Thailand Targets China's Aircraft Maintenance Market with New Hub
KhunLA replied to snoop1130's topic in Chiang Rai News
Not far from reality, except they use "Aircraft aluminum speed tape" And in comes in a roll, similar to a roll of duct tape. Cracked my up, the first time I saw an AC mech. applying it -
Are high end smartphones worth the money (to you)?
KhunLA replied to impulse's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
If paying attention, I unplug mine once in the 80% range. Try not to go under 50% before plugging back in. Easy for me, as I really don't use a phone much, unless O&A. -

Just a note, for longer battery life, you probably shouldn't be charging to 100% all the time. -
A van in the top 5 is a bit of a surprise, especially starting at ~฿2M price point.

RFK Jr.’s Confirmation Hearings Prove He’s Unfit to Lead HHS
KhunLA replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Nah ... no worries. Only went from ~฿35 to ฿30 / $1 during his last administration. Can't see him repeating that again, especially with a <2% average inflation rate over 4 years. I can deal with a 15% loss. Just consider it a contribution to my brothers, still stuck in USA hell -

Anything that has a camera, and my preference is a Sony camera sensor in it. Also means, you don't have to go high end, as many manufacturers use Sony sensors. Even my low end POCO (Xiaomi) phone, and my main low end vid drone. "The POCO X3 and X3 NFC have quad rear camera set-up with 64-megapixels Sony Exmor IMX682" " SG906 Pro 2 review: ZLRC’s Best Drone Yet - 4K HDR camera with Sony IMX179 image sensor" Got to read the fine print when researching products you plan on buying -

Welcome to the US Congress ... part of a worldwide franchised, though may be branded differently in your motherland. Subsidiaries under the umbrella of 'Bilderberg - Davos Group Ltd' and puppeteering Parent Company of ???? -
You were doing fine till that last little snip... 🙄 Obviously the laughing emoji didn't clue you in to the comedy. No, I don't do mine's bigger than yours. Or have monetized content, or care or need to. Good hobby, but too much work for me in this late in the game. Want a lot of views, put 'adult content' in the title. The pervs, or not, will flock to your channel

Only if you are actually going to use the camera, as that is the price driver. Don't need a fancy camera, (or a brand name) then you don't need to pay 10X as much for a phone that does everything else just fine. -

All seemed manageable till the Vietnam War, when the realized how profitable war was. I mean seriously, took 15+ years to lose a war, with a country the size of California. All paid for by tax dollars they didn't have. Then add Clinton, letting everyone & anyone, unqualified, to borrow money for homes, they couldn't pay for. Then comes president cheney, oops, sorry, bush, and another 15 - 20 ish years of losing wars, all funded on borrowed money. Then obama, bailing out clinton's mistake, instead of letting FDIC do it's thing. Can't have the stockbrokers loosing money for their indiscretions. Then comes the idiot biden, selling out the tax payer, and sending more borrowed money everywhere. Add all that up, and you're now 35T in the hole, and somehow, your credit isn't cancelled. Go figure. While the populous is making criminals heroes, fighting over pronouns and President Trumps hair You can't make this sh!t up, and why I left when cheney, oops, I mean when bush was on the bridge of that sinking ship. They got 12 yrs to straighten it out, before the 'One World Globalist' take over. -
Really ? We travel quite a bit & use, and rarely see a Q at the CS. IF both cables being use, just pop on down the road to the next. Actually surprised we don't see more Qs, as we have traveled on weekends & long weekends, and still seem to be more than enough CS about. Hopefully they will keep up with the demand for, as so far, they've done an excellent & impassive job with the CS network.

No sh!t We did buy 2 lots of land last year, and instant profit of about 40%, if we sold right away. Also decided to stop bringing my pension in, via ATM, as it earns 4.99% (?), sitting in USA. Figure if I crap out, wife can have brother transfer instantly out of my account to his (since we use same broker), then send to her. Was a nice experiment last year, living on my pittance of a pension, and not touching my Soc Sec. Anything better than the 1 ish % they give us here @ BBL. 🙄 On topic ... as always ... hopefully the doomsayers will be accurate, and tariffs will jack up inflation, and the lower exchange rate, if continues, will be off set by a nice COLA. Saw a YT short yesterday, and didn't realize, prior to WW I & II, most govt spending, the whole damn budget almost, was financed by tariffs on imports. WTF How did it all turn the opposite so fast ? Thieving bastards 🥵 -
Western Food - when only this will do !
KhunLA replied to CharlieH's topic in Western Food in Thailand
Living in a foreign country, Asian to top it off, one needs to learn how to make all those things themselves. Or be prepared to pay a silly price, for someone to do it for them. Sometimes not so silly, as many of one's favorites, are time consuming to make, and ingredients, unless buying in bulk, aren't cheap. Try making a simple pizza, if buying 100gr or 250gr of cheese & meat toppings, and the jar of sauce, which is too much. It turns into an expensive pizza. I buy that stuff by the 1 or 2 kilos. Same with cream cheese, if making a cheesecake. 250gr isn't enough, so you get 500gr, (still not enough for mine (680gr) for ฿300, if lucky, or you buy 4X that (2kg) for ฿700. Then it's affordable. But now got 1.5 kg left over, and do you really want to eat cheesecake every day for a week ... hell yea But now you need more space in your frig (we have 2) and a full kitchen & appliances to make. Doesn't work in a small box condo, apartment, hotel room living space. -
Trump’s Proposal for Gazan Relocation makes perfect sense
KhunLA replied to Social Media's topic in The War in Israel
Yea, I'll be called anti sematic, but F'it. The fact that Israel violates & ignores so many useless UN resolutions and peace treaties, is pure evidence of their present and future intentions. Not that Palestinians / Hamas do themselves any favors with their antics. Though living under Israel's life threatening tyranny ... IMHO .... can't be pleasant. -

President Trump learned from his mistake of his first administration. Picking the party suggestions, and poor choices most of them were. Realizing the party (also part of the problem / deep state) is, and never will be behind him. So this time, he's picking who he wants, and trusts, hopefully to do a better job. His party will approve his picks, as they know, being in is crosshairs, isn't the best career choice for their future. If he fails, oh well, as he can do no worse than the Biden administration. That's not even possible. So far, in less than 3 weeks, he's done more good than the whole term of Biden. Cost me over ฿1000, maybe, (first 2 weeks), but I'll take one for the team- 161 replies

Air Fryers: Your New Kitchen Companion ?
KhunLA replied to CharlieH's topic in Western Food in Thailand
Don't use in air fryer, for that reason, and wouldn't fit anyway. I did buy a silicone 'insert', helps keep air fryer clean, along with ease of lifting food out, but after realized, it does defeat the purpose of air frying, as restricts the air circulation, so gets used very sparingly. It was nice thought, but not well though out -
Yes, it should help. Where would the 'in' air be coming from ? You may not want the warm or damp outdoor air displacing what's already there. We have a storage area that you step 'down' into, from the main house, and we simply leave the doors open, and let the AC naturally flow down into it. Cools it off enough, as park the ebike in there when not using. Make sure any fan has screen and or louvered so no critters or insects can get in. You may even find one (haven't looked for or seen) one that is temp controlled. Had those back in USA, in attic area.
