Location dependent, as where I am, I rarely drive more than 50 kph, especially on the E-MC (completely exposed), to ebike, <40 kph (25 usually), to the car, which we'll use when doing stock up shopping, and requires doing a tad more speed, as on hwy #4, but also divided and very short distance. So very little chance of an oops. If doing a lot of highway miles, high speed around town and prone to oops, then yes, something to consider...maybe

Full abdominal ultrasound, tells you exactly how large or if any unwanted mass. Or better, simply get full abdominal CT Scan. Either at least once 50+ yrs old or younger. I use to get ultrasound as included with check up, yearly or so. If not included, then an easy add-on. Got the CT Scan (no dye) this year, just for piece of mind. Full check up, <10k baht at private hospital. Worth the extra baht, over govt hosp, unless very patient. I liked (Executive) @ Camillian Hosp @ Thong Lo area. Never needed an appointment. Arrive around 0800, after a fast from 1800 hrs the night before. All test done before 1100, come back after a munch, for results & consultation. They'll give you a report (all your #s) or mail to you. Join member club before hand for discount. A few test (cancer markers), always in the packages, useless, usually, unless way off the charts, but good to have, IF, you get yearly check ups, and now having a 'baseline' for comparison, as any major movement may tell you something. Add HbAc1 if not included. Make sure bladder is full before ultrasound. Don't P a second time after you wake up, and there is water available to drink before hand, (ask if not offered) as doc usually shows up late anyway. After the ultrasound, around 0930-1000 hrs, you're basically done. If not many folks there. Give you a food coupon, and cafeteria in basement to munch & kill time. Or if you know how to read numbers, easy, just leave & have them mail you the results. Although, if #s off the charts, then you'd need to return anyway, so chill, since there. If not a morning dump kind of person, then bring a stool sample with you. Doesn't need to be fresh that day, as I think they just test the 'texture', and test for any blood residue. No need to bring urine sample, as you'll definitely need to P after the ultrasound, if not before.

Here's a thought ... the ones supporting the less expensive imports, rather than 'buying USA', are probably the same ones that can not longer find good paying jobs in the manufacturing sector, since it mostly went overseas. Corporate lobbyist run the govt, make more profits by being allowed to manufacture overseas, taking the job market with them, so now you're dependent on imports. Along with open southern border and rampant illegal immigrants, taking the few jobs that are available, at lower wages, due to supply & demand. Looking for someone to blame for the mess, look no further than the mirror. You royally screwed yourselves. Try researching and thinking before you vote. Let that sink in, take as long as you need, don't hurt yourself.

Most people are sleeping while the battery is charging. When having our ICEV, it was a special trip to the petrol station, as none in my daily travels that I would use. 5-10 mins from pulling in to leaving, 52 weeks a year, so maybe 520 mins / 8.6 hrs a year. Even when O&A, we never waited that long in one year. Usually done charging about same time or sooner, than we are ready to continue down the road. So rarely any wait time when charging at CSs. Almost always charge while we're doing something else, so rarely even a special stop to charge the car. We not fragile, just tire of the BS and false narrative that the trolls and ignorant people push.

Either I'm very lucky, or just a better shopper. Not sure. I usually don't buy the cheapest version, though do seem to find the best price for same items. Need to be careful, as plenty of fakes out there. Why I only buy from flagship stores on LAZ. May cost 20-100% more, but that tells you they aren't fakes. People buy stuff for silly prices, yea, they are going to be crap, as impossible to make quality at such low prices. Use a bit of uncommon common sense. Our BEVs; SAIC/MG, DECO, DIY ebike, all whole or part from CN, and excellent. First battery I bought for ebike was silly cheap, and as expected, didn't last, though longer than I thought. Next battery, rated less, though 2X the size & price, going strong and takes me further. NO surprise there. Almost all my drones, RC toys, whether DIY or RTF (ready to fly) have be excellent, with a couple exceptions. Again, price point = no surprise. Half my camera gear from CN, including my most expensive lens ($2k USD), and freakin' amazing. Most other products I have are assembled or made wholly in TH, and standing the test of time. Parts probably from CN. I'm an Electrolux fan, more expensive, but other brand products died, so not a CC when shopping for many things. Lesson learned early. You do get what you pay for, most times, in and from most countries. The whole point of the tariffs is to jack up the imported prices, to force the manufacturing to return to the USA, and manufacture in the USA. Create job, force innovations. When I lived in USA, 24+ years ago, I bought many things, clothes especially, as Eddie Bauer fan, a Seattle company. Don't know who owns them now. Cars were made in USA, though brands from JP in the later years, but made in USA. All way before CN became the manufacturing hub of American companies. Even the USA cars are made in CA & MX, why Trump didn't like NAFTA, that Clinton signed, which saw jobs leaving the USA. Till USA starts manufacturing again, things will probably be a bit more expensive, for those not supporting MADE IN USA products already. Not American made, USA MADE. It's pretty simple, as the last 25+ years, the voters have let the lobbyist run the country, since they aren't involved or know anything about who they vote for. So you got cheaper products now, corporations got more profits. But gave up jobs ... oh well ... som nam na Time to pay the piper, or remain a service oriented employment force, serving the elite, who you blindly followed. Think about it ... Gulf Wars & Covid ... are you really that stupid

