@gomangosteen you did the minivan this week to Ban Pakard or a few years ago?
-
Thanks for the replies. It's my first time going through this process and I must have misunderstood a conversation I had with somebody about the process of doing the first 90-day report after doing a new retirement Visa
-
Good afternoon
AFAIK Changwattana requires the first 90-day report to be done in person. I am on a Non-O Retirement.
Anyone done recently and could confirm what documents are required? Do I need to get a new Statement of Deposit from my bank or just copy all relevant pages in my bank book.
Each immigration office has its own requirements and so this is specific to Changwattana.
Thanks

@khunPer @Tropicalevo thanks for all the advice. It's not a dream come through for me just my partner is considering a job offer and I'm flexible. I like nature and quiet and not into the party scene. Basic needs well met by Tesco or Big C.
We will read what you've written over a cup of coffee and appreciate your kindness

@MrJ2U what type of box? One specific for a TV?
-
Hi
Has any member sent a flat screen TV from one province to another in Thailand?
Which courier service did you use and why did you get the packing box?
I don't need a list of logistic companies that you 'think' might do it or may do it. Obviously logistic company send TV via Shopee and Lazada, but this is different from when it's non-commercial.
Thanks

Hi TV Members
Any companies you would recommend? It is for a one way Bangkok to Ko Samui for a simple compact car with back seats that can fold relatively flat.
Thanks
-
Hi
We have maybe 70-100kg of personal effects, the most awkward being a Flat screen TV. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Kerry are not shipping to K Samui at the moment.
Thanks

Hi to Ko Samui residents
I'm not new to Thailand but will soon be new to Ko Samui. I have a few questions and hopefully, you may be able to offer some advice.
Buying a Honda Click - Any suggestions where on the island or better to buy at Surat Thani
Accommodation - Bophut area ish. Budget 5k - We are two people and wondering what we might get for that - Ideally a separate bedroom and a living room come kitchen. I like a coffee on my balcony or in a shared garden I know vague but ...
Any negatives about Ko Samui that you might care to mention - Can DM if you prefer.
Immigration - I'm on my first Retirement Visa. How is Samui IO? - Can DM if you prefer.

@userabcd @tomazbodner big thanks for the relevant replies.
-
@DrJack54 I appreciate you eagerness to try to help but a renewal of an existing Thai DL is far removed from applying for the first license. But thanks for the effort.
-
@userabcd I could register on the app as a foreigner using a passport. The issue seems to be no vacancies.
Why do you think foreigners can't make a booking on line?
Did you recently do it at Mor Chit?
-
@ThailandRyan thanks for the info. Would you mind posting the link to the report? Not so easy to find
-
Not sure if anyone can help, but I am looking at the DLT app for appointments and there are non available for Mor Chit/Chatachuak for the next few months.
Anyone recently been able to make a booking for this site or did you just go to DLT Mor Chit and apply?
What was your experience at DLT Mor Chit?
Thanks for you help and kindness
-
@richard_smith237 If DrJacks experience was recent I would have a few follow up questions. There is nothing shameful in saying I haven't done it recently or ever, it's just something I have read on line.
I sent you a DM.
-
@DrJack54 is your reply based on recent personal experience at DLT Mor Chit or you are just replying to every OP?
-
Hi
Anyone recently done at DLT Mor Chit.
I already have a License from my home country. What's the requirements? Do I get my original Driving License back or its retained?
What is the cost and process for A letter of residence or address certified by the Immigration Bureau?
Thanks
-
-
@richard_smith237 Bangkok. I didn't mention my domicile as I was assuming most answers would be directed online.
Thanks for the reply. Could you be more specific with the model and make you are recommending.

Hi
Any member have a suggestion where to get a simple chocolate bar phone which will be used whilst exercising at a local park, ie just for phone calls
Nokia 110 but hopefully around B500 or so.
Thanks
Ps I have a smart phone but wrong size for my exercise shorts and don't want to carry a pouch

Good afternoon
What's required at Changwattana for a re-entry permit?
Thanks
-
Hi
Has any member recently got a statement of deposit from Kasikorn at the Government Complex which houses Immigration.
The question is very specific so please try your best not to reply if it's not specific to this branch.

Hi
Anyone recently used a shared taxi from Ban Pakard/Phsa Prum, Poipet or Ban Laem/Daun Lem to Battambang?
Any information would be appreciated. Cost, how long a wait etc....
Thanks

AFAIK the minivans are not running since Covid. Sometimes people post enthusiastically without realizing that the information might be a little bit old.
If you have a helpful Thai friend or receptionist maybe get them to call the numbers below to see if the minivan to the border is running. If you're new to Thailand or Asia you will have to explain that you're looking for the schedule (to and from the border) and where they depart from (Chantaburi and border).
Ban Phakkat :ช่อง ผักกาด
1. 081-9826284, 081-3998025
2. 085-1162335, 086-8237455
3. 084-6488867
Before covid (about 3.5 years ago, when I last did) the minivans departed from behind Robinson, and over a white Bridge (Saphan Chang Hua)
