a number of years.
  11. Proven track record? This is the woman who said the fake mine detectors worked despite having never even examined one of them. Yes, she does have a proven forensic pathology track record but well done on pointing out just one thing, out of her area of expertise, that she (and many others at the time) erred on. How did the rest of her forensic career go, anything else you'd like to pull her up on?
  12. Its says COVID treatment. All they did was dispense over priced para then sent them home. Can you read the article before spouting nonsense. I don't believe that you translated that itemised bill! There are two lines of narrative alongside the itemised B10k that I'd guess, probably, says more than just "Covid treatment". By the way, what gave you the idea that it says "COVID treatment", it doesn't say that in the OP, have you seen it somewhere else? To use your own not-so-well-chosen words, "can you read the article before spouting nonsense?".
  13. Itemized. You don't put on a bill: Fixed broken car 10,000 baht. The reason it's not itemized properly is because its a scam. What was the specific description that was clearly shown in the photo notated on their bills for the B10k item that you, obviously, must have translated?
  14. The para was B59, not B40k, the other item on each of the four bills was B10,000 for each of the individual patients.
  15. The family forgot to mention that the bill also covered four doctor's certificates in addition to the Covid investigations.
  16. Four bills of B10,059 per person, not a single patient's bill for B40k+, that's a bit easier to take.
  17. Their four bills did also, as clearly shown in the photo, one item at B10,000 another at B59.
  18. The family (of four) weren't at a 7-11, they were at a hospital for four Covid checks where paracetamol is charged at B59.
  19. He definitely wasn't the girls father, that would surely have been mentioned in the article and the link where it referred to the family and neighbours chasing the attacker off.
  20. What was actually noticeable was that the report stated that the girl was inside the yard and that the gate was unlocked, it did not say that the gate was open. There's no way that you could ever know whether the 3-year old could have opened the (at least) 5-foot high steel gate, never mind "wandered into the path of a motorcycle maniac" (what?). I'm surprised that you didn't also notice that there were adults there who intervened who could have curtailed the wandering tendency that you seem to think she had, she was not on her own or left to her own "wandering" self-devices.
  21. There are a number of Superrich outlets in the sois opposite Central, the orange, green shops and the blue head office so if there's a queue in one there are alternatives.