My patriotic duty ended when I left the US Army. Paid my taxes, when I had to, for almost 30 years. Left USA in 2000. We're (USA & myself) are on our own. I'm doing my thing, it's doing it's thing.

Some of the best things I have are made in CN, and TH. Actually most things. Laptop from Korea, but about the only thing I can think of, off the top of my head.

I for one didn't come here for hookers or girlie bars, and actually avoid them. Don't like bars and don't like drunks, not that type of environment anyway Talking and being with women was never a problem.
-
The subject matter concerns US citizens living in the USA. I'm not one of them, so tariffs don't affect me at all.
-
Be patriotic and simply 'buy USA' .. then no issue with any tariffs That is what people want, and why they voted the way they did Those against tariffs would be the folks buying imported goods, not caring about the America worker, production, jobs, stronger, more independent USA.

Once again, people blame the BEV manufacturers for things out of their control. If the govt is pushing BEV & Hybrids, maybe 'THEY' should insure the necessary safeguards and CS networks are in place. Not the auto manufacturer responsibility, but yet, everything is the fault of the EV manufacturers. Ferries will catch for because inadequate equipment of fight fires. There grid can supply enough electric, or there aren't enough CSs. All things out of their/EV makers control. Theoretically, the govt does what the people want. So it's the ICEV voters who don't require the govt to put their paranoia at ease. You want EV, but fail to prepare for them. Not mine or MG's or CN's fault ... deal with it, as we're happy just the way things are, since not delusional. Have a nice day

And very happy that I did. I support countries and manufacturers the produce the best product for the best price, so they can continue do so. Yes, all better and more affordable ... BEV,s; car, MC, ebike, drones, some camera gear, some appliances & our Solar system. Feel free to spend more on inferior products ... UP2U

.... "“Firstly, the battery pack in a new electric car is significantly more fireproof than in an old one. When we short-circuited the battery cells in a Renault Fluence, the whole battery caught fire. When we ignited it in a newer Tesla model 3, only the battery cell affected caught fire. Secondly, the positive message is that fires in electric cars on board ferries are manageable and not something we need to fear. All the fires in our tests could be extinguished, so with the correct fire-fighting technologies on board, the correct training of the crew and well-coordinated collaboration with the onshore emergency services, electric cars should not pose a safety problem in ferry traffic,” says Alexander Kleiman."

I don't understand either. What is so great about overpriced under performing ICEV. One guy on another thread going on how his Raptor, cost 2X+, would blow me away, since being 2 secs faster getting to 100 kph. Or another going on about their Fortuner can carry more people. Like I want to take the in-laws with me everywhere I go Here I'm stuck with that short, fire trap that could could flame up if wet, or blow up if I hit bump. Not to mention I'm not contributing to the economy, since charge with solar. I also apologize for being a successful white male ... please forgive me

Maybe they should ban fat people also. Apples for Apples ... our MG ZS vs Camry. What's the problem ? Salt water ... really ? Guess I should stop driving along the surfside road, as there's quite a spray this time of year, as it slams against the sea wall. Actually I avoid that no matter what I used to drive. I road my E-MC in the rain, and live to tell about it Got to avoid those speed bumps & pot holes, as I read on AN, BEVs blow up when driving over AN & MSM ... great comic relief

And most sensible people would top up before getting on a ferry to an island. It's not rocket science. How many times do you plan on driving around the island. I drove around it once, boring as hell. You have CS near the pier, and over where most people hang out on Samui. With more than a few before you leave the mainland. Along with the option to actually charge at your accommodations, if they allow.
