  1. Is it really worth having such a vehicle. Cheaper to hire one. Is it really worth someone having a personal choice?
  2. Thais? It's just as annoying when foreigners do the same thing. I'd be surprised if any nationality deliberately leaves screws in the road, what use would anyone have, generally, for screws on a road? They probably get there by being picked up, inadvertently, by tyre treads in places such as home driveways, garages, business/workshop premises, etc. and then drop out onto the road to be picked up by other vehicles.
  3. Norway for one Mixing tyre brands is illegal in Norway, or not advised?
  4. 100kph (62mph!), absolutely safe, unless there's something wrong with the tyres. Are there any tyres that aren't rated for 100kph!? Since when are normal, consumer-bought tyres rated as "rain" or dry tyres, this isn't F1! How is a tyre's "traction rating" shown on the tyre (no one mixes off-road tyres with ordinary tyres, so that's not an issue)?
  5. There is no mention of quality . I know that there isn't but there is as far as some posters here are concerned! "Chinese rubbish" and all that similar garbage sentiment.
  6. Massively more! Talk about farting through silk! What is the "H & L Bank" [sic], isn't it the LH Bank?
  7. Not all the agents use the same bank! IB is "used to" all the Thai banks.
  8. There isn't, checked yesterday. Even if there was a money laundering query he be able to show where the cash came from with the withdrawal shown in his passbook.
  9. Neither of those links state that Sinovac was not approved, or of dubious quality, as so many posters are trying to say. The links refer to the mix of vaccines after the AZ booster as not being acceptable. Sinovac is fully approved by Switzerland for entry to the country.
  10. Has he contracted, been hospitalised or died from Covid as a result of receiving Sinovac? No, obviously, he hasn't, neither have millions of others. Have thousands died after being vaccinated by the "far better stuff" that you refer to? Er, yes. So much for your "rubbish" vaccine claim.
  11. Yes it was. You think he forgot his passport. Jeeez. Jeez...no, it wasn't. It's very easy to check which vaccines Switzerland has approved, why don't you try it?!
  12. So, pray tell - why was he denied entry? The fact that 2 Sinovac and one booster of Astrazeneca were not deemed "sufficient" would seem to indicate that:- (a) One or the other is lacking in "quality", or (b) The Minister of Health for Thailand should have known the requirements before travelling. Why don't you just search the requirements for entry into Switzerland and then stop promulgating the false assertion that Switzerland considers the Sino vacs as "insufficient" for entry or "lacking in quality"? As for why he didn't go, ask him, no one here will know the reason for that but it's easy for everyone here to check if Switzerland has approved Sinovac and Sinopharm.
  13. Correct. Correct, it was nothing to do with the quality of his vaccinations being unacceptable.
  14. So why was he denied a visa? Nothing to do with the fact that the vaccines that he had taken were not acceptable/good enough for him to be granted one for that particular conference/country? If Switzerland was concerned about the quality of Sinovac and Sinopharm why do they list them as approved vaccines for entry to the country just as Pfizer, Moderna AZ, J&J, etc. are similarly approved?
  15. Nothing to do with Covid "safety", suspending direct flights was a commercial decision, BA still has flights to Bangkok!
  16. Yes, 2022 is 14 days from now. Or perhaps you're referring to an insignificant and easily understood typo (or error in a translation) from a Thai language report?
  17. Possibly you missed the report that Thailand would not be buying more of those (albeit fully approved) vaccines after existing stocks expired.
  18. Nonsense, all his vaccinations were done with Swiss-approved vaccines. that includes Sinovac and Sinopharm.
  19. Will have NO effect, as it only affects CASH deposits, due money-laundering rules. Not even that!
  20. Just to ease all the apparent fear (and dispel any fear-mongering here) KTB officially has no maximum limit on the amount of cash, per transaction, that can be deposited over the counter into a personal, or third party, account. Neither has Bangkok Bank. Neither has Krungsri. Neither has Kasikorn. Neither has UOB. I know this because (of this thread) I just called my banks and asked them, specifically.
  21. Only direct flights have been cancelled, they offer alternatives.
