Hi
Any TV member have a recommendation for Mexican Flat Bread (wraps) easily purchased in bangkok.
I have been using Mission Wraps which are so/so and Danitas.
for the older TV members - I'm not really interested in what you used to eat back home in xxx-land, just what's available in Thailand.
Keep safe

Thanks for all the replies

Thanks for all your amazing answers. Would you mind expanding on the induction pan models which you bought in Thailand and are recommending. Its ok, if you haven't actually got a model to recommend, just move onto the next topic in the Form.

Hi
Anyone have a recommendation for a frying pan for an induction cooker which they bought in Thailand.
For the older members, induction cookers work only with pans that are designed for induction cooking.
Keep safe and thanks.

I guess you are a non smoker and hate smokers I used to smoke all my life (started at 15) and smoked till my 70th birthday I gave up because of the cost not for health reason. So is smoking is so bad for you how come I am still alive? And don't give me that <deleted> about 2nd hand smoke.
@Meat Pie 47 `I guess you are a non smoker and hate smokers'
It's not about hate. It's about how do we live together in a confined space. I like music but I would be considerate with the volume. I wouldn't even think about not using headphones on a train/plane etc...
When we have the occasional party, I and my partner would let the neighbours know and it would end at 10pm even though most would have liked to continued on .
Thankfully the days are long gone when someone could plead ignorance over the health effects of second hand smoking.
I've been very fortunate in the places I have lived over the years. There was only one inconsiderate Thai who likes to smoke on his balcony and then lie about doing it. Management asked him to leave after two months.
The positives from this thread is that 98%+ of the postings are not about hate but about how to be considerate and socially polite. People 'rights' often come into conflict. The issue is how do we resolve them. Who's rights prevail in this situation, the smokers right to cause inconvenience, ill health and the lingering nasty smell of tobacco, or .....

Sitting in front of my house I get full blast of smoke when my neighbors light up and even my bathroom fills up with smoke. However I also get full blast of cooking smells, car and bike exhausts and drain smells. Can't avoid smells in a hot country where people live outdoors. If I can't stand the smells I go inside as your neighbor should.
@chilly07are you sure you really don't understand about the damage caused by second hand smoking?

Hi
We will be relocating from BKK to Phuket within the next few months. Do any TV member have a recent experience with moving around 60-100kg of personal belongings Inc a TV, desktop fans, etc..
The non breakables maybe will be sent by Thai post (clothes etc..)
I rather not rent a car/truck. Any suggestions based on actual experience.
Thanks

Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated.

@Iron Tonguethanks. Covid 19 isn't the best time to be shipping from overseas. That's why I was wondering if any member had local knowledge. But thanks for the suggestion.

@cmarshall and did you find anything useful when you did the search?

Hi
Any member know where to get an
Amazon Echo 4th generation in Bangkok, other than Lazada or Shoppee.
Not the Amazon Echo Dot.
Thanks

You can add DTAC customer service via line and share a screen grab with them. I got a refund when it happened a few years back and they also changed the settings on my account to prohibit such SMS.
They did claim that I must have subscribed or inadvertently click a link. Both seemed unlikely.

Hi
Next week I will apply for my 2nd, 60 day permission to stay at MTT (Counter K).
Other than passport detail page, TM card, what else needs to be photocopied?
Thanks

@ubonjoe@Phoenixsun28 You need to make an appointment on line. I had one and so cant confirm how strict they are being. I did see a few Burmese being sent away with a note advising how to make the online appointment.
I have an under-consideration stamp with a Nov 9 date. I asked and was advised that I need to make an appointment for this. As its painless to do online, I didn't confirm the accuracy of the information with two or three other IO.

It's from the carpark beside Mor Chit BTS station. Takes around 40mins. If u don't speak basic Thai get a friend to write if for u in Thai. Every 10 mins or so. Final stop is 1km from Immigration.

I posted it so thoss who are worried could hopefully find it useful. Why try to derail the OP with non relevant issues. Minivan is 36 baht from Not Chit BTS to MTT.

Hi
I am on a visa exempt entry from last February. Its has been extended once by 30 days and then using an Embassy letter for the first 'Visa Amnesty'. Does any member have a good experience recently at MTT getting the 60 day extension? I have an appointment for Monday.
I'd appreciate if you could be specific wrt the Immigration Office you went to and if its something you read on line or personally experienced.
Thanks and keep safe.

IF you have paid with a European cc or debit-card, contact your bank. I use an N26 and got two refunds from two different Thai Airlines within 6 days. The supplier had 20 days to challenge the refund.
I usually pay using my Kasikorn bank and with two other flights, they (Kasikorn) advised me it would only take 90 days for the process to be completed.

There is a 24-hour grace period when departing from the main airports. The amnesty ends midnight on the 26th and provided your finish with immigration by the midnight of 27th, all should be fine.
My flight is 2:00 a.m. on the 28th
