Well, that is a sad story. But my question: Do you think it's as SAD as the Gift of the Magi? ======== Still, your story is definitely sad. And, that is a nice sweater. ... might be a unisex thing, or something. Gift giving is a thankless job. This is why it's best to give money, like the Chinese. Nobody refuses money. Just remember to give more than the receiver expects.

Also, these toast better, too. Many years ago, probably around the year 1950, our family bought a toaster which lasted for a very long time. Not sure how long. Probably 50 years, or so. Now the Tefal Toaster stops Popping after One year of almost no use? Why is this? Also, the smoke from the Tefal Toaster Disaster has now completely permeated all spaces, rooms, ACs, ceilings, and everything else. Everything but, very luckily, my bedroom. So, how to get rid of the stink? And, in addition, my short term solution, since I do need my toast and tea, is to move the toaster out on my lawn, using a long electrical cable, and toast far away from anything valuable, using this Tefal Toaster. As long as the this toaster only smokes outside, then I see nothing negative in this plan. After all, there is already so much smoke in Chiang Mai that nobody will notice the smell of burning toast.

Suddenly, today, after having used this Tefal Toaster very infrequently, the auto-pop-up function stopped functioning. I was in another room, with the AC blasting, and with the door closed. The result is that the entire house, except my bedroom, is full of smoke. Why did this happen? How could a pop-up Tefal Toaster suddenly stop popping? I thought that the pop-up function on these toasters should be the very last thing to fail, because...of course...this might be a serious smoke hazard that could cause damage to furnishings. Also, it might even be a safety hazard. But no. The Toaster kept toasting. And, it toasted and toasted until the slice of bread was reduced to nothing more than a black, hard, cinder of burned wheat. The question is why this happens to a toaster. Also, how can it be fixed. The toaster cost about Bt.800 or more. And now, I have smoke in my other ACs which were also going full blast. I am not sure if this smoke smell, which has infiltrated everything in the house, can ever be completely cleaned out...meaning the smell of it. Now, after using a large fan, I still have this sickly cigarette kind of smell. Not sure if this can be cleaned out of the ACs, even with washing. But, how to fix the toaster, and WHAT went wrong with it in the first place? Such a mystery. Thank you. Gamma I think Lazada might not give me money back, even if I knew how to process something like that. I have never gotten money back in the past. Only a credit which I find it hard to use. Note: Also, I am thinking about buying one of those Tefal egg timers, so that if the Tefal toaster does not pop, then I will know that I need to check it out. But then, if the Tefal timer's alarm were to fail, then I might need to buy a second alarm, as a backup, or maybe three, just to be sure.

Lazada - If it looks too good to be true ...

you're right about the need for collective consumer action. As I think I recall saying somewhere. If you reward a rat to do this, then the rat will do this. If you reward a rat to do that, then the rat will do that. I spent much time studying rats. This is how I know about retailers and also those that profit from bloodsucking subscriptions. Just do not reward bad behavior. Simple, really. -
I defy you to tell me that any 6th-grader can read and appreciate this Magi story written by O. Henry. Simply impossible. So then, why do teachers assign this story for reading in the 6th grade? Such a travesty and a waste of a good story. Just as youth is wasted on the young; then so is the Magi wasted on 6th-graders.

Sorry. If big. Then... No. Some guys are into big. I am not. Still, the Sopranos soap-opera was one of my favorites..... Fat or Thin, I am OK with both. I will defend my position, through thick or thin.

These days, there is almost nothing that is not to do with Asia, and China. Anytime you have a problem with your credit card, you need to talk to guys in Asia. Either India or the Philippines. Even the US Navy is now pivoting to Asia. So what's it, here, that you might think has nothing to do with Asia. Maybe you have never been to Asia? (just joking, of course)
